Service was fantastic! They are very kind, warm and welcoming. The Food was fantastic! I had the shrimp egg foo yong lunch special, with chicken fried rice, an egg roll, and an order of crab Rangoon. My mom got the lunch special, vegetable delight with extra garlic, chicken fried rice and an egg roll. BEST CRAB RANGOON I'VE EVER HAD! Portion sizes were very generous; definitely shareable. Bog standard American-Chinese fare. Our group of 3 ordered 2 Orange Beef and a Sweet/Sour Chicken combo dinner. The chicken dinner came with sauce on the side which was welcome. The Orange Beef was disappointing but I need to explain why. At Chinese places that serve Orange Beef it's typically listed as Spicy Orange Beef. The meat is velveted and stir-fried, not breaded and deep fried. Frankly I've never seen the latter until today. And the orange flavor comes strips of pungent orange peel added to the sauce. It often sticks to the velveted beef during stir fry. I love Spicy Orange Beef. And seeing "Orange Beef" on the menu led me to believe that on this pro-forma AmChinese menu this might be their one dish that breaks the mold. I was wrong. It was breaded & deep fried, which really does not work on beef. Sauce wasn't spicy at all even though the lady who took the order said it was "medium". Didn't really bother me since the dish wasn't what I was hoping for in the first place. But you should know. Everyone needs a favorite standard AmChinese place. This one is 15 minutes away so we'll continue to work thru closer shops. I don't think there is a single AmChinese place in the Flint metro area that velvets any of their proteins. read more

Best take out we've had in years. Ordered sesame honey chicken and moo goo gaipan. Only took 10 minutes and it was awesome. We wanted to eat in but they only do take out prob since pandemic. Anyway. My date is a regular here, and it's by far his favorite chinese food place around. He's constantly bragging about how awesome it is here, so we went so I could check it out. Walking in, the place is huge for a chinese restaurant (not all are) and very clean. We were seated immediately and were given menus to review. The place has a lot to offer food wise, which was impressive. I decided to go with the sweet and sour chicken combo since I wasn't feeling very experimental this time around and stuck with what I know. I can't remember what my date got, but our portions were huge. I mean like I barely made a dent in it and walked away full. Same goes for my date. You could easily get two extra meals out of the leftovers, even for the hugriest of men. The only reason I docked a star is that the chicken fried rice tasted like it was heavily doused in soy sauce. I picked at it, and it wasn't the best I ever had. Maybe this is a fluke, or a one time thing, but I didn't like the way the rice tasted. If they put less soy sauce in it and made it fluffier, I would probably be much happier. The service here is great, and our server was friendly and helpful. She was constantly checking up on us and making sure we were okay. I will probably return here in the future and I enjoyed my whole experience. read more

Oh my goodness!!! Sooo sooo good! Ordered for three people, Mongolian Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Szechuan Chicken and Vegetable Fried Rice. These were combination meals, came with egg rolls and soup. The to go boxes, the usual styrofoam trays, were packed full of food!! Couldn't have put anymore in the containers if they had tried. The chucks of chicken on the Sweet and Sour Chicken were more like strips of chicken tenders. The Mongolian Chicken was a good balance between chicken and vegetables. The Szechuan Chicken and vegetable fried rice, so worth the up charge, just recently learned to order vegetable fried rice and will never go back to chicken fried rice. Just try it! The Szechuan chicken was perfectly spicy enough without losing its flavor and ooooh so good!! If you are within 30 minutes of this place, I highly recommend driving in for it. But be forewarned, sadly it is pick up only, no seating and eating in. Still worth it! read more

Food here is usually always delicious and filling but not always hot. Service is quick and nice and the it's a little hole in the wall place inside. So i've been searching flint for chinese food that lives up to my fav chinese place in birch run. After 8 chinese places i have found it! The chicken was perfect not chewy at all. The rice was fantastic and little heavy on the soy sauce but it wasn't ruined. The crab cheese was phenomenal alongside the sauce that came with it. The egg roll was very large. We wish we had a better review, and a year ago it would have been. Unfortunately the quality, and the health and safety, has diminished since the first time we went. We order almost every week for our Chinese food needs, every week the food has gotten saltier and blander, and the upset stomach that has come with dinner has gotten so bad that we will not be ordering again. Their way of handling that is to give us more food, no thanks. Our toddlers 3 & 4 and my husband and I have been sick for almost 4 days now. Thankfully it was only nausea and diarrhea for me and the kids only had loose poop and tummy aches. Same for my husband. The kids only ate chicken. So we think that is the culprit. As it's closer to the University, Hong Da has usually received my money, but the rumored Health Department shut down a while back and the taste of the food after the the shut down left me looking for some place good. Based upon reviews, I decided to try Canton Chinese Restaurant and was not disappointed at all. I got the combo meal to go and it seemed like a pretty good value for money. The food was hot and was very tasty. I placed my order and waited maybe 5 minutes and it was done. This was also with 2 people in front of me in line. I am anxious to go and sit down and have a meal to see if the portions are even larger...plus it's good. :) The prices were comparable to Hong Da. I will definitely be returning. read more
