Started out poorly and didn't really improve…read more Tried several times up to 6 months in advance to get in touch with the concierge via the web site and email with no response. At one point I got an email from the concierge with a request to submit credit card information for restaurant bookings, so I thought someone was responding. Unfortunately, it appears to have been an automated email because they didn't respond to any of my replies. When we arrived, check-in was fine. Not much snow this season to that point, so the ski-in/ski-out run and lift were not functioning. Can't blame the hotel for that, but other hotels like the Viewline, Limelight, and other condos are on the main resort area and clearly have higher priority for getting ski-in/ski-out functioning. This hotel is on a smaller side hill that probably just says "tough luck" whenever that lift isn't functioning due to weather or under staffing. We got to our room (family of 4) and there were 2 bath towels and 2 sets of the other amenities. That's ok, just call to have some delivered. Well we called, left the room for an hour, came back, nothing. Called again, waited about 45 minutes, nothing. Called again before dinner, came back from dinner, nothing. We had to get ready for bed so we just went to the pool to get towels ourselves. We did finally call again and someone delivered the requested towels and a couple of dental kits. But over our stay, about half the time we only got 2 towels from housekeeping. "Game room" is a limited conference room with a bunch of partial board games with missing pieces, Jenga, and a ping pong table. At least have some cards or some complete board games. Other hotels have video game systems, movies, etc. Toro was pretty good for dinner. Breakfast was mostly disappointing. Soggy bacon, dry pancakes, random assortment of pastries., stuff like that. Went to the jacuzzi a few times. Ordered drinks once, and it took over half an hour to get our drinks (basic cocktails). Didn't arrive until we were ready to leave. We were told they had to go to some other floor to make the drinks. Still not sure why that means a 30 minute wait. There were only 10 people around the pool area. One day we were waiting for a shuttle that was supposed to arrive in 5 minutes. Called again 20 minutes later. Was told that "the driver is right outside the restaurant, don't you see him?" I said no, we're right outside the restaurant. Guy then says "oh actually he's almost there." On the day of checkout, I stopped by the bell desk and asked them to grab our bags for an airport shuttle in 2.5 hours. I went back 2 hours later and didn't see our bags. Guy says "oh we just put them in another room on the side, it's probably there." Wasn't particularly convincing so I went back to our room to check. All our bags were still there. Carried a few bags myself, past a bunch of guys watching me carry bags and trying to open the door to the hotel myself. If I (as a guest) saw someone carrying a bunch of bags trying to open the door, I'd help. They didn't. This was our first and will be our only stay at a Viceroy. Snowmass is great for the family, we'll be staying at another hotel next time.

Room service was like, super-fast, and the bolognese and the sausage pizza really hit the spot after a long day of travel to arrive. So, of course the mountains and the views and the fresh air give them a free star off the bat, but seriously, the team who is running Limelight in Snowmass and Aspen is CRUSHING it. Every single team member has been beyond helpful, welcoming, delightful. From the shuttle driver/porter who picked us up at the airport and got our bags up to the room before we even checked in... to the service team who runs a legit full-on (complementary) breakfast every morning, to the concierge who helped us avoid a couple ill-thought choices ... really a great and attentive team. So that's where our mind was this evening after coming back from July 4 celebrations in Aspen, then we kicked it on the patio for a drink and by chance happened to strike up a conversation with Brandon and Deisy, had a great time meeting new friends. It turns out Brandon is on the leadership team with Limelight so we had deep philosophical discussions about hospitality, as I'm a restaurant guy and he's a hotel guy ... cutting to the chase, this organization has exactly the right leader and team to continue raising the bar of excellence here among a very competitive field... I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else the next time I visit Snowmass. Really an unforgettable stay.

Travel doesn't always go perfectly, and we did encounter a couple small issues during our stay. However, what really stood out was how the management team handled everything. Daniel and Jessica went above and beyond to make things right and ensured our family felt genuinely cared for. Their kindness, generosity, and sincere desire to create a great guest experience turned what could have been minor frustrations into a memorable and positive stay. They helped make our birthday celebrations extra special and consistently showed professionalism and warmth throughout our visit. It's rare to encounter a hotel team that responds with such personal attention and genuine hospitality. The location is fantastic, the property is beautiful, and thanks to the exceptional service, we left feeling grateful and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Snowmass/Aspen. -- Dr. Dustin Dillberg

I can't believe a resort this gorgeous and in the middle of Snowmass Village is getting 2 stars…read morefrom me. Don't get me wrong, the resort is gorgeous and my room was huge and my view was of the Village. I have ZERO complaints about the room. They provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and body lotion in glass bottles by Grown Alchemist and the scents are so amazing! However, the resort is desperately understaffed and it's clear that management doesn't care because as a supervisor, one should write the schedule to not have your team members stress and have to fend for themselves when trying to resolve guests' difficulties. A group of my coworkers and I stayed for 1 night, for which we ALL were double charged resort fees for the same night. The resort fee is charged as 1 lump sum of $50 twice, but the reversal is 5 different line items and for others in my group, various line items were forgotten. When we checked out in the morning at 630a, there was only 1 employee working the front desk who was busy with a whole air crew, while also running to grab keys for valeted vehicles, and dealing with our bill issues. I felt so bad for that employee because he was overwhelmed and that is clearly a management issue. For those who valeted (I self-parked), they were never told what time valet would arrive in the morning, but they were not there when we were checking out and my coworkers had to go find their valeted vehicles in far away parking lots. I am severely disappointed with our experience especially for it being part of the Autograph Collection.

There is a condo ski services center right by the slopes where you can leave your boots/shoes should you prefer not to walk in your ski boots at all. Skis can be left on racks there too and will be stored indoors at night (there is also storage right outside each condo). The condos are ok, although being privately owned decor and furniture will be different. Most are designed for families - big master bedroom for the parents and small twin rooms for kids although there are rooms with two double beds (some in lofts with ladders). So if you care about bed size you'd want to make sure you get the right condo. Kitchen is well equipped. Gas fireplace is great and so is the gas grill out on the balcony. Three hot tubs - two near the reception and one next to ski services by the slopes - they open at 2pm and not too crowded between 3-4 pm. There is also an outdoor heated pool but not large enough to really swim in. Transportation is convenient - the scheduled #2 Snowmass village shuttle stops right in front of the lobby/reception, and staff can also take you to the village/mall on request.
