I took a total of 4 lessons with Cantor Driving School. Because of work, I could only schedule on weekends. I had 1 class with Shannon P. on Saturday, 2 classes with Tharendra S. on Sunday, and my last class with Steven L. on the same day I took my DMV driving test. Huge thanks to all of my instructors and to the representatives at Cantor for making the whole process so smooth. Booking lessons and scheduling the DMV test was super easy. The representative was always available by text--honestly, it felt like they were there 24/7, which was awesome. Tharendra S. was amazing at teaching me the basics of driving. I had never driven before, but from the very first lesson he made me feel at ease and gave me great tips. We drove around my neighborhood multiple times as practice. Shannon P. was also fantastic. On my second day, she went into more technical details--turning, parking, and what the DMV looks for. I told her my goal was to drive to and from work, so she even had me practice that exact route. She went out of her way to write down the areas I needed to improve on, which I really appreciated. On the third day, I was back with Tharendra, and he helped me polish everything--driving around the DMV area, practicing reverse, parking, U-turns, and even going on the freeway. I had such a great time learning with him. Then on my fourth day (the actual DMV test day), I had Steven L. I was super nervous, but he reassured me with his words: "You either win or learn." Before the test, he drove me around the area, gave me final pointers, and reminded me about little but important things like checking mirrors when signaling and maintaining the right speed (since DMV marks you if you're off by more than 5 mph). In the end--I passed my driving test and got my license! ^_^ I want to thank everyone at Cantor--both the amazing reps behind the scenes and my three instructors. They truly want you to succeed and give you all the tools to pass. I don't usually write long reviews, but after this journey, I had to give them a full 5/5 stars. My son was really nervous to start his driving lessons. My wife and I were hoping my son would get an instructor that would make him feel comfortable and be able to teach him for the two hour lessons he would have. The instructor he picked on their website was lyssett castellanos. When she arrived for the first lesson she introduced herself and told us what she was going to teach him. She also asked us if there were certain areas he was struggling to learn. When my son left for his lesson we felt really comfortable because we knew he would be in good hands. My son came back and said that he learned so much and that lysset was very nice and made him feel comfortable, he also said she was very funny. After each lesson lysset will let us know what areas he needed help in and what he did well. I'm so glad we chosed this driving school and lysset as his instructor. I just finished my final driving lesson with Christy (my precious driving tests with Shannon) and both driving instructors were absolute AMAZING. As an adult driver I found this company to be super flexible with my schedule and the driving lessons were well worth the very reasonable pricing. After their lessons and instructions, I'm super comfortable with my driving skills and they taught me so much both formal and informal skills of how to ace the behind the wheel test. Their cars were also very clean and in great conditions. Also Frank was the best. During the beginning of the Covid shutdown he helped me through the DMV process and secured my final driving tests that had to be postponed until recently. Cantors was the first thing that came up when I was searching on the internet. The ease with which I was able to plan my classes astounded me greatly. I paid for three lessons totaling six hours behind the wheel, and my instructor was just wonderful. Lysset was extremely patient and considerate of my situation. All three of my classes were enjoyable for me. She goes over the information thoroughly and asks you to put it into practice while driving. She offered me a lot of advice and told me to keep practicing and SMOG all the time. Anyone looking for a driving school for their teen should definitely consider Cantors Driving. I 100% recommend Cantor's Driving School. My instructor was Lyssett Castellanos. As a new driver Lyssett was very patient and gave great recommendations/advice that I was able to apply while encountering various situations on the road. I learned practical tips that I believe helped improve my driving abilities. She definitely increased my confidence when being behind the wheel. My instructor Carl was very patient, took the time to explain how to do things correct with visual aspects as well as made me feel comfortable with driving the vehicle.
