I believe the establishment in Towson is subpar. I had inquired earlier this year if I could get some tests to either rule out or confirm a diagnosis. I was told there is no test to take. I am now with a new provider, and I was able to get a blood test at my first appointment. One of my medical conditions has gotten worse throughout the year, and I inquired about support with my employer. I was advised by my two providers that medication is the only support I can be given, or that we only need to evaluate my condition every month. I am very disappointed in Dr. Ahern and Morgan Wilkerson. It is apparent that they are not in the business of supporting those who need OBGYN services. I wasn't even at the location for a year, and I could see that. At least I'm at a new provider, and they specialize in my condition. I can understand that both providers may not have been sufficiently educated about my condition, so it made sense to make the change. I'm so happy with my provider now. I had a high-risk pregnancy and faced many challenges, including high blood pressure and gestational diabetes. From the moment I began my care at the Towson location, every single person I encountered was kind, supportive, and truly invested in my well being. I was a nervous wreck, overwhelmed and struggling with depression, but the entire team stood by me every step of the way. Even though this wasn't my first pregnancy, it was my first experience with this OB-GYN office and I can honestly say, it was the best care I've ever received. They not only provided excellent medical attention, but also made sure I was never left feeling unheard or alone. They took time to educate me, listened to my concerns, and made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the entire journey. When it came time to deliver, I was terrified due to all the complications I had faced. But once again, they rose to the occasion making me feel safe, supported, and cared for. A nurse stayed by my side the entire time during delivery, and I will never forget that. They didn't miss a beat and never played around when it came to my health and my baby's. I am beyond grateful for the compassion, dedication, and professionalism of this team. Thank you for everything. I would 100% recommend this office to anyone especially those with complicated pregnancies. You'll be in the best hands possible. I want to thank EVERYONE in the whole office. read more

Very easy to schedule with and get in contact with office staff. I have see both Dr.Kazner and NP Janet and was really happy with both of them. I was provided great care at a general wellness visit and a colposcopy. I have recommended this office to multiple friends lookin for a new GYN. read more

I'm very understanding that this office prioritize their patients who are actively pregnant. however, the individuals booking appointments are beyond rude and disrespectful. there needs to be some system in place for people booking annual appointments. given that I have called several times over the past FOUR months to schedule an appointment and nothing available or even open for the next few months is ridiculous. I had an appointment booked, which I then had to cancel, and the doctor didn't even know I was on the list. I was told to "call back when the schedule opens", meaning the MARCH calendar! the doctors and nurses are great, but they need to figure out a better system or bring in new doctors to accommodate the needs of their patients. Terrible service, would not and have not recommended this place due to that issue to anyone. read more

This is for Capital Womens Care in Towson. Be prepared to sit for at least 40 minutes past your appointment time. while you're waiting you can fill out the same family history paperwork you've filled out the previous three times you've been there. One time I got to listen to the receptionist snuffle up her boogers for 45 minutes. That was enjoyable. other than that she was perfectly efficient. Not too nice, not too rude. Let me say after many decades in customer service, I get it. The general public and many humans, in general, are insufferable. I understand the wall that many people put up due to being talked to rudely by customers/patients. However, I treat service workers with respect. Especially people working in the medical field. so when dealing with the surliest nurse or nursing assistant I ever come across it's off putting. I'd hate to be this women, she clearly hates her life or has major problems she's dealing with. on the other hand, at another appointment there was a very pleasant nurse/assistant. She could not have been nicer. Even wished me a happy birthday. She had a Jamaican accent. Dr. Pegues, very nice and caring. I wish I could give 5 stars because of them unfortunately, have to deal with the other unpleasant aspects. The billing. SMH. They charge for two differently categorized visits, so you're essentially paying two copays. Have had to go round and round with them and Blue Cross after every visit. Call their billing department which they apparently outsourced overseas. Capital Womens Care is fast food, drive-thru medicine. They have some kind doctors and staff, but other than that, it's cold. Uncaring. I believe my doctor cares...if you can get through the obstacles trying to get to him. in conclusion, I suppose doctors have to hitch their wagons to these large practices to protect themselves. I'm currently looking for a new practice. my gyn before having to go to this place, was a one man operation. not many of them around, if any. He retired rather than join the circus. You're just a number to "Capital Womens Care"., the business. once you've worked your way to the doctor, you're good. I'd send them a letter telling them that I'm leaving for another practice, but clearly they don't give a damn. Another patient will take my place. Anyway, when you go for your yearly check up, allow for the extra waiting time. As I stated early, 40 minutes was the least amount of time I waited. I've given them four chances to improve. I'm hopefully going to be able to find another practice. Sadly, I believe due to frivolous lawsuits, doctors ban together. I frankly don't even want to go anymore.Good luck. read more

