Best swimming with their beautiful well-kept pools indoor and outdoor at Highpoint and the scenery is outstanding!

They have a room where parents can bring their small children while they work out which is nice. There's a small play area for the kids and a TV. The only problem is that there is only cardio equipment there. The other issue I have with this gym is there is no sauna. Apparently it's been out of service for years. Cons: Might as well start off with the complaints, lol…read more 1. A violation of privacy lawsuit, a stabbing or a shooting, is just waiting to happen at your SW side gym! The Coors & Central Men's locker room, so I have heard from several members, was just a constant dodging of guys taking pictures of you naked and undressing, or coming out of the shower. I live on the Eastside and have been going there since the 1st year that they opened. I have never been photographed that I know of, naked in the locker rooms at Winrock, in all these years. After a couple of years of friendly members always telling me that that the South Westside location had a superior steam and sauna, I decided to check it out, with caution. I was warned by a few guys that fights often breakout in the locker rooms because there are so many members filming other guys coming in and out of the showers, undressing and stripping. I am like, you have to be kidding here, man. I asked these members, if it is so good over there, why do you come to Winrock? They all said the same thing, basically... that they will drive more than 30 minutes for a suckier steam and sauna, rather than get shot, get punched, or get stabbed by someone in the locker room. This is no BS, I have heard it so many time since they opened that location. I honestly thought these guys were feeding me BS, and screwing with me. Since I have only seen this one time at Winrock, I figured it has to be the same at the other location. Boy, was I wrong!! Holy moly man, I dodged 4 camera guys while I was naked in the last week at that location. I am not going back there, no matter how good the steam and sauna are. From what I hear, It just seems to be getting worse and worse at that location. I hear that they place No Picture Signs directly on the mirrors, and they just get ripped off. I had to verbally tell a 2 guys to delete the damn pictures!! One was respectful, and said sorry. The other one.... Let's just say...... Class Action Lawsuit? A third one was a little buffed guy that was live filming. I was coming out of the showers, I saw the setup. I asked him if was filming, before a stepped across naked. He said yes, sorry, and pulled his phone off the ledge. The 4th one, the guy was taking pics in the mirror at the sinks, which reflects perfect back at the locker area that I was at. I asked if he got me in the pic, he said no. It was close. I did not dare ask to see the pictures as he looked pretty serious. As far as I can see, there are never any employees in that locker roomr, or the wet area on Coors & Central. These places seem never to be policied, at least in the evenings that I went. This is a problem gym...... I asked if anyone has reported these picture takers, a couple of them said yes, but the problem is that staff does not care, or is just simply restricted to what corporate enforces. It is a policy, but it is not enforced. One guy told me that he almost fought another guy that had a tripod setup in the locker room, but that the guy started reaching in his bag for something. Needless to say, he hauled ass the hell out of there without reporting it. So why in one location are you dodging land mines, and my location.... you are not?? lol. I will leave that up to Chuze find out. All I can say is that, we are in Albuquerque. If an agressive lawyer can sue McDonalds for millions, for the coffee being too hot, and win, I am all in for the class action lawsuit of a violation of privacy due to Chuze not enforcing the policy. I have spent too much time already on this, but if Chuze is listening. You probably want to fix this before someone does actually get shot on that side of town, or a lawyer gets word of just how bad it is there. At my location, we have the mirrors framed, and they sit up higher, like above the waist. At that SW location, the mirrors are wall to wall, and sit pretty much at waist level or below. It is the perfect mirror for a picture, if you want a waist up body picture. Another thing you could do is frost the mirrors, which I have heard from another member, that you have done before in other locations 2. Steam rooms in all locations are constantly occupied with members wearing full pants and shoes. Since the gym opened in Albuquerque, (Winrock), I have only seen one time where members wearing shoes and pants were asked to leave the steam. I believe that was Jill who enforced that. I have been in the wet area not 100s of times, but 1,000s of times!! 3. No water fountains at 2 locations in the wet area. Sucks to not have water in these areas while, you sweat like a pig. Pros - Great rates, good amenities for the most part. Clean machines, good machines. Bad ass movie theater cardio, dope low light, little semi private weight rooms! She and all her trainers will help you through any stage of workouts. She doesn't want to get you in as her client for a month- she wants you in for a lifetime. It's not about pushing yourself to your max and forget form-she wants a strong healthy form every time! I absolutely love the classes. They constantly change, there's always new exercises and new timers/setups for classes. CedarFit is the full package with a food program as well. I love the recipes provided. Breakfast, lunch, diner. Dressings- and dinners my son will eat too!

This is a pretty identical review to my review of the Paseo location, but there are some…read moredifferences. I've been going to CedarFIT off and on since 2012. I first starting going under a special plan and enjoyed my results. It is a pretty pricey membership to attend, but now that there are two locations, it does make it better value. If you miss a day or two, or even a week, it makes you regret spending a lot of money for a membership. That helps me be consistent, but it isn't always affordable or within my budget. I have recently re-joined after injuring myself likely due to heavy lifting worsened by my job of having to hike daily. I like that most of the trainers are well versed in how to modify the movements and keep it from hurting myself further. I wish that Cedar did more of the training herself because she is top notch. I appreciate trainers looking out for proper form and hope that going here will help me rebuild muscles and stabilizers for me to continue my journey. This location is convenient to my home, but I do wish there were more training times available along with the full range of classes. Being newer, Cedar is working out getting additional trainers, what times work, and West side clients, all reasonable. I cannot wait for this to be more full-scale with the body care classes and kickboxing. This location did have a hiccup at one point due to flooding from the store next door. Cedar took it all with great stride and moved her workouts to a nearby park showing great flexibility and accommodating her customers. This location is a bit smaller, but still just as great as the other location. A nice bonus is all new equipment. I only hope to soon see more times and classes. I just hope that my budget continues to allow my visits.

And if you like pushing yourself to the max, you can kill a whole day here. They say time flies when you're having fun, and my only ultimate wish is if this were open longer. Come give it a try. There may be two sides to any story implying deceit, embellishment, dishonesty, and aggrandizement by one or both sides. However, the recorded audio of the conversation can only present the conversation as it happened. My experiences in those areas have been excellent: the weightlifting equipment is maintained to a high level, and the locker room, shower, and steam room are always very clean. The staff in the weightlifting area have been very helpful, especially, Chris who has given me great advice on how to exercise properly. But it is totally unacceptable for any member, employee and especially a security director to threaten with a badge and gun. See slide 22. It is totally unacceptable for the security director not to contact the offending party when that activity can result in injury and even death. It is totally unacceptable to revoke a membership because that member has reported offending, dangerous, and abnormal behavior. This offending dangerous behavior has been reported for over 40 days to JCC and has been known by employees and members for much longer than 40 days. There is no excuse for not contacting the known offending party. There is no excuse for not posting parking signs, "Consider Others Park Between The Lines, Violators Will Be Towed". The cost of 3 signs is less than $150. JCC has signs implying secure your belongings in the parking lot. Why do they have these signs and not similar parking signs? To say that I refused to leave JCC is deceitful, not supported by the video. To imply that I am upset at no longer being a JCC membership is highly misleading and defamatory. The last statement made to the Security Director is "If you want to revoke my membership, do it. See slide 23. To imply that I am the problem is an opinion. Both youth and adult classes available throughout the week, jiu jitsu, self defense, judo, and sophisticated techniques are incorporated. I highly recommend for anyone youth or adult alike, whether you're interested in competing in the exciting world of jiu jitsu, or simply to learn how to defend and protect yourself in the perils of every day life. Loving this extracurricular activity for my 7 year old daughter.
