Sometimes he doesn't run exactly on schedule, but I understand that doctors run into patients who require some extra care. He has always been willing to answer all my questions and reassure me about various skin conditions. The staff is efficient and friendly as well. My biggest complaint is with the phone system used to schedule appointments and such. It's inefficient, full of static, and very impersonal. Get rid of it!

What is everyone else doing that takes so long!? At any rate, I really appreciated that I could use their text service to make an appointment; I spend a lot of my time in meetings and calls so finding uninterrupted time to make these kinds of requests can be tricky sometimes. Making matters worse was that I was traveling while trying to get an appointment for a spot on my face, making this service wonderful for me. Within seconds I was told that I had a cyst and we not only talked through options for removal, it was done then and there! I had to go back in a week to take out the sutures and that appointment actually took longer than the removal. I also got a call in-between appointments advising the status of the cyst, too, which I appreciated. Really the only issue I had was the intense bruising that occurred on my face that I wasn't warned about--it was so bad I was telling people that I may or may not be in a secret fight club! The nurse at the suture removal appointment seemed surprised by the bruising but didn't speak to it and it wasn't on the post-care sheet I received, either.

Appointment time was very good, under a week from when I called. Staff was friendly. Nurse was attentive. Doctor seemed to be very nice and answered my questions thoroughly. This was for a second opinion because I have been seeing a different dermatologist that I don't always feel I get a straight answer from. He also looked into my file and seen my History. This chemical crapp had caused a posterior cerebral artery stroke and that knowledge was kept from me. The word on the street is: If you'd had an exposure, you can say what the product is, you aren't going to get help no matter how badly off you are. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly cares about her patients. Unfortunately, my experience with the nursing/office staff has been extremely disappointing. Calls routinely go unanswered for weeks, messages are not returned, and I was repeatedly told I would receive updates that never came. The lack of communication and follow-through has been incredibly frustrating, especially when dealing with important medical care. If you're seeing Dr. Vicari, you're in excellent hands. Just be prepared for what may be a very difficult experience communicating with the office staff.

I had a pre-cancerous mole removed by Dr Madeline Schaeffer on a Monday. At 4pm on Tuesday I left a…read moremessage with questions about wound care. I fully expected a call back some time on Wednesday, but did not hear from the nurse until Friday. By then, my questions were moot. I decided to have my stitches removed by an Aurora practitioner instead of returning to Forefront. She cultured my wound & found it infected with Pseudomonas Aeruginosa which is a bacteria highly resistant to antibiotics. Because of the contagious nature of this bacteria, Dr Schaeffer was alerted of my diagnosis. Dr Schaeffer then called me and denied her clinic was the source of the bacteria. She never followed up with me after that call. I'm left to question the initial biopsy results as well. The lab report did not even include cell counts. I highly discourage anyone from seeking care from this location / doctor!
