However, I had to stand in a long line to purchase drink tickets even though I wasn't really sure what I was going to drink. I didn't find this to be a good system, and others around me in line seemed to agree. Additionally, there were several food trucks featuring BBQ, burgers, and hotdogs as well as sweets. Places to sit were limited, so it may be helpful to bring chairs or a blanket. There was also a variety of merchandise vendors along with two different live bands, neither of which appealed to me but seemed popular. Parking is limited, so we had to park about 4-5 blocks away.

And I've done those and they are worth the money. This was a well run activity, professional. I knew it was an hour and a half "trip" but it is actually just 20 minutes riding the bike rails in One Direction and then you turn around and do the same thing back for 20 minutes. There's a few stops where teenagers give a very memorized explanation about one of the parks you stop at (which you can drive to and walk around for free). If $100 is a drop in the bucket for you then you should do this.

These are some of the most beautiful houses in the country and walking around this town is heaven. Not heaven like being with my girlfriend but still pretty beautiful.

It's not a city I would like to spend too much time in. It's sort of a hybrid between Atlantic City and Cape May, but it misses the main point of both, which in the first case is gambling, and in the second case is peaceful beautiful resplendent Victorian charm. But one place in Wildwood is worth spending time. On the boardwalk. The boardwalk is very cool in a very old style way. I prefer the ones in Seaside Heights, AC, Coney Island, and others, but still. I got soul, but I'm not a Soldier's Monument…read more The Soldier's Monument is a beautiful peaceful Serene and understated Monument right in the heart of sleepy Cape May New Jersey. Sleepy except in the summer months of course, which is probably when you will see it if you come to this town for a holiday. It's right in the middle of the old district with all the beautiful houses and serves as a poignant reminder of all of the tragic battles and lives that have been lost.

The bunker, built with 6-foot-thick reinforced concrete walls and a blast-proof roof, originally sat 900 feet from the ocean but now lies on the beach due to erosion. Notably, the structure included 20 rooms, such as shell and powder rooms, a plotting room, and an airlock to safeguard against chemical attacks. Post-war, it was used by the Navy for radio communications and became part of Cape May Point State Park in 1962. An interesting fact is that Battery 223, now abandoned, is rumored to be haunted, adding a layer of local folklore to its historical significance
