First, I…read moreexplained to the aesthetician that my eyelash tint only lasted a few days the last time to which she responded that it must be bc of using oil based makeup remover (she didn't tell me to change anything or keep from any certain products before & I don't use oil based makeup remover). Then upon putting the lash tint on, I told her that it burned and felt as if something was in my eye. She handed me a fan and said that I "blinked too much" & to keep the fan on. I said a few minutes later that it was burning both eyes and that I was concerned. My eyes were watering at this point. She responded "just 3 more minutes". I then told her that something was wrong and I needed it off my eyes bc the pain was unbearable. She finally removed the dye. When I was able to open my eyes, it was clear that something was wrong. My contacts were completely brown. There was dye in both eye. I was again told that it was bc I blinked & then that it was bc of contact lenses. She took NO accountability. She DID NOT even apologize. I explained to her that it was dangerous bc I had to drive home without my contacts & she responded "this is not a new service, it happens sometimes with lenses". This experience costed me $50. My eyelashes were NOT completely tinted, my eye brows were threaded but only half way tinted. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NOT RETURN.

Two employees stood and watched ten feet away as I was searching for a specific product. Despite multiple employees standing around, not one employee uttered a syllable to me during my time in the store. In the end I was happy to walk out of the store empty handed.

I've been here for several different services (never hair), and have never had a bad experience. In fact, once I just popped in to buy a gift certificate, and while I was waiting for the cashier to put it together, some spa employees were having a personal conversation near the front reception, and the cashier asked them to take their conversation somewhere else. She wasn't rude and the employees understood and moved on, and I thought that this gesture demonstrated that this salon is about the CLIENT. And it truly is. I think one of the things I really like about Caracalla is that it is spacious enough for all the services to have their own areas, that feel roomy, private, quiet, etc., as appropriate. You are not thrust on top of anyone else and you have all the attention of your professional. They give you all relevant information and really focus on you and take care of you. You cannot put your tip on your credit card, though, and you tip the employees directly in envelopes at the front with checks or cash, so be prepared for that. What will keep me coming back to Caracalla is how friendly and warm the people are there, even though they offer luxurious treatments and high quality services. I've been wearing eyelash extensions for years and I'm used to having them done professionally. I'm…read morefrom out of state and I needed a fill. I came to them in person to make my appointment as I wanted to make sure it was a high end salon. They assured me that they would do a good job. So I made an appointment with them #1 - I began to be concerned when the gal started putting them on way faster than I'd ever experienced. #2 - When I opened my eyes at the end my eyes were burning from the glue. # 3 - My left eye in the inner corner was irritating me and when I looked closer I realized she did not taper do the length. The corner lash was so long it was hitting the top above my eye lid #4 - When I got home I looked at them in my magnifying mirror and realized the individual lashes were not curling up in a natural fashion. They were going different directions. #5 - I tried to brush them to get them going up and curl but the brush snagged in the excessive glue. There was no way for me to separate the lashes that she had stuck together. I went back to them and told her my issues and needed to have them removed because I was ripping out my natural lashes every time I brushed them out. She told me she had never had that happen to her before, she blamed the glue. I've got enough experience with extensions to know that it was the way she applied them. She said she was not able to take them off that day but could do so another day. I ended up not even going back for the removal appointment as I lost all confidence in her.

The entire vibe was casual and friendly and so light-hearted. What a thought was going to be a super weird uncomfortable experience turned out to be relaxing and a barrel of laughs. Ladies, you really need to get your man and his tired, icky feet (don't argue 'cause you know damn well your man's feet need some tlc ... to put it mildly) to see Elena!
