Great value in the off season. Double bedroom was large and in very nice condition. Most parking slots are under solar cell canopies. Keeps cars cooler Pool and hot tub are very large and nice with trees and umbrellas for shade. Staff was very nice. Included breakfast was good but no pastries or whole fruit. Fruit cups are available and can include yogurt. Omelet station did a nice job. WIFI was poor. Often it would drop away or be very slow. Almost no place to walk to for food or drinks. 10 minute drive does give you some options. 20 minutes is better. read more

We ended up leaving early and would not stay here again. The room we were assigned was ground level with a sliding door that opened directly into an active parking lot no barrier, no separation, just cars and people walking directly past with full visibility into the room. Traveling with a toddler, this felt unsafe and completely inappropriate. There was direct access to moving vehicles just steps outside the door and no real sense of privacy. The next morning, we tried to address this at the front desk and were told to contact a manager. We followed instructions, called, left a voicemail, and provided our personal number. No one ever called back. The front desk interaction with Mike was also unprofessional and dismissive, which made the situation worse instead of better. We chose not to stay the remaining nights due to safety concerns and lack of response, yet the hotel still refused to authorize any refund for the unused portion of the stay. This was not the level of care or accountability I would expect from a property that markets itself as a resort. read more

The property itself is beautiful, but unfortunately the customer service left a lot to be desired. After spending over $1,000 for two nights, I received a phone call three hours after checking out accusing me of taking a pillow from the room. I rented a suite that was essentially two connected rooms. We used the sofa bed and left the bedding in the king room. The pillow they were questioning was supposedly from the double-bed room. If I had known they were counting pillows and towels so closely, I would have taken photos of everything before unpacking. Being accused of stealing something so minor was honestly insulting. What made the situation worse is that the property seems to track everything in an unusually strict way. If you ask for extra towels, you must provide the exact number of dirty towels in exchange. At the pool, towels are not freely available like most resorts; you have to sign them out to your room and they count them again when you return them. Breakfast was also disappointing. It is advertised more generously than what is actually provided. Each guest receives one omelet, two microwaved sausages, a very small cup of fruit, a small portion of potatoes, and two tiny microwaved pancakes. They stamp your card so you cannot receive any additional items. Even though our suite had a dining table, guests are not allowed to take the paper plates or utensils back to their rooms. The property itself is lovely, but the constant counting of towels, food, and even pillows made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The final phone call accusing me of taking a pillow was the unfortunate ending to what could have been a relaxing stay. read more

Caution! They have no empathy, sympathy or kindness when you cancel your reservation for emergency situations. We received an email on letterhead the day we notified them of the cancellation that stated there would be no charge, zero balance. Six days later our credit card was charged for full price. We called and emailed D, the assistant general manager to have them correct the payment and was told she did not approve it and the charge will stand. WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PROPERTY AND WILL BE SHARING OUR EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS. read more

He apologized profusely for what I had been told and immediately made good on contacting Booking.com who actually had the money for the reservation, not the resort, to immediately return the money my husband paid for our stay for our anniversary, this is a very charming resort, beautiful golf course, grounds, with a wonderful restaurant that we went to many times, and had many enjoyable meals, and hope you will too. read more

Great layout and a challenging layout but the worst bunkers I've ever seen in 70 years of playing. They are rock hard and full of rocks.

Started with lunch there. Had the smash burger and a salad. The burger was perhaps the worst burger of my life. It was grotesque. I'm certain my salad dressing was rancid so after one bite I put it away. The golf course is beautiful. But supposed to have range balls but there were none. Went to chip but giving a group lesson and it was closed. This is for a noon tee time. Apparently the morning outing was slow so we teed off 45 minutes late. Beautiful course and views. Liked the greens but some of the worst bunkers ever. Absolutely no maintenance on the bunkers in years. Several were unplayable. So a mixed bag. I would only return if a tournament I wanted to play was there. read more

Every weekday I stayed here they did construction literally right outside my window starting at 6:30 am. Not too pleasant to be woken up at 6:30 am by drilling when you are paying a couple hundred a night to stay here. In addition, the breakfast is terrible and only lasts until 9:30 am. As it turns out, this was not a problem since I was woken up at 6:30 am every weekday. They advertise it as a "breakfast buffet" but in fact everything worth eating is behind a counter, and they will refuse to give you more than one serving. Therefore, it is not actually a buffet with respect to anything other than cereal or coffee. The woman behind the counter is also rude. As far as the rooms go, they are okay, but small for the price and all the rooms have doors leading to the room next door, which made me uncomfortable even though the door was locked. read more

