We tried the assorted bread basket (not complimentary) which had an assortment of tasty breads. We also tried the arancini and the bruschetta. The bruschetta was the real star here and featured three types - pear, tomato, and mushroom. The pear was unique and actually truly delightful. The arancini was decent but nothing too amazing. I had the penne bolognese entree. Very tasty sauce, but the pasta seemed a bit undercooked and had a bit of a chew to it. For dessert we tried the tiramisu. This restaurant is tourist friendly as they have a menu in English for those who cannot read Portuguese. Our waiter came and took our drink orders. We asked about the special that night and the price. The waiter did not know so he left to ask. He eventually returned with our drinks and still did not know the about the special. Fast forward fifteen minutes and finally returns with the details. We ordered the special, rabbit with a savory sauce topped with mashed potatoes, and heart of palm spaghetti with shrimp. A table opened up inside so we were seated inside by the manager (whom happened to speak English). The decor of the restaurant is similar to the hipster style of the United States. The ambiance is relaxed. But maybe a little too relaxed as it took an additional hour for our food to arrive. We had finished our first drinks and ordered another round since the food was taking so long. There was no shortage of waiters so I assume there was an issue in the kitchen. The traditional caipirinha was strong but tasty, and one of the house mixed wine and fruit drinks was very good. Finally our food arrives, and it looks wonderful. Both meals tasted delicious with well portioned sizes. The food was delicious enough for us to forgive most of the slow slow service. Overall, we had a good experience and will come back despite the bad service. I definitely recommend this place to taste some of the finer Brazilian cuisine, but be prepared to spend at least 2+ hours there.

As we enter summer, the weather has been a bit humid, and if you seating in their 'outside' area, it can get a bit stuffy feel , even tho there are fans. Also, i find that depending on who sits near you (i.e. if you get a noisy group), it can be a bit noisy. It is a small space, with an open area seating area. And the food? Top tier. My personal favorite was the Truta Grelhada, perfectly cooked and full of flavor every single time. I also have to shout out Fernando, easily one of the coolest, most genuine waiters I've come across. He really made my birthday experience special and went above and beyond to make it memorable.
