Appliance repairs for most of your kitchen appliances. I called up in the morning to report a faulty dishwasher and was given a callout appointment the same afternoon. This was followed up later that morning with a call from the engineer letting me know roughly what time he'd be there. Excellent start.... Engineer arrived promptly, talked me through what he was doing, and gave the machine a full service, getting it working again in the process. Excellent service throughtout, highly recommended. (Fixed callout and labour fee of £60 + VAT is a little on the high side, but for my case, well worth it versus me trying to do it and botching up.... Any parts needed are charged extra, which much better than those 'one price fits all' merchants who include parts in their price, then try to weasel their way out of doing any work, and still want paying!) read more

The engineer came next day first appointment at 7.30 am, could not fix it, the engineer promised not to worry you will get a call from the office today with a quote and they will collect the oven to the work shop for repair. SCAM. STAY AWAY. When I phoned them up and described the problem, they assured me that they've been in business for over 30 years and will aboslutely certainly fix my washer dryer. The person who showed up didn't have experience with the brand of my washer dryer and had to call his colleagues to find out what the problem *might* be! Do NOT use Capital Repairs. I received an appalling service. One of their tradesmen came to repair my washing machine on 4th January 2021. He spent a lot of time faffing around claiming he couldn't pull out my integrated machine. I later easily pulled it out on my own. He then flooded my kitchen by draining the washing machine without using a bucket or any towels to mop up the excess water. This caused permanent damage to my kitchen. My washing machine was left unrepaired and I was charged for the tradesman's excessive time. I called Capital Repairs and emailed over photos of the damage caused to my kitchen . Four months on and over 10 follow up calls and Capital Repairs have still not made contact to readdress my complaint. read more

Called to repair same day charged £89 + vat . Came next Day to diagnosis the fault . Then await for part costs few days .then ask to pay for parts . then Await few more days to call and give appointment to repair and to say parts are 7 days further late then give appointment to come and repair after receipt of parts meaning on 10th day due to weekend . so effectively after charging upfront more then £250 and waiting for three weeks without fridge . causes donestics within family without fridge and to cancel it they want charge 50% cancellation charge .so effectively they don't care about customer. and don't do anything to help vustomer but hold them at ransom whilst holding their money taken upfront . Don't bother. The only thing they're experts in is trying to "fob you off" & telling lies. Be aware they do not adhere to the 3 month guarantee on labour as stated on their website. I only took my mower to them to loosen a bolt, then the mower WAS working perfectly. When I collected it, it didn't work at all! So much for them being "trained to work on Flymo". They are now refusing to refund what I paid them, so it's looking like I'll have to sue them. When I went to collect the mower on Saturday, it was disassembled - see photo, and their Service Manager, Paul Shaw, refused to put it back together. He also denied all knowledge about my complaint despite being copied in to correspondence to Gary Pearce MD. Gary Pearce will respond that "it's all been explained to you.........". Gary Pearce MD of Capital Repairs will not accept that his engineer used excessive force on the mower - the engineer himself stated "it took two of us to loosen the bolt". Gary Pearce MD of Capital Repairs refuses to accept that his engineer, Dave, also failed to carry out the most basic check i.e. that the mower was still working after he loosened the bolt. They are in Breach of the 3 Month Guarantee on Labour statement as advertised on their website, this has now been reported to the relative authorities. My mower didn't work for 3 SECONDS after Capital Repairs worked on it, let alone 3 MONTHS!!!! read more

Service paid in advance (£250) the guys came 3 times, and 3 times brought the wrong component to repair the washing machine, at the end they were not able to repair it. After I was offered a refund but it has been almost 2 months and I did not get it. Every week I call them and the customer service department is claiming that the accounting department will proceed with my refund soon but at present I haven't seen any money back So my advice is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY read more

