This review is long overdue. I am very picky when it comes to the saftey and well-being of my children. So, if you are looking for a daycare, look no further. We have been to different daycares in the past and there is just no comparison. Other places I've been to are ran like businesses with no personal touch just 9 to 5 workers who honestly didn't care about my kids. Teddy's Daycare has been extremely consistent. The staff here, Ms. Iris and Mr. Daniel, are so loving that in a short time they become family. They communicate with me CONSTANTLY. Allowing me to know the progress of my children, from learning their A B C's, to how they socialize with other kids, to the goofy things that they do. Even while I'm at work they have an app where they upload pictures and videos so you know how their day is going. They are extremely personal and provide attentive care in an active learning environment. From gardening, to petting zoos, to water play during the hot summer days, options for music lessons, the list is endless. They even provide a "Date Night" for the parents where they watch your kids...for FREE so my wife and I can enjoy a nice dinner or movie with just the 2 of us every once in awhile. I mean, what daycare does that? We just had our 3rd child and we are looking forward to the day he will become a member of Teddy's Daycare family. I love Mrs. Iris and Mr. Daniel. I don't have to worry when my daughter are with them. They are amazing. My daughter has fun when she's there. They have various fun activities. They use an app and takes photos of the kids so you can see what they are up to for the day. Their business hours accommodates various work schedules. It's hard to find a daycare that is open early and stays open later than 6pm. They do pick up from Quail Valley School which totally helps us out as mine and my husband's work schedule conflicts with dismissal time. I couldn't have asked for a better daycare!! Our son has been there almost 2 years and he is thriving!! When your kiddo doesn't want to go home because they're having so much fun with their friends, you know you're in the right place. He is learning so much and we just love the little art projects that are sent home. Mrs Iris plans the best projects and Mr Daniel is quite the entertainer! The kids love them both! Horrible communication from beginning to end. Sketchy staff. Inappropriate husband whom was always there watching the kids alone - He looked high most of the time and one of the days he had on a marijuana shirt. I rarely saw Rebecca/Iris with the kids, she was always "out" doing something for her own children instead of tending to the children in her business although she said during our tour that she's there all day everyday with the kids. read more

It's been a year since I've taken my now 2 year old daughter to Iris and I'm so lucky I found her! I shopped around to at least 10 other local daycares, met with Iris twice with my whole family before making the decision (this is how anal I am about where my kids stay). What the deciding factor was for me was that she is serious in complying with all daycare requirements and doesn't cut corners. She also is with the food program and offers the children a healthy and large variety of foods. Things I particularly love about this daycare: - The food selection. - They use an app and post pictures and updates throughout the day so you can see what the kiddos are doing. - The activities they offer on the daily; they are always changing and are exciting and very involved. - The house is very family-oriented and I feel like my child is literally a part of their family, as they treat the kids as such. - The house is a musical house, as the husband is a musician- the kids are literally spoiled with these live music sessions. - They have weekly outings and are in the sun; they're always switching it up and keeping it interesting. - They have learning time throughout the day. My child has picked up on talking and just her motor skills and I know it's with the help of this daycare. She absolutely loves the family and is happy to go here. They're truly wonderful people. You can tell that the kids are happy to be at Teddy the Bear Daycare and I've always felt confident in entrusting them with my child(ren). read more

