This is the Place to Call!…read more Our 35 year-old heating system was about at the end of life. I had nursed it through the past several winters and we needed a new one. I started the frustrating activity of calling local businesses to replace it. Many would not call back. Some came and produced outrageous quotes. Then I called Bennett Plumbing. They sent Jimmy, who I assumed was their sales guy. He showed up on time, asked all the right questions, and made several very reasonable suggestions. I had to pester them a bit, but eventually, I got a reasonable quote and signed up with them. They gave me an installation date out about six weeks. Exactly on that date, Jimmy showed up to do the installation! Jimmy, who I thought was just the sales guy, is truly a master of his craft. With his young assistant, Josh, they removed the old gas boiler and gas water heater and installed a new gas boiler and indirectly-heated domestic water heater. He corrected several deficiencies in the old system and left behind a most-professional installation. I am a retired engineer and have messed with occasional plumbing matters as a homeowner and multi-unit landlord. I think I can appreciate Jimmy's skill. Other than this installation, I have no connection with Bennett Plumbing.

Passed a Harbor Homes work site today... what a mess on the lawn. After my past experience with…read moreHarbor Homes and all the negative postings I can't fathom why anyone would use then for the smallest job. In my case I still find problems with their work. I had to initiate a formal hearing brought against Harbor Homes with MA State Board of Licensing. The licensing board found unsatisfactory business practices and assessed fines against them. I feel for the poor people using them.

We have finally decided to bring a home inspector in to go through the house with a fine tooth comb to try and get all of the issues resolved which will never get done by hh. Just a few problems to mention; crooked moldings, plumbing and electrical issues, multiple Floods, tiling issues, splitting of floors and woodwork. Horrible horrible craftsmanship. Bottom line there was no supervision at all. Never the same subs. Absolutely no pride taken in their work. Harbor homes put a wooden tent sign on our yard for advertising. Somehow it fell over and sat in the mud for over six months. That says it all. We have started a support group for irate hh customers who have all had the same experiences with these people. Never have we seen such dishonest, immoral, disrespectful and unprofessional people. None of us can figure out how they stay in business. Do not use them!!!!! Highly dishonest, but worse, horrible builders!!!
