I had our first floor renovated in the house my grandparents bought in 1949. Underneath the dining…read moreroom and hallway carpet were the original floors made of Oak and Pine respectively. Floors I had never seen before until the renovation. The hallway floors also had tile on them which was underneath the carpet. Lucky all the floors were still in pretty good shape. My original kitchen contractor had pulled up the carpet and tile and sanded them. However, we parted ways before the job was done and I reached out to AC&T to do the floors because of their great reviews. It was true. Kevin amd his team are great! Kevin initially came out and looked at my floors, talked to me about what I wanted to do, made suggestions. The price for us was good and so we booked with them. We stayed in an airbnb for a few days while they worked on the floors because I was having them stained and we wouldn't be able to walk on them. The team came in and re-sanded all the floors including the steps and made them so much better. They also reinforced the steps and filled in any wood gaps all around. I was quite pleased with their work and would highly recommend to others. Kevin and his team are totally professional and get the job done.

Joe Hudson from Hudson Hardwood prompt responding with a comprehensive initial estimate plan, which was consistent with the later on-site walk through and precise estimate. The prices were in the range of what we were expecting from other estimates for quality work. The Hudson Hardwood team (special thanks to Marcos) were both flexible and prompt and in staging the work in two steps: refinishing the existing floors and installing the new herringbone. They put thick paper down to protect our existing flooring in the foyer and hallway, taped plastic to openings to other parts of our house to prevent the spread of sawdust, and moved furniture from both rooms. They removed the existing rugs, padding, tackless, and staples; these were boxed and bagged and put out for trash pickup. The sub-flooring was checked for new floor suitability. We verified that the flooring they picked up was the proper one (it was!). They put in screws to eliminate several squeaky areas, cleaned up all rip-out debris, and put down resin (?) paper before starting the install. Each strip of 2-1/4 tongue and groove hardwood was aligned and nailed down. Threshold and 1/4 round moulding was stained to closely match the flooring and properly installed. Scott and his crew removed all their tools, cleared all protective paper and plastic, checked for corrective repairs (touching up, setting and filling nail heads, etc.) to the new flooring, and moved back the furniture. Both rooms were completed the same day. Their work was a quality job, done professionally, and exceeded our expectations. Five stars and each one earned and deserved. (written by my dad, Lou G.)

Floor Install Systems deserves less than one star. Their workmanship looks worse than a DIY gone…read morewrong. They caught my stovetop on fire, broke the wood under both sets of cabinets, damaged all of the appliances, damaged the subfloor, sawed their materials in my living room and they had no precautions set up to protect my home from all of the debris they created. They didn't even bring a shop vac. All of my appliances were left unprotected during demo and are caked in tile debris. My sofa, pillows and blankets are all covered in saw dust and the air quality was so poor Servpro had to come in and put air scrubbers in the house. Who would have thought a simple floor job would cause this much damage and cause me to have to relocate . Unskilled, laborers are not worth the $ you saved to hire them. Floor Install Systems is taking no responsibility for the damage they have created and lied to the insurance company telling them that they agreed to fix it for me. That never happened, maybe you promised that to another mistake you made but it wasn't a conversation that we had. In addition, I had removed everything possible from the room, all they had to do was move the appliances but according to Jack it was my job to move those too (even though there is a charge in the invoice for the appliances). He would know that the rooms were empty IF he'd bothered to come look at the jobsite the following morning when I asked. Instead he kept putting me off until LL Flooring said they would take the info from me for him. Consumers beware, they also work for LL Flooring. The pics do not do the damage justice.
