Our conversations started around mid-December of 2020 and the entire process concluded at the end of January 2021. I was very surprised and happy that the process only took about 6 weeks as I have friends whose mortgage refinance process took at least 4 months to complete. At the beginning of my refinance process, I was shopping around and had also requested a quote at Loan Depot (LD) for my refinance (since another friend of mine referred me to his friend that is a manager there), and I absolutely despised talking to the rep that they had assigned me there. The LD rep would lose his patience when I asked questions about things I didn't understand and became not helpful when he realized that I would not sign a contract or move forward with him the afternoon he first called. He was extremely pushy and wanted to get things started right away even though it was right before the holidays. I didn't think I would be able to finish the process before year's end, so his urgency just didn't sit well with me. The moment that solidified my decision to go with Ammy and Top Leading Financial over LD was how both parties responded to me when I informed them I was shopping around. While LD was very quick and able to provide me a quote right away on our first call and Ammy informed me she would send me a quote the next day, the LD rep became aggressive in his response towards me as to why Ammy was not able to provide me a quote right away when he was able to, as if I had the answer. Later that night, Ammy had not only sent me a quote, but had also pointed out some of the differences between hers and LD, and spoke with me the next day to go over more in detail about the differences in the quotes. She was very patient and didn't sound aggressive or pushy when explaining everything to me. I was initially planning to send her quote over to LD to see if they could offer me something better, but when she ended our call by letting me know that it's okay if I don't proceed with their services, but not to begin two different loan processes with different companies because it's going to be a giant mess for me, that was the moment I decided to drop LD and proceed with Ammy. Even now as I'm writing this review over a month after my last communication with LD rep, remembering my experience with him is infuriating me. I am extremely happy with my decision to go with Ammy and Top Leading Financial, as the rest of the process was a breeze. Ammy even helped me resolve a last-minute issue relatively late on a Saturday night prior to me signing the final documents needed to complete the process the next day. Ammy and Jerry kept constant communication throughout the process and answered any questions I had quickly and professionally. If anyone's looking to refinance their mortgage and isn't too knowledgeable about the process, I definitely would recommend them to reach out to Top Leading Financial.

After this point he decided to ghost me and avoid my phone calls and texts. Initially I was not sure what type of loan I needed for this transaction, but as we spoke to Benson he walked us through which loan would work best for our current situation. I worked directly with Benson this time. And thank goodness for that. The loan started out smoothly however we ran into some issues with other parts of the transaction unrelated to just the loan itself. Midway into the process my partner and our accountant highly suggested I use their lender. Initially I said no. "I am familiar with Nestmade and had good experiences so I'm going to stick with them" But eventually I caved. The other lender however made promises he couldn't keep, so we called Benson back and he picked up or loan where we left off. What I appreciate about Nestmade is their clarity and expertise. They will not make a promise they can't keep. Everything is always transparent. The other part was also our realtor and trying to close on time. Gotta say, this purchase actually sent me to tears! Probably the 1st time the stress in home purchasing got the best of me. Benson came through and went to bat for us and made sure our loan closed timely.
