GORGEOUS views, amazing spa & fabulous amenities! We had such a great time staying here at the Sanctuary. Scheduled for massages, incredible ambiance, massage therapist were amazing. We had breakfast at the restaurant at the resort and swim and used the wonderful amenities. You will be planning your next trip upon your departure from the Sanctuary!

My husband and I LOVED our stay at Sanctuary! From the moment we arrived the customer service was impeccable! All of the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The only reason I'm giving Sanctuary 4 stars is because of the safety concerns I had. Since all of the beautiful aspects of Sanctuary can be seen online, I chose to post photos of the concerns I had with our room. Paying the amount we paid for 2 nights I would've expected to have more privacy than we did. The outdoor bathtub of room 221 (because I can't speak for other rooms) was easily accessible to those staying next to us or anyone else who may have chosen to walk through. Because of this I wasn't able to fully enjoy it. There also wasn't a privacy curtain by our front door for us to close therefore we had to be sure not to "freely" walk around our room because at night anyone walking by can see into the entire living room. There was a pretty big gap under our door for bugs, small snakes, or even a small camera could slide under. This was unsettling for me. The last thing that I would address is the wiring of the lights. All of the lights were seemed to be on a dimmer and would flicker if they were turned too low without being turned off. It's not a major concern but again, for the amount of money that's being paid, small things such as I've mentioned can really alter one's experience. Fortunately, nothing happened and our safety was never jeopardized. We would stay here again because the customer service of the staff was OUTSTANDING but we would want to try a different room with the tub indoors instead to see if my safety concerns is an isolated issue for room 221. Overall it was a great stay!

Thank you for your care and consideration--especially how there are no smells, like detergents or perfumes. Hallelujah! What a beautiful resort and lovely stay. Your staff are all so sweet and supportive. Next time we'll stay longer!

The view and serenity was amazing. It was so peaceful. I came for brunch on my last day in Scottsdale, my Uber driver recommended it. It's like all the patrons there "understood the assignment" to allow everyone to take in the views...there wasn't a group of patrons that were overtly loud.

Gorgeous sunset view from my room!

With it' stunning mountains, palm trees and ritzy houses, Scottsdale is gorgeous. Bonus points for only being about 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful with a ton of common areas to enjoy the sunset and scenery. It was a little chilly so the number of outdoor fire pits were very much appreciated. I was put in a room in the 17the or 19th building. I got lost a couple of times as it gets quite dark and the property is a bit of a maze. My friends were closer to the entrance. My room was nice but I felt it needed a bit of an update. Unfortunately I didn't receive my member benefits. I think this is a good resort for meeting up with a group or family, though there were plenty of couples while we were there. I didn't pay a ton for our stay which was good because I didn't really consider it a luxury property. A few things to note: the convenience store is only open till 6pm so plan accordingly. This was our fourth consecutive year, and we were eagerly anticipating this trip with high hopes for the Omni Scottsdale experience. While the property itself was beautiful and the restaurants were excellent, the spa was an enormous disappointment. The setting had all the makings of a luxurious retreat, but the spa experience fell far short of expectations. Both the interior jacuzzi and the rooftop spa pool had a visible ring of grime made up of oils and skin residue. When I ran my finger along the edge, a chunk of sticky buildup came off--it encircled the entire tub. What made this especially concerning was that I was the very first spa guest to use the jacuzzi on a Saturday morning at 9 a.m. This clearly wasn't buildup from a busy day; it appeared to be the result of weeks or even months of inadequate cleaning and maintenance. There is simply no excuse for that level of neglect at a resort and spa of this caliber. I reported the issue immediately. To her credit, the general manager was gracious and responsive, ultimately comping two nights of our stay, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the spa manager did not seem to fully grasp how unacceptable and unsanitary the situation was. I was offered 10% off spa services, but after spending more than $600 specifically to enjoy the spa amenities, I found it impossible to relax or enjoy the experience afterward. Overall, it was deeply disappointing and honestly upsetting, especially given how much we look forward to this annual tradition each year.

Service: Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Everyone loved my dog. Room: It's decent, nice but wasn't as luxurious as other properties in the same level. It is a bit weird to have the shower in the middle of the room and an open concept bathroom separated by a curtain. The bed is comfy and place was quiet. Even so the Edit said upgrade possible if available, we did not get an upgrade :(. Boo. Food: Hearth 61 had pretty good food and the Edit gives $90 a day for 2 for breakfast. That is a very generous amount. They serve the food until 2pm (more like brunch) so you can technically can get two meals out of the credit. Credit doesn't all have to be one transaction. Dog amenities: They give you a dog package with a bed, bowl, poo bags, pee pad, and treats. There isn't a designated relief area but there are multiple areas around you can take your dog. There is no grass or turf and it's all rocks. The bad: The room has no fridge and if you want a fridge you have to pay $25 (freezer is $40). We needed one so we decided to use part of our Edit $100 credit to get one. Kinda annoying for a resort room to not have a fridge and if not, why isn't the fridge fee included in the resort fee? Late checkout is at 2pm. When you check out, make sure you ask for an itemized bill. For some reason, the computer took the charges from the $100 credit first and did not apply it to the breakfast credit so we ended up owing $100. However a quick mention to the front desk and they were able to take care of that for us. ALSO, not a hotel thing but I must mention, Paradise Valley has speeding and red lights cameras on Lincoln. They are enforced for BOTH and the speed limit is 40mph. Do not go over or you will get flashed -_-

