We moved here from Texas and no one stocked the feed we used. Ronnie ordered it for us and has kept in stock. He also provided great advice getting us started in gardening and with raising chickens. They also sell local eggs and honey.

They have a whole bunch of stuff, from beds (not in the market) to recliners (still debating on) and couches (didn't know I was potentially in the market until this afternoon)...and, of course, the dining room sets including chairs I was looking for. Price was fair (not quite FB marketplace/NextDoor/CL cheap, but cheap), and then add same-day delivery and fantastic service make this place a great place to look for your furniture needs.

My husband and I bought a sight unseen mountain property in Western NC. If that's not daring enough we then hired (all the way from Miami) a local guy, someone named Kevin Silver of K.B. Silver Construction, with zero reference, just on a hunch that his honest voice and warm demeanor provided us. THE BEST DECISION EVER! Kevin remodeled our manufactured home entirely, walls, ceiling, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, doors, baseboard, crown molding, roof, decks and transform it into our dreamed home. We knew exactly what we wanted done but were not sure we would be fully understood. We wanted to change the entire inside and outside look of a manufactured home into a regular build on-site house. We explained our idea, showed him some pictures and Kevin capture our idea 100%. The house came out beautiful and all the wood details we wanted made this remodeling incredibly gorgeous. All this took place while we were living in Miami, FL and would just go up once a month or so to see the progress but he constantly kept us informed. We highly recommend Kevin for his expertise, reliability, trustworthiness and just all around great guy.

The designer wasn't there but their business card was so I grabbed it. It was a women's XL shirt so I thought it would be too small. Actually it was the size of a men's triple XL. I guess will have to order one my size. Other shirts I saw there (different designer though) were "Heifer Please" and "The Confederate States of America - Love it or Leave it" (bravest losers of all time)... oh and the Jeep ones that say "Boobie Bouncer." They also had a section that printed older style shirts, like the "In Loving Memory" ones or the heart ones with you and your lover's name. I remember at the fair seeing these type of shirts all the time in the 80's but very rarely anymore. I've missed them. I wanted to get one but it was overwhelming with all of the choices. Also at the flea market was this device kids could attach to their bike and then add chalk to it so they can draw things as they ride or if you want your kid to ride over to the neighbors and write "suck it" in their driveway... Saw a handwritten sign that said "free smells," and later realized they were selling candles or something but at first wasn't sure if I wanted to sniff or not... it was candles so I opted out...

The listed address shows as in the center of Clayton. It's not - the market is north of town. Lot of stuff including both new and used. If you're looking for old cast iron cookware, they've got it. Easy parking on the left side of the building as you come off the highway. The entrance is on the left side, too. Although it was closed at the time we were there, the Wicked Pig BBQ restaurant is located in the back of the market. You can access it either from outside the building or from inside the market.

Yes, some things are "I know what I got" ridiculous pricing, but if you search, there are actually some wonderful antique finds and collectibles at fair, honest pricing. I'm a bibliophile and have found some beautiful leatherbound hardback books here, as well as a bell creamer from the UK, and a hat from a famous New Orleans milliner. But every time we're at our Maggie Valley property, it's seemingly closed.

My next project was to rebuild an antique corner cabinet and I found some old shelving at Big Red Barn that was perfect for the project. We have purchased a new home in Maggie Valley and Terry purchased a table and chairs that we no longer wanted. He gave me a fair price for the items and we both made out on the deal. I like to refurbish antiques and collectibles so the place really fits the bill for me. I have also rented a U haul from there and the service was excellent. My kind of place.
