Quality of haircut has deteriorated significantly. Last two haircuts were rushed and with disregard. Before getting a chance to inspect the haircut, the gown is removed and it's clear the haircut is over. Upon inspection at home, it's an absolute mess. Tried this place for the first time today. It's just off of 102/62/14th St., a hair past Las Fajitas. Capps is heads and shoulders above their Sporty competition. I go here to see Hannah, I've been getting my hair cut by her since she worked at sports clips. The wait can be long, but if you call ahead they can put you on the list and it won't be too bad. I believe they have coffee, water, and snacks for those waiting as well. Tv is always on and you'll always run into a good conversation. They offer a military and police discount as well. read more

Hannah is my usual barber unless I forget and go in on a day when she's off and then I go with Toni. They are both very good at their trade and they all take pride in their work. They pretend to hear what you want, but just do what they want or I think whatever they know. They don't even bother to check during the hair cut, if they are in the right direction. It's no different than great clips or sports clips. Disappointed !! read more

First and probably last time. The man behind the counter was passive and almost rude and kept calling me by my name though i didn't know him (personally weird for me but nonetheless). The woman that cut my hair failed to follow my original (and fairly simple) instructions though it came out ok in the end. I might have missed it but there were no prices when I went in? Overall the customer service was the worst I've experienced when getting my hair cut though the cut itself was pretty ok. Not the worst cut I've gotten but odds are I will not return. read more

The stylist did not do what I ask. I requested a trim just like the previous times I had gotten a haircut. I can only assume she was in a hurry because there were people waiting to get their hair cut. She has always used scissors to trim my hair, but this time she used the clippers. I haven't had my hair cut this short since I was in the third grade. I would not recommend this place if there are peopled waiting to get their hair. To add insult to injury the cost of the haircut was 19.00. This was a 35% increase from one month ago. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I was treated so rudely and so were my children. Took my son(being it is a mans place I figured they could do the best for my 8 year old sons hair) for a haircut,he tried to speak and be nice to the man cutting his hair,and I get a complaint that my kid never shuts up-which pisses me off then upsets my kid because he was being nice. If you prefer not to have children clients,post a sign. If you prefer silence,post a sign or don't tend to children clients. We went here once and I'll not be returning again. read more

would not give Capps even 1 star but I had to so I could leave a review. Twice I have tried to get my hair cut here and twice I've signed onto the list and been left sitting while "stylists" came out and took customers they knew ahead of me. Friday March 9th was the last time I tried. I came in about 17:05, there were two people waiting plus the folks that were getting their hair cut.I was handed the list which I signed and sat down, a few more people came in while I was waiting and were greeted by name. The two people that were there before me were called back then the "stylist" came out and walked up to the father and son that had come in after me and said "are you here for a hair cut?" And took them back. Two more men came in and we're taken before me, the young girl at the counter kept looking over at me trying to avoid eye contact. I was furious and simply got up and left. The sir vice here is terrible unless, obviously, you know someone. I will not be back and cannot voice my contemporary for this business strongly enough. read more

Great place if you have unlimited time and nothing else better to do. I was a loyal customer of Capps for over a year, stopping in every 2-3 weeks (and a good tipper if I do say). After the past 3-4 consistent experiences of 1-1.5hr wait times, I have decided I will not be visiting again. I think it is great that their business is thriving (must mean good things about their hair stylists, etc), but I feel that their front-end customer service and management is lacking. The least they could do is greet you with a smile and keep you informed as you wait. Instead you sign the clipboard and wait, wait, and wait. My last experience I walked in with only 3-4 people in the lobby so I suspected it would be a quick wait. After an hour of waiting (and seeing people come in who I suppose signed in and left get placed before me) I thought surely I would be next. After 1.5hrs of waiting another gentlemen again got placed in the chair. This would have meant at least another 30 minutes (2 total HOURS wait time). So I got up and left. Not one single person that worked there said a single word to me that entire time. Nobody called (they have my number from the sign in sheet) afterwards to ask if everything was okay or apologize for the long wait. I just cannot accept this complete lack of customer service or concern for other people's time. I am so deeply disappointed and I hope Capps will consider changing its walk-in policies or at least train their front end staff to be better communicators. read more