I have used Capital Repairs for a number of years theie service has been average - nothing great however the only local company that does appliance repairs. My latest experience has been a nightmare I have spent over £600 reapiring three appliances only one of which they have managed to almost do and it has taken them over 7 months. Their engineers do not know what they are doing, ingetting my dryer repaired they have changed 3 parts and it is still not working they ask for the money upfront and leave you to call and complain. I have called their customer services manager - NAZ at least 30 times and he makes promises he does not keep, he tries to avoid you as much as he can. When I called Capital Repairs I explained the problem was that my oven would not turn on. I had a man come out to look at the oven - he was in the house for less than 10 minutes and charged me £80 saying I needed an electrician to look at the job. I then had an electrician round, who saw immediately that fuse switch had gone and had found it in a cupboard. Even after that I am still having problems with the oven fuse blowing - and I was told I had a 3 month warranty on the works with Capital Repairs. I rung up Capital Repairs and despite the above they will only come out again for an additional £50! Really not happy with this service. Strongly advice not to use. Money hungry scammers. I've made an appointment to have a filter replaced on a washing machine. I was given an appointment 2 weeks later and the filter was replaced and have paid for the parts and call out fee. The engineer left without testing my washing machine, My washing machine then started leaking on the same afternoon and I've phoned the company who said they will bring out the engineer back out. He came and loosened the filter which was stuck and said you have to use a plier to ram it shut. Then hypothesised the leak must have came from hardened detergent in the detergent box. Then the following day get called to pay and additional call out fee as there's was "new problem" even though they state unlimited call out fee for the same issue". The engineer clearly must have put his hypothesis (no actual fixing as already resolved itself) but also tightened/loosened filter which is the main issue. Having tried to explain the situation I was shut down and kept being asked pay the additional fee. No chance to explain no chance to speak to a manager. He even refused to speak to the engineer who came out who could confirm everything. All in all, I've paid the additional fee knowing that I will never use them again. They rather get that one time fee than provide customer service to get a returning customer. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid and find a reputable company. read more

The company lied to me about when the engineer is going to be able to come in to fix the fridge only to sell me expensive parts. Over the weekend my husband and I were mulling over whether or not to fix an old fridge or get a new one (the parts via Cap repairs cost as much as a new fridge). I called on Monday and asked how long it will take for the parts to arrive and how quickly can we get someone in to come and fit them. I was told the parts will take between 3-5 working days and they will be able to send the engineer in as soon as the parts have arrived. Three days later they told me the parts have arrived but it will be 2 WEEKS before someone can come and fit them in. 2 Weeks with a small child at home and no fridge is a disaster for any parent. I asked them if they can offer some flexibility and try and slot us in, or rearrange engineer's work day or do something else to help us get an appointment earlier. Nothing, zero interest to help, zero flexibility, no alternative offered. Basically this company has a policy "computer says NO'. So disappointed I've wasted 120 quid on the initial call out and all this time waiting for them to fix our fridge. read more

Superb service!!!!! I had big problems with my dishwasher. Real big. I needed help and found Capital Repairs. I spoke to a very helpful young lady in their contact centre, who booked an engineer to come round and have a look at it and do his best for me. The dishwasher was totally knackered, and was told by the engineer (Dave), that he could help with the cost of a new one as Capital Repairs are members of Euronics. I was put in touch with a guy called Spencer who knew pretty much all there is to know about appliances, and pointed me in the direction of a new one. I ordered service for gas cooker. Technician inspected and said parts need to be ordered (three knobs and a spark). This was in the beginning of August. Now is October. During that time they told me: Parts have arrived, but technician called in sick. Technician is on the way, but will not make it. Just 10 minutes ago they called me and said that parts have not yet arrived. Bloody hell!!! What kind of service is that? And when I asked for a deposit refund - they said no! £60 nearly gone! I called Capital Repairs to repair my American Style Samsung Fridge Freezer. The call out charge was £102. The engineer diagnosed the problem as being a seized compressor and quoted £350 for the replacement compressor (on top of the £102 call out). Internet research showed that the actual cost for the part was £115. After a bit more research I found Trio Domestic Appliances who were able to provide the part for £140. Capital repairs have a huge mark up on spare parts therefore I would strongly recommend against using them! read more