I'm currently in the middle of a stay here. First of three days, and I'm already not that impressed. When I checked in, asked about a late check out on Sunday since I'll be golfing in the morning. Don't want my belongings in the truck when it'll be over a hundred degrees that day. I was told they couldn't do it. When I got into my room, I was expecting it to be real nice and clean. Instead there is wall damaged, wall is also dirty. Some really bad repairs have been done here. The curtains don't shut all the way. And this is just the first night. We stayed there for a few nights in a one-bedroom suite. The view was absolutely beautiful! We loved the fully stocked kitchen; it had everything we could need and more. The bed was comfortable, and the pullout bed was also very comfortable! Charlie at the front desk was absolutely delightful. He helped us countless times during our stay, always going the extra mile and really making our stay extra special! The rooms were very large and clean with lots of storage. Breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. Our only complaint would be that the young girl working breakfast the morning of December 28th and 29th was extraordinarily rude to us on two separate occasions, once giving us a dirty look and then slamming the door in our faces because we left it open a crack, and the other time ignoring us while glaring at us. Every other person we encountered here was delightful, and we will be returning we will just be sure to close the door behind us on our way out of breakfast next time :) read more

There is The Grill on the Green, just across the street, for lunch and dinner, but you must drive to find others. There is no transportation available around the resort, to or from the nearest town. As someone else told me, it's the best of the worst. If you get a room with a view, the view at sunrise is beautiful. Don't take a two queen bed room. They have a sliding door to a light tunnel that looks onto an inner hallway. A dreadful room. The rooms are a bit worn out. The coffee maker had a broken pot. They say that breakfast is served till 930 but they stop offering hot food options before then and lock the doors to prevent people from entering at 9:25. The servers are rude. So I chose this resort based on the advice of my mother, a local senior, who said she'd heard it was nice. It's also conveniently located about a mile from her home. I got a deal and at first glance the place seems nice. Clean, no bugs inside, and friendly employees. However. As I returned to my room to get ready to go to sleep etc I noticed a few things. This place looks like it's been repaired with bubblegum and shoestrings. Cellular reception is horrible but they have free Wi-Fi so that is nice. When I noticed my landline wasn't operational in my room, I went to the front desk. The person there was very nice and friendly, and sent someone to check it out right away. That person was also courteous and professional. When he moved the bedside table to see if it was plugged in, the marble looking top was not attached to the bedside table. What started my deeper awareness was when i went to take a shower. One of the doors really wouldn't open. Once i got inside and finally got hot water, i saw that the slider was damaged. And moldy. And the shower drain cover is broken. And the grout looks stained/moldy. Then i noticed the sink handles as it as brushing my teeth. They are totally broken and not secured to the sink. The ac vent cover is mangled. See pictures. My room is quiet though, so I suppose if you can overlook a few safety things, it's okay. The tissue box in the bathroom had about 6 tissues crammed in the top. Like something someone would do if they were changing tissue boxes in their home and some left over from a previous box. Oh also one of my pillows has some old eye makeup all over it. Makes me wonder how much cleaning they're actually doing. It seemed quiet enough. And the outside seems up to date. But the inside needs a lot of attention in my opinion. The complimentary breakfast left a lot to be desired. But I also think we are moving back from Covid-life back to almost a sense of normalcy. I'll likely stay here again if I visit, as it's close proximity to my elderly parents is ideal. However, I'll ask to inspect my room first. Overall, meh. read more

This place is not good. We reserved a queen bed room. The bed is right next to the wall. There was s no night table on right side of bed which is one foot from wall! And, to make matters worse, there is a super large hook sided for holding the drapes. It juts out from wall 8 inches towards end of where the foot of bed is! So there is basically half a foot of space to get out! It's an accident waiting to happen! The elevator in our building, #12, is out so we had to lug our stuff up three floors. It took about three to five minutes for hot water in shower. The place sucks! read more

Unbeknownst to me the 2 queen room is more like a utility room turned into a very bad hotel room. We had beds with severe sink spots, there was no table, an odd and loud ac unit in the closet,no windows just a sliding door to an odd atrium that is flanked by other rooms and you can't use that door. The toilet is super industrial and sounds like a jet engine. We had some one on a connecting room screaming until late periodically but between the ac and the refrigerator I blocked it out. Almost left after the first night but it was a long drive home for tired people. The next day we awoke to black ants everywhere. I was offered when I checked in to upgrade to a king suite but not wanting any one to sleep on a couch I stuck with 2 queens and ended up in the worst room Ive ever had at any "resort". I wouldn't stay here again but on the positive side most staff was nice but felt a little condescending by one because apparently I booked the "lowest economy" room. I wanted 2 beds not nescessarily the cheapest. I called direct this is what I got. I did see a suite it looked nice but I can't truly say as I didn't stay in one. Also this hotel is isolated not convenient if you need water snacks gas etc. They charge a large mark up on Ramen in the lobby. The omlete at breakfast tasted fine but not much else. Restaurant across the way was decent golf grill fare. I was advised at check out of management contact but they already know what wrong with this room and I have no need to return. read more

