Friendly - They got me right in my room without problem, everything was very well kept, fantastic amenities in the room that you don't see in every hotel (Fridge/microwave (which may seem simple, however you must request this at different hotels)). Not too mention cookies and popcorn at 5pm! Helpful - When asking about general food/drink spots in town, the entire staff was very knowledgeable on all of the above. Was directed to check out mabes pizza and toppling Goliath brewery. Both were fantastic, and I really appreciated the advice! Located in a quaint/quiet area of decorah. There is no coffee maker (just the tea bag type of coffee) and the mini-fridge's door didn't close. The clock wasn't plugged in. They did have cable TV and free wi-fi. The residents there were very informative. We found out that a water main had broken in part of the hotel causing a lot of damage which hadn't been fixed so it was condemned. It is clear that there are several parts of the place that are abandoned. There is so much potential for this hotel if it were fixed up. Stay across the street at the Country Inn and Suites!
