Good communication up to and including day of work. Then Allen did an amazing job with the actual project--cleaning and regrouting our bathroom floor and shower tile. I was really happy with their work. Bob 1 came in and helped me match the grout color. He showed up on time and was friendly. Bob 2 was running late, but he text me well ahead of time and showed up when he said he would. He was a nice dude and very cooperative with my family's busy schedule that day. He also cleaned all the tile--not just the grout haze but ALL the tile work. He even left is the remaining tile and grout cleaner and showed us how to care for our 80+ year old tiles. My absolute favorite part: the gap between the tile and tub was large. Bob 2 mixed up a combo of grout and silicone caulk to fill it. He even went fully around the tub even though that was never part of the job. That mixture looks sharp and has a more homogeneous look. I appreciate the attention to detail. The value based on what I paid is just unmatched. The shower looks new. I wish I would've had him do the entire bathroom. Thanks Bobs! read more

Just disappointed that I had this grouting done in my shower in May of 2021 and now it is March of 2025 and it looks back to what it originally was before having it done in 2021. I would have thought this service would have lasted longer. I listened to how they said to clean it and not using bleach. Wouldn't recommend. Disappointed that no offer or warranty was given. read more

I had them come out to repair my showers. The corners we showing cracks in the old caulking as the house had settled and I wanted it color matched to the existing grout. I should have just done it myself as I would have done a much better job. It's a thick and sloppy mess. It looks like a child did the work. For how expensive they were I was expecting a level of detail and quality I could not have done as a DIY project. Lesson learned. I was planning on doing a larger tile remodel next year but will be looking elsewhere. If you can't run a line of caulk you certainly shouldn't be doing anything else. Now I'll have to spend a weekend fixing their mistake. read more

Bob did an incredible job with our tile repair and helped turn a "just get it fixed" project into a revitalized look by recommending grout color choices. The price was very effective and I'm so happy we went with Grout Smith. Most contractors can't even do small tile/grout repairs, so it was wonderful to find them. I'm even happier that Bob was able to do a great job on top of fixing the structural issue. The office staff was communicative and they even helped get Bob out when there was a tiny strip that needed to be fixed (which was no fault of Grout Smith since it was the caulk from the original house builder that didn't mix with the 2023 caulk since we couldn't know what the original was made of). We were very seriously considering renovating our bathroom because we believed the grout in our tub was so unsalvageable. We called Groutsmith to take a look. John was prompt, gave us a quote explaining what would be done. The work was done at a fair price in a more than reasonable timeframe. 4.5 stars out of 5 I had GroutSmith come out to see if they could repair and rebond a few tiles in front of the shower. Unfortunately, we found that multiple tiles in my bathroom were loose and it made more sense to redo the entire floor. Their price was very fair, but Allen the tile contractor was the star of the show. He is the best contractor I have worked with, his passion and dedication to his work really shows. He helped teach me all about tile flooring and answered all of my questions along the way. I only knocked off a half star because a few of the tiles have some lippage and aren't perfectly flush, but you can't really tell unless you drag your feet across the floor. I will be redoing my guest bathroom in a couple of years and will once again reach out to John and his great team! read more

I wanted to facelift or bathroom and lighten the grout. But I still love our tile! Luckily I found The Groutsmith and had a free estimate and education on what services they provide. The flooring I wanted old grout out and new in. But the shower grouting was fine. Just wanted a color change to lighter.... they showed me options and explained what's done. Although The Groutmaster just finished my job days ago I have no worry about their customer care if I should need assistance in the future. I had a tiny (trust me only I would have noticed) spot that I wanted addressed. Happily they returned and without any questions my concern was addressed. The technician that came to our home was prompt, extremely professional and courteous. And the job looked good immediately after. A year and a half later,when we had post job issues, we texted and called the manager. We sent several texts and left several voicemails. He ignored us completely and did not respond, until we told him we are meeting with Consumer Affairs. Our caulking that was used looks terrible now, a year and half later. It did not hold up. Post Sale Service-was very unprofessional. We would not recommend them. A company that ignores a customer after the job is done and they have your money, is not a company that stands behinds it work. They should at the very least have the courtesy to call a customer back. read more

I used them for repairing a leak in my master shower. They did a great job but several months later, it started to leak in a different spot. On July 5th, 2022 Ben came out to assess the job and told me they were very busy but would get back to me. I called every 1-2 weeks over the next 6 weeks and left messages. I even offered to pay for the repair (even though it was part of the original job). As of today (9/3/22) I have not heard back. While I think their work was good, obviously I am very unhappy with their customer service and follow up. I strongly recommend you do not use them. I am now in the process of trying to find someone else to do the job. read more

WOW!!!! I Jake and Richie arrived right on time. On the dot. They got right to work. There was a snag within a short period of time. They got Mike on the phone and Mike accepted my way to resolve it which I appreciated. The guys worked for 4 hours straight and they banged a lot which told me they were doing the work I wanted which was remove caulk and replace it, clean the grout, seal it (they put 2 coats of sealant down) and also color the grout. They even gave us extra color to put down if something gets dirty which they said would most likely not happen. At the end of the job Richie showed me the bathroom and I ABSOLUTELY could not believe what I saw. The bathroom is 20 years old. It looked brand new. They recalled everything and I saw them remove the old caulk which was deteriorated. They didn't just caulk over it. We got a quote from another company. It was for a third of Groutsmiths price. Then I read their reviews. Terrible reviews. Everyone said stay away. Don't take the cheapest estimate. Groutsmith was worth every penny. USE this company. I would post before and after but I didn't take a before. They are doing my master in a few days. It's dirtier than our hall bath. I CANT wait to see what they do with that!! They left the job perfectly clean. If there was a 10 star option I would give them 10. I'm not related to these guys, don't work there. I'm a true customer. USE THIS COMPANY!!! Engaged groutsmith and repair a tile floor that was cracking. The initial repair did not hold so they came back (at a $100 charge) to repair. The subsequent repair was worse than the first. It looks as though they literally placed correction tape over the crumbling grout. It looks terrible and subsequently fell apart within several days.