Ms. Iris and Mr. Daniel are the most kind-hearted, loving, and trustworthy people I know. They both genuinely care and have a big heart! My daughter started piano when she was 9 years old, but her teacher was so strict and only played one genre. A friend recommended Mr. Daniel and my daughter have been exposed to all kinds of piano genres! As an elementary teacher, my goal is to always make learning fun, and that is exactly what Mr. Daniel does! I truly appreciate how Mr. Daniel does not put too much pressure on my daughter and allows her to just enjoy the music, but also holds her accountable with homework. Next month will be a year since I enrolled my (now) 1-year-old daughter with Teddy the Bear Daycare; she began when she was only 3 months old. I feel beyond blessed to have found Iris. My daughter is in daycare five days a week, from 830 - 530 and I feel 100% comfortable with the attention and care she is receiving. I receive pictures and videos regularly throughout the day and upon pick-up, I'm informed of her nap time(s)/duration and what she ate for the day. My daughter ADORES Iris, her husband, and their kids. They all create a welcoming and fun environment. It must be stated that Iris is patient, kind, and accommodating. It is evident that the kids attending all have a special relationship/connection with Iris. The neighborhood is gated and very safe. The home is clean and the daycare area is a child's paradise with the amount/variety of books and toys. As her husband is a professional musician, it isn't uncommon for the kids to be treated to a live music session, where they are given an opportunity to join in. My daughter LOVES music and I know these little jam sessions have contributed immensely. While my daughter is only now transitioning to non-baby food, I have seen the breakfasts and lunches prepared for the older children, and wow, is all I can say! Always nutritious and looks delicious. Also worth noting, my daughter has not had one single diaper rash her entire life. As much as I would love to take the credit, I have to share the success with Teddy the Bear Daycare, since she spends more time there more M-F. I can probably go on and on (and on), but one more thing is how creative Iris is and how she goes out of her way to create a truly magical space for the kids. From holiday-themed photoshoots (I think some of the pictures are in the yelp photos) and cute little parties, the kids attending are having a great time! I'm so happy that this daycare relocated to Menifee, and right on time for me to enroll my daughter. read more

Ms. Iris and Mr. Daniel are the best you can find in menifee. My son is 100% Covid baby and wasn't that great with socializing with kids. He was always sad when I'd drop him off but Iris and Daniel were so patient with him and always made sure he was ok. I love that they always updated me through the day with photos of what he was doing because it reassured me that he was in good hands. We ended up having to move but if i could, I would've packed them up with me as well. It's so hard to find someone who you know will love your kids like they're your own and Iris and Daniel did just that. read more

I love this daycare. I had a few in mind - Stepping Stones in La Palma, Waldorf School in Long Beach - but didn't even check those out because as soon as I stepped inside I felt it was the right one. I wanted a nurturing environment for my son and I found it here. There is only a max of 8 kids and they were, at the time, all under the age of four. Two are Ms. Iris' own, so only six kids max from other families. With an add'l worker, Ms. Diana, the kids got a lot of attention - a max of four kids per worker. Ms. Diana is great with kids too. I didnt have to worry about my kid being lost in the shuffle or bullied by other kids. They write out daily reports for you on how your kid was in daycare that day, which I found helpful. Also there was no addl charge for potty training. I love this place -there is a play structure, plenty of outdoor toys & equipment. Inside there are also toys of course and the place is clean. My 4-year old is at Teddy the Bear all day and my other two, 6 and 9 are there after school. The one daycare my kids go to willingly. I don't have to deal with goodbye tears everyday or the dreaded "mommy do I have to go?" because they all love Miss Iris. Mrs. Iris and Mr. Daniel take great care of our boys, ages 5 and 2. If you are looking for an in-home daycare for your children, check this one out! We love getting pictures of the boys throughout the day. They are always playing, going on golf cart rides, eating yummy food, and even taking naps (which they never do at home for us!!) The owners live in a beautiful home in a gated community. We always feel safe leaving the boys and know they will be taken care of! read more

SUPER-DUPER DAYCARE!!!! I have two daughters at Teddy the Bear, aged 1 1/2 and 3. They have been at this daycare for five weeks now and they are soooo happy...they hardly want to come home at the end of the day! I have been pleased since our first few drop-in visits, even before we signed up, but I wanted to wait until we had a solid month under our belts to write a review. The care provided by the daycare director and staff has been excellent, my girls are happy and clean and eager to come back the next day. There has been absolutely no sign of diaper rash in my youngest and lots of great help potty training my older girl. High quality, healthy food choices, great learning activities, cleanliness, and communication...I really couldn't ask for more but they certainly deliver more... There is a structured kindergarten readiness program for the mornings and my little ones are responding so well! They love to sing and dance and craft and be read to...they have blossomed so much in such a short time and in a very loving environment! I highly recommend this daycare to anyone..but as a testament to how happy I am with the care they provide, I have recommended it to family and close friends as well! read more

