Although I did not have the pleasure of staying at this B&B. They processed my refund promptly and assisted in my online booking.

The owners, Doug and Teah were very accommodating and left us chocolates, and fresh flowers in our room.

We really enjoyed our stay at Xanadu Ranch. Great location, beautiful surroundings and a great…read morehost. We stayed in one of the three private rooms. It was small but very comfortable, clean and quiet, with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a TV with streaming services we could sign into. The host provided a couple bottles of water and some snacks, which was a nice touch, and had winery maps available if we needed them. There were also a couple of nice outdoor spaces for guests to hang out. They have a two-bedroom bunkhouse with a nice little front porch and seating, which I'd probably choose next time, especially for a longer stay. Would definitely stay again!

We were the only guest at the time and the quiet was wonderful. The space was clean; the bed was very comfortable; there was full bath and kitchen (fridge had trouble keeping things cold, never got above 45 degrees so take a good ice chest). The kitchen amenities were perfect for making breakfast and a couple of dinners during our 5 night stay. It was nice to have access to a TV but they do need to replace the swivel head which is broken and the TV is at a 45 degree downward angle. We propped it up with a roll of paper towels!! It worked. The outdoor space around the koi pond is so tranquil and pleasant that my husband and I hung out in our PJ and had coffee every morning. At night it was a great place to take in the stunning night skies. If you time it right you get ti watch Karen feed the giant koi Karen was very good at guiding us to the wineries and I can't thank her enough for recommending the Sonoita winery whose MeCaSah wine is truly an award winner. We also went the Vera Earl Beef which sell aged beef..so good. Also of note is the Copper Brothel Brewery where I had the best chicarrones ever and I don't want to leave out The Corner Scoop for the best breakfast burritos. All in all it was so enjoyable and hope to return.

The property itself is OK…read more What is lacking is service. You have to beg for someone to clean the room, because they just don't unless you ask. This isn't any better than Motel 6 but waaay more expensive.

This hotel property itself deserved negative stars for safety, cleanliness and overall maintenance and I cannot recommend it. The condition of this property is truly an embarrassment to the Best Western brand. I wasn't expecting luxury but Best Westerns are always, in my experience, well maintained, clean and reliable. The desk chair in our room is a reflection of the property: still functional but in destroyed condition. There is no pride in the condition. Our bathroom was clean when we check in but dirty clothes from a past guest were under the bed... a clear indication the room had not been vacuumed. The doors to the exterior were equipped with cards to limit access after hours but each door was open. If you have a multi day stay, be warned that they will not clean your room during your stay. You must request that service 3 days ahead of time. If you'd like clean towels you have to go to the front desk which is not staffed 24 hours. So, plan ahead. No toiletries are provided but again, just ask the staff at the front desk and they will be happy to provide. When next in the area I will unfortunately avoid this hotel at all costs and recommend you do the same, until or unless it has been renovated.

Great value in the off season…read more Double bedroom was large and in very nice condition. Most parking slots are under solar cell canopies. Keeps cars cooler Pool and hot tub are very large and nice with trees and umbrellas for shade. Staff was very nice. Included breakfast was good but no pastries or whole fruit. Fruit cups are available and can include yogurt. Omelet station did a nice job. WIFI was poor. Often it would drop away or be very slow. Almost no place to walk to for food or drinks. 10 minute drive does give you some options. 20 minutes is better.

The…read moreroom we were assigned was ground level with a sliding door that opened directly into an active parking lot no barrier, no separation, just cars and people walking directly past with full visibility into the room. Traveling with a toddler, this felt unsafe and completely inappropriate. There was direct access to moving vehicles just steps outside the door and no real sense of privacy. The next morning, we tried to address this at the front desk and were told to contact a manager. We followed instructions, called, left a voicemail, and provided our personal number. No one ever called back. The front desk interaction with Mike was also unprofessional and dismissive, which made the situation worse instead of better. We chose not to stay the remaining nights due to safety concerns and lack of response, yet the hotel still refused to authorize any refund for the unused portion of the stay. This was not the level of care or accountability I would expect from a property that markets itself as a resort.
