The noodles still had a little bite to them which was nice, the vegetables were crunchy, steak was cut very thin but flavorless, the chicken had a nice crispy edge I do like it charred but it was charred too much and it was dry and stringy. Teriyaki has a nice flavor although it's quite thin like soy sauce. Pools in the bottom of your bowl. So don't keep adding more like I did it's in there it's just not on your food it's in the bottom of the bowl. The chili Sriracha was really where it was added had great flavor and stuck to your noodles good that's what the red stuff is in my photos. The potstickers are pretty decent and the crab rangoon needs more crab but has a nice flavor and is crunchy. There's plenty of seating, everything was very clean (they were wiping things down as we sat there), there's lots of parking and it's centrally located on Miller road to other things and there's music going if you like hip hop .....so the ambiance is in the eye of the beholder. Service was quick although she never did smile and I could barely hear her when she talked but the woman who was making the bowls in the back had more personality. My biggest gripe is the prices are extremely high for what you get. We paid $60 for three people that's a nice sit-down meal at Applebee's. What I will add though is you get plenty of food so we were able to eat on our bowls twice so you're really getting two meals. All in all it was nothing special but nothing to complain about either just a chain type experience.

You won't find the Americanized dishes like General Cao's chicken, but you will find one of the best presented but also deliciously tasted Peking duck - one of the most recognizable and celebrated Chinese dishes. I also love that they serve many dishes in porcelain chafing dishes to keep food warm, as foods taste better when they are kept warm. My personal favorites: lobster steamed with egg, eggplant and string bean stir fry and happy family soup. The desserts are great too. Check out photos for more. Ambiance: This is the standout among Chinese restaurants in Michigan. Many Chinese restaurants are out-dated. It is like you step into restaurants in China in 1990s. This gives you a more current fine-dining experience atmosphere. The large video screen in the main dining room also allows you to customize the image or video for your occasion, should you choose to celebrate a special event there. Service: It is not top notch, but it is get job done. The servers are friendly. Noteworthy: There are two floors. You may not know there is a large 14 seats private dining room downstairs with large TV screen. Great for private celebration. There is an elevator that you can use for those who don't want to climb stairs. The 8-seat Majiang themed room is beautifully designed. There are also two small dining rooms perfectly for an intimate gathering. Final verdict: after visiting more than 10 times, this is a review long overdue! In my book this is the best Chinese fine dining experience in town. It caters to various your dining needs: dating, business meal, private events or just for some fine food!

The menu has something for everyone, whether you're very familiar with traditional Chinese food or just starting to explore beyond the usual takeout staples. It feels elevated without being intimidating, which is not always easy to pull off. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with several private rooms for different types of gatherings. The drinks are excellent too, so it's not just a dinner destination -- it's a full evening kind of place. It can get busy in the evenings and on weekends, but that makes sense. Shiangmi is elegant, welcoming, and absolutely worth knowing about.

I was welcomed by a nice lady at the register who took my order. She helped me with a couple of questions I had because I wanted to try something new but also wanted to get one of the Mozzarella Corn Dogs. I ordered a couple of tacos this time. Both were on the spicy side but not a lingering, hot spicy...just a quick "bite back" spicy, if you know what I mean. One was a Spicy Pork and the other was Chicken Teriyaki but both had a similar amount of spice. Might have been the sauce used. Hubby ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box. It was really good as well. I like this location as it's closer to me than Troy but both have great service and food.

I grabbed a menu and began my search for my fated dish. Having always been a fan of teriyaki chicken, that's what I went ahead and ordered. The staff, in the little interaction I had was friendly and the food came out promptly. Unlike some teriyaki chicken, this was thankfully not fatty and made for a pleasant dining experience. The avocado was fresh, and the bottled sauces that were included offered incredible flavor! I would say, from the meal, my favorite dishes were the chicken itself the kimchi (which was extra) and the noodles pictured in the bottom right (which I do not know their name). They were cold, which I believe is how they are served but they were really good and meaty! The kimchi was delicious and paired SO well with the dish! My only complaints were with the rice and the drinks. I was not really a fan of the texture of the rice and the soda was a bit flat. Overall I would rate Kimchi box a 4/5. A charming and clean establishment in its own right and I would gladly go back, especially to have some revitalizing food on a cool rainy day!

I got the classic tonkotsu ramen and it was really good! The broth was flavorful and complex, the pork was tender, and the egg perfectly jammy. Apparently they make their noodles fresh everyday. The price of a ramen bowl was on par with what I'm used to (~$20 with tax + tip) but the sushi seemed a little pricey. I will have to come back to try it.
