Unfortunately we were in a cloud at the top and couldn't see a thing. I'm sure on a clear day the views are fantastic. The man that rode up with us was full of information and the staff was very friendly. The hike at the top is very lovely with lots of moss covered ground and interesting trees and shrubs. But we had no need to climb up the observation tower as we couldn't see 20 feet in front of us anyway. On a clear day, this tramway would be a must-do!

Lovely views and awesome to have a nooner on the mountaintop! The day is clear and we can see 60 miles away! Kevin was a great bartender!!! Great day

Excellent attraction in the Notch area. Great views from the Summit including Echo Lake. Our tram operator (John) was very knowledgeable & friendly and also a CT transplant as well. A very gentle ride takes you up in about seven minutes. There is also an observation deck that nay be open for additional views once you reach the Summit, weather permitting. There is a snack shop at the Summit and multiple walking trails. Trams run every 15 minutes. You can take any tram ride down when ready to depart. Peak season is mid September when the leaves have rich foliage color. The base station has bike rentals available and a gift shop. I recommend the Discovery Pass which gives you access to the nearby Flume Gorge attraction for one low price.

Breathtaking views. Would love to come here for skiing lessons one day. It was foggy and a little chilly and drizzly but totally worth it. Loved it here the lady at the store was very sweet and warm. We bought a hoody and a mug. Loved the trail and views.

Super fun trip! Lots of options to stay and hike and the views and pines are amazing! Worth your time and money!

This is a must-visit if you are visiting Franconia park. Make sure you get the discovery pass which gives you access to this tramway and Flume Gorge. The tramway ride is 7 minutes long which provides beautiful views (don't stand in the center because you won't get a good view if it's crowded). Once you reach the top, it's a short 15 minute walk to get to the summit. The views on the walk are breathtaking as is the view from the summit. There are tramway rides every 15 minutes when you want to get back down.

Really fun way to look out for miles! On a nice day, you can see all the way into Quebec, Canada. Be sure to dress warmly. The temperature was about 20 degrees colder at the top of the mountain than at the bottom. A ticket for one adult is $17, which is a bit pricey for a ride that lasted no more than 10 minutes. However, this is a great alternative for those who want the view without hiking to the top. There is a short walking trail that circles the top of the mountain so you can do a bit of sightseeing. Just make sure to go on a day with low precipitation. We arrived on a cloudy day and the entire mountain was covered in fog. When you get hungry, be sure to stop inside the restaurant at the top of the mountain for a yummy sandwich. I ordered a spinach, brie, and tomato sandwich with balsamic glaze. Such a classic sandwich to end my commune with nature! The potato chips on the side tasted homemade - yum yum!

View from tram looking NNW. Pictures don't do it justice

Today is one of the clearest day of the entire year, as was told by the tram guide. Cold breezy with beautiful view.

It was a bit chilly but the cross ropes were really fun and me and my girlfriend had a really good time . Rating: 4.7 Tried…read moretheir zip line course during the off season since there were limited things open around the area. We booked online a head of time and made a reservation for a time. We got there 10minutes early and were informed some guidelines to follow. Got myself a hat since I forgot to bring one was pretty cold. Since it was during offseason we were only ones there. We were escorted to the gear house and equipped with helmet, safety harness and a latch. The staff gave us a ride to the zip line course and took a truck up the hill. They did tell us to make sure to keep helmet on and seatbelt because it was going to be rough ride up due to it being mud season. It sure was a rough ride up and probably was in the air quite a few times during the ride. I looked at one of the staff and used my foot to secure myself like he was doing to keep myself stable which helped. It was definitely the toughest part of the experience. Once we got to the zip line area we were given a brief instructions for safety and we buckled up and started our zip line session. In the beginning it was a bit intimidating but the staffs were all very nice and made us feel safe during the experience. Once we got going it was very enjoyable and thrilling. It was cold but we were mostly prepared and dressed warm and the hat I purchased helped. The views were also beautiful. At the end we got to go in a treehouse and take some picture at the end. After we finished we were escorted back to the truck and took the van to the main facility which was a mild ride compared to on the way. We dropped off our equipments and left the facility. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and had a great time. Everyone was nice and accommodating made us feel safe. It was also nice that we were only ones there because we got a private session and full attention during the experience. Definitely would recommend for those that enjoy or beginner who would like to try zip lining. My partner who can be la little anxious about these experience enjoyed it and was perfectly fine throughout the experience. The experience was a bit on pricier side but I think it was worth it.

The ladies at the admission booth were friendly, welcoming, and helpful in directing us where to go. Be prepared for the walk of a lifetime! There are some steep hills and plenty of uphill and downhill sections, but the breathtaking views make every step worth it. The scenery is simply spectacular. A few tips for visitors: wear comfortable hiking or walking shoes, bring plenty of water, strollers are not recommended, a rain jacket isn't really necessary; you'll only encounter a little mist when passing by the large cascade, if you're traveling with toddlers, a good hiking backpack carrier is highly recommended, bring a handheld or neck fan because you'll definitely work up a sweat, don't forget sunscreen and bug spray. Take your time, enjoy the incredible natural beauty, and soak in the experience. This is a place I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

It's weird to pay this much to see nature, and that's why it's a 4 star review. It's a state park,…read morebut for a family of 4 we paid $71 to go on a hike. (The advance ticket price for 3 adults/1 child) I get that the flume itself has many steps that must be maintained, but still.... The flume is a 100000/10 stars, and I'm not upset I spent the money. A lot of uphill, so plan to take your time if you aren't used to that.