My family and I had an awful experience with their breakfast buffet staff. As I waited in line to grab breakfast for my family I watched the kitchen manager be rude to the people inline in front of me and was dreading my turn to order. When she saw the number of breakfast passes I had she became upset and started to yell at me and say that I had too many passes for one individual. I explained to her that my family was sitting at a table and that we all wanted the same thing so I figured it was easier if I just ordered the same for everyone instead of having everyone in line, as the line area was already crowded. My extended family was all there for a wedding so it was easier this way and I didn't see how it was a problem given I had passes for them all. In fact, we had 2 extras. She asked her colleague to go count my family members. Again, what different did it make if I had passes with quantities on them? I explained to her that the front desk gave me the passes as part of our stay and that I didn't know why she thought there was a problem. Mind you she is not speaking to me, she is yelling at me. After deciding she had no choice she said she would make the omelettes when she wanted to and that I needed to go away and sit down. I told her I waited in line like everyone else and that it was not fair for her to skip my order because it was "too big" and that I was fine waiting there until my order was made. At that point she and her colleague are angry about having to make my order and they both begin to use profanity. Yes, profanity directed at a guest! What kind of place is this? Quite frankly I was in disbelief, I've never in my life been treated this poorly at a hotel and certainly never been cursed at by staff or disrespected this way. It cannot get more unprofessional than that and I stay in hotels ~40 nights/yr and this was a first. It was totally unacceptable treatment especially considering we were guests and in no situation is it ever okay to treat someone else this way. I asked for her manager and she stated she was the property manager, which was a lie. She back tracked on it after I went to speak to the front desk personnel. Again we only stayed here because it was the wedding selected hotel, I personally prefer Marriott properties and after this experience we will not be back. It's a shame because our family really liked the property and was considering it for a family retreat. I didn't want to leave a bad review without first giving them the opportunity to address the situation and act on my feedback but the on-site personnel did nothing. I was told "sorry" by the contact on site. I also left the property manager (I believe his name is Bryan) a voicemail and never heard back from him. read more

We never get tired of the fantastic views of the Santa Rita mountains. The suites are always comfortable with a full kitchen and laundry facilities and large balcony. The hot tub spa pool have also been redone and are beautiful. The carpet in the suites have been replaced and we see other upgrades throughout the property. Curtains were hanging off the window, no toilet paper in the bathroom and way too many people at that tiny pool (without wrist bands) during a pandemic. Staying in this hotel was a worst experience in my life. Building and elevator smells lake a farm with cows. Room window doesn't open to outside just open to a hole. Soo... we stayed here for a wedding. Be prepared that you will need a vehicle to get around as this resort is in the middle of nowhere. I had to use a Uber to get to the closest town Sahuarita.. which was about 25-30 minute drive and cost about $30 dollars each way. Tucson is about 45 min away and cost me $50. It does not have a gift shop. There are no gas stations, restaurants (aside from 1), fast food places or activities to do nearby.... they offer a complimentary breakfast with omelettes cooked by only 1 chef so the line can be lengthy. read more

lovely grounds,great location, gorgeous views. we started out in a 2 queen room....our window looked out to another window in a hallway area, and since you could see into the room from the hallway window, we had to keep our curtains shut. we requested a different room with a view, and for only 40 dollars more we got a 1 bedroom king suite. it was enormous, condo style with full kitchen and balcony....incredible views. absolutely well worth the extra. our a/c went out when we were there, the maintenance department was quick, helpful and friendly. breakfast was included....omelets and such, which were good....but you had to eat inside the conference style room it was served in. we tried to take it outside to sit but were reprimanded by a staff member that due to health dept rules we had to eat indoors(off of styrofoam plates...on a plastic round table....this really made it feel like we were in a budget hotel) one of the breakfast staff members was not pleasant on any of the days we were there, she did not seem to be happy at all to serve anyone. we decided to forgo the breakfast after a few days and make our own up in the room. read more

I stayed here over the Thanksgiving Weekend. Stayed here about 5 years ago and it was terrible. Heard they had remodeled so thought I would try it again. Big mistake. The walls are still paper thin. Can hear everything in the room next door. My only window looked out on a very small atrium type area that looked into windows all around. And of course, anyone could look into my room. So had to keep the drapes closed the whole time making it a dungeon. Tiny room. In the bathroom, the righthand faucet handle of the sink was broken, no water came out when it giggled. How could the maid NOT have told manager? Both lights in the room were on their last legs. Breakfast area was a joke. I asked the girl at front desk if the restaurant across the street was serving breakfast and she said yes, a buffet. Got in my car (raining) and went over there. They were serving a Thanksgiving brunch at 11:00. It was then 8:00. Back to the hotel. She gave me wrong info, probably on purpose. The only thing nice here were the Arizona Scenes murals painted in all the elevators. I couldn't wait to get out of there. read more
