We got there 10minutes early and were informed some guidelines to follow. Got myself a hat since I forgot to bring one was pretty cold. Since it was during offseason we were only ones there. We were escorted to the gear house and equipped with helmet, safety harness and a latch. The staff gave us a ride to the zip line course and took a truck up the hill. They did tell us to make sure to keep helmet on and seatbelt because it was going to be rough ride up due to it being mud season. It sure was a rough ride up and probably was in the air quite a few times during the ride. I looked at one of the staff and used my foot to secure myself like he was doing to keep myself stable which helped. It was definitely the toughest part of the experience. Once we got to the zip line area we were given a brief instructions for safety and we buckled up and started our zip line session. In the beginning it was a bit intimidating but the staffs were all very nice and made us feel safe during the experience. Once we got going it was very enjoyable and thrilling. It was cold but we were mostly prepared and dressed warm and the hat I purchased helped. The views were also beautiful. At the end we got to go in a treehouse and take some picture at the end. After we finished we were escorted back to the truck and took the van to the main facility which was a mild ride compared to on the way. We dropped off our equipments and left the facility. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and had a great time. Everyone was nice and accommodating made us feel safe. It was also nice that we were only ones there because we got a private session and full attention during the experience. Definitely would recommend for those that enjoy or beginner who would like to try zip lining. My partner who can be la little anxious about these experience enjoyed it and was perfectly fine throughout the experience. The experience was a bit on pricier side but I think it was worth it.

If you have back problems, this is not the car ride for you~ apparently during the summer, guests have to hike up rather than use the trucks which seems like a moderate level walk in my opinion. We were the only guest since it was spring off season~ plenty of mud but it was great! We prepped with our hiking boots, layers, and hats are a must. Gloves helped our hands stay warm. The staff seem close and look like they enjoy what they do~ really great experience filled with views and good happy adrenaline screams!

"Your request sounds familiar. Have we spoken before?" I said "No, but I did use your website to put in a request, but never heard anything back. Did you send an e-mail or try to call me?" SHE said: "Uh .. no .. I never got around to it". We have friends and family flying in and out of the Portland FBO all summer. They will NOT be using Maine Lift.

Traveled again with him just recently and would recommend highly. New, spacious and clean car. It is outfitted with an enclosed rooftop luggage rack, and the suv looks like it sits at least six. Anyway, glad I found steve. A real lifesaver.

What really stood out was that both the driver and the company followed up after the trip just to check that I got home safely. It's a small thing, but it made the whole ride feel less like a transaction and more like getting a ride from a friend or a cousin. We called and got pricing for both the pick up (early hour fee applied) and then they were going to sign her out of the hospital and bring her home to me (she was under anesthesia so she needed to be with a person during recovery). I was told that they use transport wheelchairs and they had a "no touch, no catch" policy. This I understood. The driver gave my mom a lecture about the ramp we have outside and she claims it is unsafe. First, no one wants to be lectured on the way to their heart procedure. Second, the ramp holds 800 pounds and was designed to be semi-portable. It has some flex when you get to the middle of it. Anyone who knows physics or understands statics and dynamics knows that flex is necessary by design. Inflexible items break. Buildings and bridges are built to sway; they remain intact because they are designed to flex rather than have a critical failure (I.e., break into pieces). The ramp is well constructed, has high ratings and was installed by a former NASA scientist. I think he'd have mentioned it if it was a serious problem. The day of the procedure, my mom was driven home. I am recovering from my own surgery and can't get outside. I heard my mom from where I'm at in the house. I could hear the driver on her cellphone but wasn't able to make out what was going on. Then came the lights. I had emergency vehicles in front of the house. Then it went dark and I was left in the house wondering what happened. My mother had fallen and hit her head. The driver had called 911. She had my number and had spoken with me previously, yet she left without ever calling me to tell me what happened. My mother was in a neck brace for hours before she could call me to tell me what had happened. So, as far as the quality of my mother's trip I would argue that she was taken to and from the hospital. She received an opinionated lecture from the driver who lacks any background of the specific ramp that we have. (She also gave her unasked for information about how to get rid of the second car in our two driveways.) At no time did she have the courtesy to call and let me know that she was not bringing my mom through the door for me to watch. She should have called to tell me that she fell and was on the way to the Emergency Department for scans to look for internal bleeding. Professionalism dictates that. But I would have thought that she could comprehend that you don't leave an individual hanging on wondering why their loved one never walked through the door. Will she get you from point A to B, likely. You'll be told along the way whatever it she feels needs fixing and how to do it. As mentioned, if your loved one doesn't walk through the door, do not expect her to tell you anything. Pray that you will get a call from your family member in a reasonable amount of time. I believe that people are generally decent until they prove themselves otherwise. Maybe this rating will give someone else pause to see that they are treated with respect from point of contact all the way through a completed job. Bottom line: they called 911 for my mother who had fallen on the deck right outside the door of the house. I'm recovering from surgery and was unable to get to that part of the house to figure out why I could hear them but my mom never came home. She lacked the professionalism and empathy to even call me or open the door to inform me that my mother was en route to the Emergency department for scans. We arrived at the doctors' office (at the specified time), to a taped note on a locked door: 'Gone to lunch...'. Christina showed complete empathy and shock at the apparent disregard for the efforts taken to make it on time. Before leaving us there, she made sure we had contact information, should we be ready before her return. A professional, with courtesy. All the driving staff have been similar to Christina. For those reasons, we would recommend Coastal for wheelchair transportation.
