    Breakfast from their restaurant

I had a nice stay here. I purchased self-parking through the Hilton app, wasn't sure what to expect. Parking is in a secure garage under the hotel, it's gated with security cameras. Only way to get in is with your room key. I think it was $28/vehicle per night, which to me was well worth it. Parking in the area was 3-hour parking and I have no idea where public parking was. My check-in experience was "ok". I felt the gentleman was talking to me as if I didn't belong there. It wasn't very welcoming, but maybe he needs better training. The hotel is beautiful! And it's so close to the little stores of old town Scottsdale. My room was beyond what I had expected. I should have taken pictures. The hand soaps and shampoos were very healthy, and smelled good! The breakfast place was only available to guests, but you do have to pay for it. Your access key is needed for the elevator and everywhere in the hotel, which I like. I really would like to know what kind of wood the keys are made of! But this hotel was awesome! I'll definitely be back again to try out their premium suites!

Stayed here a couple nights one weekend a couple weeks ago. A friend was visiting from out of town.i like that they have the outside bar and grill. We definitely took advantage of the service at the pool since we rented a cabana. The weather was wonderful. The service in the hotel was top notch for a basic hotel. Even though the price point did not match up. I wasn't paying so that wasn't my problem but I guess you pay for the area like everything else in Scottsdale. Lol.I wasn't too satisfied with the set up of our room. It wasn't a suite but the bathroom does not provide much for privacy the way it's set up, so that's something to keep in mind if with a group of people. Also to turn on lights in the shower/ toilet area you have to turn on the main light that could disturb others in the middle of the night unless you keep the large barn door shut. Either way you will disturb your guest during night time bathroom breaks unless they are deep sleepers.Overall I gave a 4 because location is perfect, right by some great restaurants in old town. Stk is on the next block. It's one of my favorite steakhouses so that was convenient. You can walk there ;had I known we would have! It was hilarious pulling up in an Uber just steps away from our hotel. I didn't really take any pics of the room or pool area . Wish I had for a better insight.

This is a beautiful and well maintained hotel. Every inch is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The lobby is stunning and provided a great place for my husband to work in the mornings. Our family didn't dine here but we did use the gym and the rooftop pool. All were clean and updated. The location is amazing too-walking distance to so many activities and restaurants. This is such a hidden gem!

My son travels a lot, so he always takes care of booking when he and his family visit. We live in Tucson and decided to meet in Scottsdale for a couple days so we could catch a game and relax. Canopy is a beautiful, boutique hotel in Old Town that make us feel very welcome. My husband and I ended up with a suite and it was very nice. Our room had a party size shower, so if you are inclined to throwing big shower org...er...parties, book a suite, lol. We, however, only used it for showering needs. Our room had a lovely view too. The hotel is within walking distance to many places and right across the street from a museum. You can even rent bicycles at the front desk. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Scottsdale.

Stayed here for our Arizona trip. We chose this location because it's one of the safest parts of the town. Phoenix and Tempe are sketchy areas so we wouldn't want to stay out there! Scottsdale and camelback are nice and safe for tourists. Paradise valley is a nice mountain town but a bit far from city life. This Hilton hotel is very different, it's more like an apartment. No services like valet, bell and room service. Room key card to open garage door to park so it's basically just self service! Not even bottle waters for zero waste reasons?! We get a water jar to take water from the lobby. At least they have Nespresso machine. Our junior suite was very nice with a lot of storages. Also very spacious bathroom with a vanity desk. The bed and pillows were so comfortable to sleep in. On site restaurant for breakfast and dinner, roof top bar opens daily till late night. Happy hour in the lobby serves beer and flatbreads. Although the room was nice but I didn't like the self service part. The reason we stay at hotels is for services! We might as well just stay at an Airbnb for half the price! Ps. The late checkout at 1pm was much appreciated!

Clean and convenient! The rooftop was a bit loud with music in evening, but it didn't carry through to 6th floor room. The pool was small, but nice and loungers were comfortable.

Ask the Community - Canopy by Hilton

The Hilton app says they have complimentary alcoholic tastings. Can anyone elaborate on this?

I don't know about complimentary tastings, but they have a daily happy hour and if you are Hilton Gold or Diamond you get a daily credit that can be used for the rooftop bar or restaurant.

Dying to know if there's any rate available for early check-in?

We are Diamond members, what is included for the breakfast?

We are diamond members, and we were given a $24 credit to use for either the rooftop restaurant or for breakfast.