Customer Services do not communicate effectively with the customer. three of the four appointments were cancelled or arrangements were ignored or changed without communicating with the customer. So far, I have done most of the running. The customer pays in advance so there is no recourse without a lot of hassle. First appointment was cancelled half an hour after it was supposed to have started; customer services said I was preventing them from calling other customers by keeping them on the line. The next appointment was ok. Engineer fine. Third appointment was made after the parts were in but was cancelled because the parts had not arrived! Fourth appointment - Not trusting them, I had phoned them the day before to confirm the appointment and was told that I was first on the list for 8 am and that the engineer would phone me half an hour before arriving. He didn't phone or show up. I phoned them and discovered that he was not going to be arriving until after nine. I am still waiting... read more

AVOID!! Capital Repairs have come out several times to fix washer/dryer yet the same error code shows up and the machine still doesn't work. They have cancelled 3 visits and when they have attended I have paid for labour and parts yet the problem remains unresolved. With the amount I have been charged I could have purchased a brand new machine! I have tried to raise the matter with customer services but they are unhelpful and fob me off saying they will call me back but never do. Stay well clear! read more

this company is a rip off. they will charge you £70 to tell you your appliance is not repairable, without even looking at it and then try to sell you a replacement appliance at top dollar!. A repair man came , took one look, did not touch, and said it was not repairable and they should have known that over the phone and should not have sent anyone. then i got a call trying to sell me a fridge freezer for £425!! AWEFUL SERVICE! AVOID! - technician came out at least 4 times, couldn't fix the dishwasher. Asked them for an itemised list of callouts - they kept telling me that due to a problem with an IT fault they couldn't send it. Weeks late spoke to a manager, Mr Kahn, who explained he couldn't give me the information as was pleased his phone operatives lied as it was more polite than telling me they couldn't send it. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, they do not reply emails and they do not know much about what they are doing. I was googling for an engineer to quickly come and have a look at our broken washing machine. I found this website and read the fantastic feedback so I went ahead and booked a person to come and have a look. I did tell the girl exactly what was going on with our washing machine. I did explain that it does not spin properly and it is very loud. She did not ask any questions and booked an engineer to come and visit us. We were booked on Saturday for the morning slot between 9 and 12. I had a call after 11am that the engineer is late and he will be in the afternoon after 1pm. Being the last sunny day in the year I wasn't ecstatic to hear that somebody has to stay in even longer but we arranged to have someone in for the afternoon. Quite frankly I thought that if he is late he will give us priority but this did not happen, we were the very last ones on his priority list. We didn't hear anything by 4 something pm so I decided to call you; I was told that we will definitely have a person coming so we continued to arrange someone to be in if someone else needed to leave. The engineer arrived at 8.15pm! He had spent 1 second putting his hand in the washing machine, spinning the drum and he said that it is the 'bearing' and it can't be fixed now, plus he said that they should have told me this over the telephone. I still had to pay £75.00 for absolutely nothing which is totally unacceptable after waiting 11 hours for the engineer who then did not do anything! He stayed for 15-20 minutes doing nothing, filling in some paper leaning on my kitchen counter like he has loads of time on his hands, resulting in my being late from where I was going in the evening. I was upset already that he did not do much so him just feeling comfortable in my kitchen made me really upset. Also he said that the machine can not be removed from its place (he couldn't find where it was plugged in etc.) and we need two people when I could (being a small woman) easily find where it was connected and could pull it out when we installed the new one. The engineer promised that someone will call me on Monday with a quote but they didn't. They did call ma later in the week with offers that were a lot more expensive than those on any other high street electrical retailers websites. I wrote to the manager to complain, I got a reply 2 weeks after my original email and it was asking for my details as they could not find my name in the database. I replied twice, once on the day I received teh email and again on the 21st of October and - it is going to be 4 weeks on Friday - still no answer. read more