I had one of the male doctors as my GYN when my husband and I started trying to conceive. 2 months in I had a "chemical pregnancy" (7 weeks along) and 3 months later I complained to my doctor about pains throughout my cycle. The doctor did an inspection with just his fingers and said "you're fine just stop trying to get pregnant". That same month I got pregnant and had another "chemical pregnancy" (7.5 weeks). I called their after hours because I had begun bleeding and the doctor on call asked me "are you sure you just don't have your period?" I was shocked! I asked the doctor what was next and he supposedly asked his co-workers what to do with two back to back "miscarriages" (he was now willing to call them) and said "everyone agreed let's wait and see if you have a third". He also told me to "take the summer off on trying to have a baby and it would happen". After all of this I obviously changed doctors. Two years later, after another OBGYN and a Reproductive Endocrinologist, I have discovered I have a septum and extreme endometriosis (explains the pain throughout my cycle). My new doctors have taken care of my issues and I am on the road to conceiving soon (hopefully). I am extremely confident if I was still under the care of Capital Women's Care I would still be "taking off the summer". If you are someone who opens their legs and gets pregnant with no complications throughout pregnancy THIS is the doctor for you. If you are the 1 in 4 who have a miscarriage or the 1 in 8 who have fertility issues this is NOT the doctor for you! read more

Last year I moved here from Boston and went to my first appointment at Capital Women's. I was impressed with the staff, liked my doctor and felt it would be a great place when trying for our second child. A year later, I was back at Captial Women's, now pregnant. I only stayed at Capital Women's care for the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy. I learned I wouldn't be seeing one doctor, I would be seeing multiple doctors. During my my visits the doctor's advice was inconsistent and sometimes even went against each other's recommendations. The doctors were nice enough but didn't seem to really understand my pregnancy or concerns since they only saw me once. The most frustrating was talking to the nurses over the phone. Whenever I had a concern about my pregnancy I felt bullied or told that I was making a big deal over nothing. I had two miscarriages before my firstborn and would explain that my nerves were high because of that but it didn't seem to matter. Their 'bedside manner' was awful. Along with all of this, once I decided to switch doctors it took them 3 weeks to send my medical records. I went to my first appointment with my new doctor and was told Capital Women's had never sent the records and I had to miss my 20-week appointment. I called again and left two messages, even asked someone over the phone and my new doctor's office called twice. It still took another week. Finally, when they sent my records, they promptly sent a bill for $16 for Medical records transfers fee. There was no delay getting a bill to me. I feel this practice isn't communicating with one another and their patients are not getting the piece of mind they need during pregnancy. I hope for the doctors and nurses that it is figured out soon because my first experience was so positive and reassuring, but then a year later it seems things have changed. read more

High Risk Ob patient: Capital Womens Care gave no care, concern or consideration for my high risk status. Staff were heartless and bullied me when I asked to speak with the Doctor. Staff answering phones are rude. One went as far as making negative comments about my age. And beware that they will cancel your appointment! I went to Dr. Nachbar in the office and just got a routine check up. She gave me the wrong results to my pap- told me I had HPV, then told me I didn't need to come back for any type of follow up which concerned me. (I have received all of the gardisil shots to protect me from this). My step father is a physician and I had my results forwarded to his office where is was confirmed that my results tested negative for all types of HPV. read more

Prescription expired after 2 refills left and they refused to call in because I didn't schedule to see them in the near future to spend money at their office. Doctors are scams. read more

This particular group in Towson provides excellent care. I had both my babies in their rotating practice, seeing Dr. Facciolo, Dr. Duke, Dr. Zern and Dr. Buescher throughout my pregnancies. I had a freak complication in my first pregnancy with unexpected bleeding after an attempted Foley induction. I had low amniotic fluid with both. Not a day goes by that I am not relieved beyond belief to have been in a practice where the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed by these no b.s. feminist docs. While healthy outcomes for birth are something we tend to take for granted these days, and many of us are privileged enough to chase the "birth experience," at the end of the day you want doctors who do their best work, with the best evidence, and go the distance with you. read more

My daughter and I both switched to this practice for routine GYN care. Dr. Nachbahr was superb -- professional and personable. Made a young woman starting her GYN care and an, well, more mature woman who has seen many GYN physicians over the years feel welcome, comfortable and in great hands professionally. Tiffany in the billing department also tirelessly worked through an insurance authorization issue and really went the extra mile to get it worked out. Worst experience with this group, never had the same doctor twice and was treated poorly. I had to have a medical procedure when I miscarried, the doctor was so cold and unfeeling during whole thing, It mad it one of the worst experiences in my life!!
