BUT....We arrived at 10:30 for our 11 o'clock appointment and the gate was closed. Online they said they opened at 9 am so we were worried they cancelled our trip on us. When we called. No one answered. We called again 5 minutes later and some young woman answered with extreme hostility. When we got to the check in, we were instructed by the woman at the front desk (kinda short with blonde short hair in pigtail braids that day) to fill out waivers (very rudely). And when we brought them inside the lodge she took our waivers and asked us to wait outside for our instructors....in 35 degree weather. Moral of the story. Zip lines and tour guides. Great! Management and hospitality. Needs LOTS of training.

The rating system could use a little tinkering imo. There seems to be a big jump in difficultly between some of the colors which was a little disheartening and I was a little offended by the names assigned to the different skill levels when I went. The space here is huge. Good sized bouldering area with no climbing boulder in the middle. This allows you to see the whole climbing area which is different and I'm sure it makes it a great venue for bouldering competitions. There is a really really nice advanced climbing area with a large spray wall and a few techie boards like a Moon board and Kilter board. I wish I had these in my local gym and this is definitely the nicest training area I've seen in any gym so far. There is a decent sized weight training area with free weights. The restrooms are pretty nice as well. Beside the normal restroom things you will also see showers, a changing area, and even a little area made to wash your feet. I didn't get to explore the Ninja area but it did look pretty realistic, challenging and fun. The people who work here are nice and helpful; I regret not spending more time talking to them and gaining some climbing wisdom. All in all this place is catered to upcoming and experienced climbers. A little surprised to see no top or lead climbing with a gym of this size. If I was new at climbing I might find this gym to be a bit challenging.

Winding paths and different levels. The astro turf is in adequate to good condition, holes are fun to play. You probably want to go in the daytime since it looks like a lot of the lights are not working. Keep an eye on kids since there are some pokey sticks and loose masonry. Great old fixtures like the lighthouse and the cottage have been vandalized over the years but you can see how nice they were once. It was $7.50 for kids and seniors. Not crowded, only one other family playing.

The smell is horrendous, at first I just thought ok they need to repair something.. but it's been like this for the past several years now!! Each year it's the same thing! On a windy day, trying to lay out or eat by the wave pool is a consistent smell of sh-t! Another thing is you want to charge the high prices for food, I get it.. but please have some type of management looking after the concessions, more so the people working them! Waiting in line as long as you do is ridiculous! There seems to be extra people working behind the counter but you might only have 1,2 out of 7 actually working, and then the sense of urgency is definitely not there! They need management to manage the employees

The park is also not particularly clean. most mats are dirty and moldy, tubes discolored. water is cloudy & the lazy river is a free for all. Not a lot of veggie food options and the options that exist are egregiously priced. One small cocktail was $26 with tax and tip. An uncrustable sandwich was $12. Eat before and grab some food after !

Then they hit you with a page-long waiver just to play putt-putt. Seriously? It's mini golf, not a high-risk activity. To make it worse, the assistant manager we dealt with was completely unhelpful--refused to provide any contact information for the manager or owners, and acted like the whole situation was somehow our fault. No apology, no accountability, and absolutely no refunds. It feels deceptive, plain and simple. Save your money and go somewhere that actually delivers what it promises.
