The children are learning invaluable life skills, through the physical, mental and discipline it requires to be a gymnast. Yes, the coaches can be tough, but I know of no gymnastics coach that is not tough. Being tough is required to keep children safe and model the discipline needed to succeed at gymnastics. With that said, they celebrate every child's accomplishments, and provide loving guidance each and every day! Santa Fe is truly lucky to have a facility like this in town! Great gymnasts are coming out of this special place.

Keep in mind my daughter is just learning to count and understand what the instructor was asking of her. The instructor was very rude and had a bad attitude when my daughter didn't understand what was asked of her. Stating you guys aren't listening and that the class should go with their parents to be taught how to listen correctly. My daughter came back emotional and really sad saying she no longer wants to persue gymnastics because of how the instructor treated her.

My 2 granddaughters started taking gymnastics class here last night. They loved every minute and…read moredid not want to leave after the hours class was up. The younger one enjoyed the warm up exercises, tumbling, walking forward and back on the low balance beam and swinging on the rings.. They played Duck, Duck, Goose to wrap up the class. My older one did warm up stretching exercises, and hanging on the horizontal bar, some tumbling, and then the high balance beam. She was in a class with students that had more experience, so she was eager to emulate what they were doing and watching the older much advanced girls doing the floor exercises. Friday nights will never be the same and we will listen all week, to how many days it will be until the next gymnastics class.

ERG has great experienced instructors who are very competent and also encouraging. We look forward to attending her weekly classes, and enjoyed her first competition. Our girls are consistently given appropriate, unique challenges that motivate them and improve their skills. They have both improved more in 1 year at Rio, than they did in total in 4 years at another local gym. The coaches have tons of gymnastics knowledge and experience and are all wonderfully supportive of all the gymnasts. This program is fun and challenging in a positive way. Now, that's the technical stuff, and it's all fantastic, but the best thing our girls have gotten out of the Rio program is the bond they have developed to other gymnasts, the sense of belonging in the gym, and the experience of being part of a TEAM. Any building can house a gym, but it takes very special people to make a team, and that's something we've found in the staff, gymnasts and families at Rio, that we haven't found anywhere else! Our girls are so proud to be a part of Team Rio. They both love the sport of gymnastics, but they are truly passionate about THEIR team.

Not only are they amazing at coaching but they make you feel at home. Even though we don't do cheer and we come sporadically to tumble, they always remember us and make it a great, personal experience!