The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. I invited four girlfriends to join me, and each of them booked their own rooms. Unfortunately, after spending four days at the property, I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing luxury hotel experiences I've ever had. The problems started at check-in. The front desk associate barely engaged with me, offered no overview of the property, amenities, or resort experience, and didn't ask whether it was my first visit. When I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday, there wasn't even a simple "Happy Birthday." I was handed a key and what turned out to be a property map, with no explanation whatsoever. My next stop was the concierge desk to inquire about pool cabanas. I was simply told they were sold out. No alternatives were offered, no waitlist was mentioned, and no effort was made to assist. Instead, I was told to look at an outside website myself. At a luxury resort, isn't the concierge's role to help guests find solutions and make arrangements? When I later asked if the resort did anything special for birthday guests, the concierge emailed me a list of items I could purchase. That response perfectly summarized the level of hospitality we experienced. The room itself was another disappointment. It felt outdated and in need of renovation, hardly what one would expect from a luxury property. Ironically, when I later visited the pool and asked an attendant about cabanas, she immediately offered to place me on a waitlist in case of cancellations--an option the concierge never bothered to mention. The following morning, I spoke with a manager, Alley, about my experience. She apologized and offered a $100 food and beverage credit, which I appreciated. However, when I returned to my room, I discovered something far more concerning: one of the pillows had visible mold on it. Since I don't sleep with pillows, I hadn't noticed it the first night. As I looked closer, I found stains on the bedding, pillows, lampshade, and even areas of the room that clearly had not been properly cleaned. Housekeeping came and changed the sheets and pillowcases, but shockingly left behind the actual moldy pillow. At that point, this had moved far beyond a service issue and into a cleanliness and health concern. I reported everything again to management. The additional response was a $50 credit. At this point, the property had failed in virtually every area that defines a luxury hotel: guest service, concierge support, cleanliness, attention to detail, and problem resolution. My friends who booked rooms experienced similar frustrations with both customer service and housekeeping. We ultimately spent much of our time dining at restaurants off property and even rented a cabana at another resort because our experience at The Phoenician was so disappointing. For a stay that cost me over $2,000, offering a total of $150 in credits felt completely out of touch with the severity of the issues. The amount wasn't the problem, it was the lack of accountability and genuine concern. I rarely leave negative reviews, but travelers should know that this property did not deliver anything close to the luxury experience it advertises. Between the poor service, moldy pillow, cleanliness concerns, and overall lack of hospitality, I cannot recommend The Phoenician. I will also be filing a complaint through Marriott Bonvoy regarding my experience. Luxury hotels are defined by service, attention to detail, and how they handle problems when they arise. Unfortunately, The Phoenician failed on all three.

This was a very beautiful hotel, but some areas need improvement. Walking in, you're greeted by staff, bellhops, and staff at the front desk. You can receive assistance to your hotel rooms with your bags, and it's helpful if you're on the 2nd floor since there aren't any elevators. You walk through a beautiful scene of outdoor booths, bonfires, and a pool oasis with palm trees. It's truly a beautiful scene morning, noon, and night. The rooms are also very pretty. We had two queens in a spacious room. While there isn't a dresser, there is a long table that doubles as an office desk. There is shelving in the closet, but that's not the worst condition. There was also a Nespresso coffee bar in our room. We didn't receive any complimentary bottles of water, so I wasn't sure what they expected us to use. I certainly wasn't going to pay for the glass bottles of water, as they charged quite a bit of money. We also found that we weren't always getting our Nespresso pods refilled, and if they did, it was with decaf coffee only. Weird because why would anyone only drink decaf? We had to constantly call to get our coffee station refilled as we prepped for the day. The rooms have a balcony with French doors. Ours was facing the street, but there's a wall separating the resort from the street, which added a nice bit of privacy. Unfortunatly I had to always keep the doors to the patio open when it was 40-50 F degrees because my room was always humid! I would like to preface that I went to The Scott Resort for a BOOK RETREAT. I ended up with some warped books, which I had to work on flattening when I got home. Sometimes I felt the carpets were moist due to the amount of humidity. I wasn't sure if the humidifier was on high, but it wasn't humid outside. The conference rooms were very spacious and nice. The hotel is clean, and the staff is very friendly. I do think they charge a very high amount for food in the room service and the hotel bar. My friend paid $30 for a martini. The Scott was lovely to stay in, although there were some issues. Because of the humidity issue, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless that problem is solved.
