Excellent Bathtub Refinishing - Like New Again! I had my 60+ year old previously glazed tub refinished, and the results are incredible. Caprari Restoration (Nick) went above and beyond with meticulous prep--acid wash, degrease, etch, wet sand--before applying a bonding agent and a high-gloss resin finish with a non-skid surface. He also replaced the caulking around the tub with precision. He was professional throughout--kept me in the loop, provided the proper and necessary insurance paperwork required by my building, ensured proper ventilation during the process, and left the space spotless. My tub now looks brand new and feels even better. I could've gone with a cheaper option that just sprayed over old layers (lasting a few years) but I'm so glad I chose quality. I did my due diligence with research before hiring Nick to refresh our tile surround and refinish our 65+yo porcelain iron tub. Over numerous platforms, many reviews suggested he would be a great choice, unlike two other services that neighbors recommended, each of which had negative feedback. While not the least expensive choice, the 10 year warranty -- if following the aftercare guidelines -- made this a good investment for us. He assured us that if any glitches or blebs arose in the finish to call him. The result was spectacular! As others have said, he was courteous, tidy, responsive and truly professional. I couldn't believe the difference made to our old tub's hardware after he polished it, along with the beautiful spa-rific like-new tub and glistening, recaulked surround. Scheduling was easy, and Nick was responsive to my many questions before, during and after service. I will say that as a super-sensor, I could detect an odor from the refinishing product for a couple weeks, but my husband could not. We didn't vacate the apartment during the job, but did have the windows open.