When asked what the hardest part about being a new mom, my response is not so much the lack of sleep or the postpartum aches and pains. For me, the hardest part about being a mom is having to leave my child in the care of someone else. We were new to the area and came across the daycare on the city website. We stopped by for a tour the next day and the rest is history. Our son was 5 months old when he started full time in the infant program. He just celebrated his 1st birthday and is spending the majority of his day with the other toddlers in the classroom. Drop offs never get any easier but the best part of my work day is getting a text with the details of his day. As a working mom, 12 hour plus days are hard so these updates by text give me comfort and peace of mind. I love hearing about his day, what he ate...if he napped and how he's interacting with the other children. I love coming home to art projects and hanging them all on the fridge. Picture and video messages especially make my day. The caregivers at Teddy the Bear are genuine and take good care of my son. Hello, my name is Heba and i have a 2 year old son who is enrolled in this day care and this is the best day care I have ever seen. My experience with Ms. Iris the owner of this day care is phenomenal. She is a marvelous lady and very caring, the child's care and health is a priority for her. She takes care of every child as if he/she is her own. She serves healthy food, she educates the kids, and has different activities everyday. The kids learn something new everyday. she also keeps the parents up to date by her childcare app with new photos and comments every hour. When we moved this area early in this year, we feel so fortunate to have found this daycare for my 2 years old son Alexander. My son really is attached to Ian and Evelyn and especially Iris, when I can see he enjoys being held by them and he give them lots of hugs. They are a team of caregivers that I feel I can trust and not have to worry when I'm at work. My Alexander often is reluctant to go home when I pick him up and surprised me what new things he can now say and do, and is a reflection of how well she runs her daycare and all the love they give to my child as well. I especially like the management here because the environment provided, which one was something important to me and my husband, is a homey and classroom environment combined. We want our son care for with lots of love and also be prepared for Pre-K or Kindergarten, and this daycare already has an emphasis on this from the beginning. Some of the things I really love about this daycare and for these reasons I would highly recommend this daycare to all my family and friends: - I love how they have activity time for arts and crafts and music and story time - Iris/Ian/Evelyn are also teachers that show lots of love and teaches my son every day - I love the daily text and photos and other updates from Iris, letting me know how my son is doing - I love that they make healthy meals and help them eat if they needed some assistance. - I love how they make you feel right at home and we feel like this is our second home, because we spend so much time here and we leave late just chatting...and my son refuses to leave sometimes. Everyone is warm and friendly. - I love that Iris calls me immediately when my son is not feeling well, and follow guidelines when children can return with a doctors note, this protects the other kids from getting sick. - I love that they would pay special attention to any child if needed. My son wasn't having a great appetite due to teething and Iris made something my son would eat for lunch. - I love the texting and responsiveness...etc, etc. We enjoy taking home my son's artwork and handcraft materials from their classroom time. We try to find a good daycare can take care my baby, because she have eczema, we ask so many place they don't even know how to take care this issue, finally we find teddy bear daycare on Facebook, they told us they know how to do it, so we drop our daughter when she 5months old, OmG, Tedder bear daycare is my life saver, they apply several times lotion a day, after few month the eczema are gone. And they are very nice and friendly, they teach kids sing and dance everyday, and also they did potty training in advance; now my daughter 20 months, she already told me: mommy I need go potty. I want thank you (Tedder bear daycare) work with my daughter she very like go to the daycare don't want go back to home. I don't know where to begin. This place is Awesome!!!! My Wife and I were scrambling to find a daycare for our 2 year old son after a change in my work schedule. I found Teddy the Bear Daycare on yelp, and seen that it was the only daycare that had a 5 Star rating. I called the number shown and spoke to Miss Iris, who is the owner of Teddy the Bear Daycare. Miss Iris was super nice and informative and explained in detail on what my child would be doing, when he would be eating ( They serve Breakfast,lunch and snacks) when he would be playing etc. We set up a date and took a tour and immediately fell in love with the set up of the Daycare. Miss Iris has not only opened up her private home to facilitate parents day care needs, but also has turned her home into a Pre-school type atmosphere where my son definitely enjoyed himself. They Not only watch and care for the kids (obviously) but they also participate in several fun activities throughout the day from Singing and dancing, to arts and crafts, to playing inside and outside, and the biggest challenge of all NAP TIME. Miss Iris is a mother herself and definitely treats all the kids as if they were her own. Miss Iris has the most amazing Teachers/helpers (Miss Sam and Miss Casey) who genuinely love what they do. My son learned new things his first few weeks attending Teddy the Bear Daycare. He napped during the day (Still don't know how they managed that) he started eating food he has never ate before (Kid lovesssss pizza now). They also use this really cool app that let's you see pictures and videos of your child throughout the day as well as follow their progress during the day and the week. It was with a heavy heart that we had to take our child out of Teddy the Bear (Temporarily) but best believe we will continue to use Teddy the Bear Daycare in the future and recommend it to anyone who is looking for Daycare services. read more

