I was manipulated into making repairs to a home before buying that couldn't be closed on, this left us homeless for months and we couldn't even get legal help to try and get out money back because we didn't lose enough money for it to be profitable for a lawyer or litigator to take the case. As with many realtors, he/she acted like our (my) best friend until the contract was signed. The agent was frequently late for showings, took personal calls during them and didn't work on a particular day during the weekend. Despite years of experience, there was also a small measure of naivety which cost us time. The "client gift of appreciation" that we received was homemade which would have been great except that it was obviously an inexpensive token and didn't coordinate with the style of our new home. We tried to give it away, but even friends and family didn't want it. I've nothing against Dave Ramsey, but it seems his "endorsed" agents are the worst. For example, it bothered me that our realtor had an adage in their e-mail basically stating he/she will work hard for you because they want to become wealthy. We've definitely had better experiences with past realtors. (As a side note, to date we've not received a personal thank you note, Christmas card...nothing, from either the realtor or this agency.)

She was quick to respond and just as helpful if not more so than before. She got our current home listed and sold within 2 days of posting, helped get our offer accepted on a new home and was an all-star helping us sort out small speedbumps along the way. She has 20+ years experience in the market and it shows in her knowledge and expertise. She estimated what my home should cost the first day we saw it, and it ended up being spot on with the appraisal. Susan went to bat for me time and time again, making sure I got the place I wanted for the right price. She had connections with folks in every aspect of home buying, such as lenders and inspectors, and everyone I dealt with in this process was as pleasant and as personable as Susan. Even though I felt Susan was honest with me about the ups and downs of the home buying process, I always trusted her to help me through. I think I will be very happy in my new home, but if my life circumstances change, I will call Susan to sell my house.