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

I invited four girlfriends to join me, and each of them booked their own rooms. Unfortunately, after spending four days at the property, I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing luxury hotel experiences I've ever had. The problems started at check-in. The front desk associate barely engaged with me, offered no overview of the property, amenities, or resort experience, and didn't ask whether it was my first visit. When I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday, there wasn't even a simple "Happy Birthday." I was handed a key and what turned out to be a property map, with no explanation whatsoever. My next stop was the concierge desk to inquire about pool cabanas. I was simply told they were sold out. No alternatives were offered, no waitlist was mentioned, and no effort was made to assist. Instead, I was told to look at an outside website myself. At a luxury resort, isn't the concierge's role to help guests find solutions and make arrangements? When I later asked if the resort did anything special for birthday guests, the concierge emailed me a list of items I could purchase. That response perfectly summarized the level of hospitality we experienced. The room itself was another disappointment. It felt outdated and in need of renovation, hardly what one would expect from a luxury property. Ironically, when I later visited the pool and asked an attendant about cabanas, she immediately offered to place me on a waitlist in case of cancellations--an option the concierge never bothered to mention. The following morning, I spoke with a manager, Alley, about my experience. She apologized and offered a $100 food and beverage credit, which I appreciated. However, when I returned to my room, I discovered something far more concerning: one of the pillows had visible mold on it. Since I don't sleep with pillows, I hadn't noticed it the first night. As I looked closer, I found stains on the bedding, pillows, lampshade, and even areas of the room that clearly had not been properly cleaned. Housekeeping came and changed the sheets and pillowcases, but shockingly left behind the actual moldy pillow. At that point, this had moved far beyond a service issue and into a cleanliness and health concern. I reported everything again to management. The additional response was a $50 credit. At this point, the property had failed in virtually every area that defines a luxury hotel: guest service, concierge support, cleanliness, attention to detail, and problem resolution. My friends who booked rooms experienced similar frustrations with both customer service and housekeeping. We ultimately spent much of our time dining at restaurants off property and even rented a cabana at another resort because our experience at The Phoenician was so disappointing. For a stay that cost me over $2,000, offering a total of $150 in credits felt completely out of touch with the severity of the issues. The amount wasn't the problem, it was the lack of accountability and genuine concern. I rarely leave negative reviews, but travelers should know that this property did not deliver anything close to the luxury experience it advertises. Between the poor service, moldy pillow, cleanliness concerns, and overall lack of hospitality, I cannot recommend The Phoenician. I will also be filing a complaint through Marriott Bonvoy regarding my experience. Luxury hotels are defined by service, attention to detail, and how they handle problems when they arise. Unfortunately, The Phoenician failed on all three.

This was a very beautiful hotel, but some areas need improvement. Walking in, you're greeted by staff, bellhops, and staff at the front desk. You can receive assistance to your hotel rooms with your bags, and it's helpful if you're on the 2nd floor since there aren't any elevators. You walk through a beautiful scene of outdoor booths, bonfires, and a pool oasis with palm trees. It's truly a beautiful scene morning, noon, and night. The rooms are also very pretty. We had two queens in a spacious room. While there isn't a dresser, there is a long table that doubles as an office desk. There is shelving in the closet, but that's not the worst condition. There was also a Nespresso coffee bar in our room. We didn't receive any complimentary bottles of water, so I wasn't sure what they expected us to use. I certainly wasn't going to pay for the glass bottles of water, as they charged quite a bit of money. We also found that we weren't always getting our Nespresso pods refilled, and if they did, it was with decaf coffee only. Weird because why would anyone only drink decaf? We had to constantly call to get our coffee station refilled as we prepped for the day. The rooms have a balcony with French doors. Ours was facing the street, but there's a wall separating the resort from the street, which added a nice bit of privacy. Unfortunatly I had to always keep the doors to the patio open when it was 40-50 F degrees because my room was always humid! I would like to preface that I went to The Scott Resort for a BOOK RETREAT. I ended up with some warped books, which I had to work on flattening when I got home. Sometimes I felt the carpets were moist due to the amount of humidity. I wasn't sure if the humidifier was on high, but it wasn't humid outside. The conference rooms were very spacious and nice. The hotel is clean, and the staff is very friendly. I do think they charge a very high amount for food in the room service and the hotel bar. My friend paid $30 for a martini. The Scott was lovely to stay in, although there were some issues. Because of the humidity issue, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless that problem is solved.

We also did some window shopping the night we arrived and then some actual shopping the next morning. They decorate for Christmas and have live music and a bar/restaurant which was very convenient for us as we made our way back to the hotel after dinner for some live music and a nightcap. The staff were all very friendly, and the room remained very quiet even though it was fairly booked. Some key negative takeaways were: They have a handful of parking spaces available at ground level but if you want to ensure you'll have parking, you have to pay for it in addition to your room fee. I believe it was $20. The parking garage is under the hotel with elevator access so pricey but convenient. The room itself wasn't anything super modern or fancy, but it was nice enough.
