Madeline greeted me right away and was so friendly and personable. I was there when they opened, so they took my car in right away. She only recommended services that really needed to be completed like a transmission flush and radiator flush, both of which are way overdue. They showed me the dirty oil (our car uses oil, always has and needs engine flushes quite often). Afterward, I got to see the stick showing the oil full and clean. They also replaced a brake light, checked and topped up the fluids and made the air pressure equal in all tires. The waiting room is nice with coffee and a tv. I brought my own coffee,but would suggest they have cream available for the coffee, or I wouldn't partake. Another woman there didn't have any for the same reason. I really appreciated being able to know the total up front before they started on anything and no pressure about things that need to be done in the future. They also charge half what Mr. Lube was asking for the engine flush. The mechanics were super fast and Madeline offered such excellent customer service. An honest and friendly place to have your maintenance performed. Will be back later in the month to have the other two services performed.

I had work done at meineke several weeks ago. They used a faulty tie rod to do repairs. All told,…read moretaxes, labor and the tie rod included, it was over $500. I had to get the work redone at a different shop because meineke was unable to take me right away and I had to go out of town. (They were apparently swamped with tire change outs.) The mechanic at the new shop gave me the faulty tie rod and suggested I "ask meineke for a refund". I went back to meineke and they REFUSED to refund me! I wrote about this on Google maps as I was very angry and upset about this. Someone at Meineke saw the review, and contacted me to try to resolve the issue. I took the faulty tie rod into meineke's so they could take it to wherever they get their parts to verify that it was in fact faulty and it was. They admitted it was! I expected a full refund. They only authorized $102 which was supposedly the cost of the tie rod. No taxes, no labor. Nothing for my troubles included, and now I'm really livid with them! Do NOT go to Meineke on Fairway in Kitchener as they will not correct their mistakes. They obviously don't care about their customers, and will take you for all they can get!

Even though they were closed, an employee named Terry ran out and over a street to my car and helped us put on a spare even after his shift was over. He gave us advice about the car and made sure we were safe once we left. After we came back the next day got our tire replaced within 1 hour. However, after I arrived I was told it would actually be about $40, and was eventually charged about $48+tax. I called the store's manager to point this out, but he would not acknowledge the mistake made by his employee or offer to rectify it. Too often, I've found mechanics give wrong or misleading information about prices of services, and this mechanic seems to be no exception. It was my first--and likely last--visit to this stop.
