Also you can buy a few drinks and food items right at the front desk, prices are reasonable. In addition the location is very close to Walmart on the north side of town coming in from Lincoln. The hotel has easy access to a large parking lot that is well lit at night. You get what you pay for and in this case a great location, with reasonable room prices for this nice clean hotel with a great staff! Great kitchenette, full size refrigerator, nice bathroom, large room for a double queen. The rooms are not worn! Read the reviews for all the hotels in Beatrice! The only breakfast at My Place is an order to your room, we never tried the breakfast. Instead, we went to Scooters Coffee Shop or Walmart during our stay. It is not worth saving a few bucks for a hotel with a breakfast, that is as subpar as their rooms and service! Farther south into town there are substandard rooms available that do not meet minimum standard for service or cleanliness in the hotel common areas, rooms, and breakfast! Read the reviews if you go for a cheaper option just rent one day, you will see what I mean. Believe me My Place has got them beat at a reasonable price for just a few dollars more, worth it!

The place is dirty, we never heard a vacuum cleaner running the whole 6 days we were there! They do not provide room service. Bring your own shampoo. Saw a small cherry seed in the middle of my room in front of the TV first night, left it there to see if they vacuum, nope! Second day since there was no towel change, or room service to change the sheets, we left the door knob card out to "service the room". Came back to the room that evening, the card was on the door knob, no clean towels, beds just as we left them that morning, trash cans full! I had to raise my voice to get the receptionist to get us clean towels, we removed the trash ourselves! We demanded a new trash can for the living area that was not sticky, got it, good job! Their answer is always the service people will be coming in, in the morning! But what do they do all day, watch cricket games in India!? They also have the audacity to leave a tip envelope by the TV, LOL! We did not eat breakfast there after the second day! On the second day the chipped beef was ice cold, biscuits hard. On this same day, with tornadoes in the area, when we entered the breakfast area the TV was on a cricket game in Darasalam India. I asked the desk receptionist to change the channel to the weather channel. She gave me TV Channel schedule I changed it to the weather channel! Other travelers were pleased! I can assure you no one traveling is interested in the a cricket game in India when there are tornado warnings in the area! From the 3rd day on we had breakfast at McDonald's or Scooters Coffee, recommended! One evening I decided to get a Pepsi and Candy Bar from the vending machines. I asked for change, the receptionist would only change a dollar, the drink machine only takes 4 quarters, fortunately I had quarters in my car for laundry.There is a great laundromat in town, fast washers & dryers! The candy machine takes paper dollars but BEWARE, cost is $1.75 each, actually 2 dollars if you don't figure it out! TIP: The change drop where your quarter in change drops is modified with a piece of cardboard so the quarter lands without making noise. There is a gap in front of this cardboard that gets your quarter in change, it drops it into the machine bottom where you cannot get it. TIP: Here us how you beat it; put in two dollars as you make your selection lift the coin change lid, when the quarter hits the lid lower it slowly you can retrieve your quarter before it drops in the gap to where only those with a machine key can open it to get your quarter! Bet they don't have a key!? Or just buy your candy at Walmart. In room 204 where we had the displeasure of staying the faucets are pitted and corroded, the hair dryer is cracked exposing electrical connections wiring, right next to the bathroom sink! The refrigerator freezer will not freeze ice bottles. Do not stay here, in fact my new policy and it should be your policy, book any hotel for only one day! They do not meet basic hygiene standards, like this one, move to another hotel, if not available go to the Walmart Parking lot sleep in you car! While in Beatrice NE, I will never ever stay here again! I have travelled the World stayed in one star 3rd World country hotels from Nepal to Myanmar this Victorian Inn "operation" is subpar to any 3rd World Country I have stayed in! There is no way this unprofessional hotel operation should exist in the USA! This is a zero stars hotel, based on hygiene and the attitude of the staff! Their response to this truth telling review will say it all! Next time in Beatrice if no rooms are available I will do a review on sleeping in my SUV at Walmart! Have a great day anyway!

My first impression was how cute to put a snowman face on the garage door, but then I stepped inside. It was like walking into a Hallmark movie! Exquisitely decorated. Warmly welcomed. The menu was even altered for my major food allergies. A great explanation of nearby restaurants and sites, with a paper map even included! The house itself is nicely decorated and has everything needed. The hot tub, walking path and tree swing just add to the magic and whimsy of a place we will certainly be returning to and thoroughly enjoying. Excellent job, Jeanna!

Very clean hotel - lobby and rooms. No funny "small hotel smell" which is good. The Hal's are…read morecarpet and could use replacing but the rooms are vinyl plank, which makes me feel better about putting my suitcases on the floor. Curtains are black out and a/c works well and isn't too loud. There is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and a makeup cloth and hair dryer. The not so great: decor is dated but I don't mind such things, The biggest "ding" is that there is no elevator. The hotel is only two levels but if you have a lot of luggage or you're disabled, it could be a big problem. My main complaint: the bed mattress is/eas horrible. Squishy but not soft and not firm. I can't explain but it was not a comfortable bed. Pillows are fine. The breakfast is OK. It's probably about the same as some other higher end hotels. Nothing else special to eat after breakfast. You're limited to Subway or PizzaHut for later. Having said that, this is a small town in Kansas at least an hour from larger towns. There are only three hotels. This is probably your best shot