I absolutely love this daycare!!! I was in a rush to find a good daycare for my son, went to check out so many around the area and none of them were up to my standards. Then I found them on yelp and was so glad that i did! I came by without an appointment and they were kind enough to see me. They explained everything and let me take a tour. The daycare is so clean, organized, cozy and so much more! The owner Iris and evelyn are so amazing at what they do and are so friendly and welcoming. They have kids also so they know how it is, they give that motherly love and protection to all the children they care for. I also love the app they have that let's you see your child while your at work, school etc... It shows pictures, and updates about how they're doing. My son's first day was hard because it was his first time at a daycare and away from me but they put my mind at ease by updating me and sending pictures. Where do I begin? Ms. Iris and Ms.Joanna are amazing. My son attends this daycare. He has been here almost a year. When I first brought him I informed Iris the owner that he was quiet, didn't talk much, was in a furious temper tantrum stage and had a hard time listening. He always had been great at home but very difficult at school. I had gone through numerous daycares all which had "thrown in the towel" they just couldn't give him the attention he needed. Iris assured me this was normal and he just needed someone to give him the "time and patience". Here we are one year later and WOW!!! my son not only talks up a storm, he has learned his ABC, Numbers, Songs, Days, Months and even Math. Iris has a great curriculum and even has Parent Teacher conferences to go over your child's progress. Her goal is to get these kids ready for school. My son loves coming here and listens so well. I don't know how Iris and her staff did it but I am so glad we found Teddy the bear Daycare, he continues to thrive and will be 100 percent prepared and ready for Kindergarten!! read more

Today is my 18 month old daughters first day at this daycare and I already feel like I need to leave a 5 star review. I was in a rush to find care for my daughter as my previous day care provider had to cancel last minute. Feeling very rushed and worried I hopped on Yelp to look at local day cares. When I saw the reviews I had to call Iris the owner and get more information. After talking with her on the phone for about a half hour (lol) I already had a great feeling about her and scheduled a tour. When we arrived we were very warm welcomed and my daughter walked right in and felt right at home. Let me just say that Iris and her team really know what they're doing. I could tell from the start that they all genuinely love what they do and live to care for children. Not only are they state licensed Iris has transformed her home into a day care with a preschool like atmosphere, but it also has a very homey feel. My daughter has been there for 5 hours and I've already gotten 5-10 pictures and updates on how she is doing via a great app that they offer that shows me everything she's doing and how's she's doing with it through out her day. If I ever have any doubt as to what she is doing or how she is doing Iris has a full security camera system that I can view at anytime. The way that these women are so detail oriented and focused solely on making my child and myself feel at home and comfortable is so relieving. I'm a very protective (maybe even over bearing) mother and I have no doubts that my daughter is in great hands here.
