Family and kids alike can swim altogether in this pool because of its depth variations. The layout of it is somewhat like a beach type thing ( i don't know how else to explain it..lol) where you start off with ankle depth then it goes on deeper as you go farther in. There are also a lot of lounge chairs and adirondack ones and also a shaded area where you can bring in your food and have a little picnic with your family. Vending machines are also in this shaded area so you can grab your snacks and drinks while you rest from all those pool fun. Lifeguards are very attentive and they surround the whole pool perimeter so that's a plus for me since a lot of kids tend to get rowdy when they're having fun.

( I believe it's available to rent ) Big gym , pool , exercise & weight machines , indoor walking track & , walking paths around big soccer fields . Many classes available & a big senior center with so many activities . My parents used to go Sunday nights maybe in summer to hear the Tucson pops? Orchestra outdoor concerts . The senior center even used to have tours available , parents had fun on a trip to Ruidoso NM group stayed at a casino. Lucky to have this inclusive exercise & activity county center facility . I parked near the rec center in the covered parking area and used my Strava app to show me the paths. None of these paths were marked. My route was a combination of dirt and paved paths, starting from the rec center and walking south along the paved multi-use trail leading to the Pantano Wash. I passed several sports fields. Most of the fields were well irrigated and green. I then turned east on a wide dirt path along the southern boundary. This was the least scenic section because of homeless camps here, accompanied by the trash the people leave behind. I didn't see any one here, so I felt safe enough to continue. The southern section is for BMX and dirt bikes as dirt trails converse in all directions. I walked north on another wide path back to the more developed area and finished off on the walking path that parallels Tanque Verde Blvd. The entire perimeter was 2.16 miles. I did not go inside the rec center since I had my dog with me, but the center seems to have everything an active family enjoys, including a swimming pool and splash pad. The Farmer's Market is Friday mornings on the north side of the park.

The lap lanes have extended farther into the pool area, closing off the deeper end of the pool, and reducing the available areas to only a small shallow section. Very disappointing. It's all good if that's how you want to run your operation, but you are misleading the public with these restrictions. Whoever is overseeing this should provide accurate information outside of the building and online.
