SCAM SCAM!!!!! The owner is a very dishonest person. He told me he was selling me a 10 gram chain. I paid him for a 10gram chain!!!. After I got home my husband told me he didn't think the chain was 10 grams so we took it to 3 different jewelery places and they all said that the chain only weighed 4.8-5 grams!!! He's a thief! DO NOT BUY FROM LOUKAS!!! He said he doesn't return money and he doesn't sell jewelry by weight!! Then why would he tell me I was buying 10 grams of gold!!???? He charged me 3 times more what the value of the chain really is! Other reviews said he's dishonest! I'm not the only one. Please buy from a reputable place!!! You'll save headaches and money!!!! Busy trial attorney shopping for gifts here while on honeymoon. Owner approached me, said no pictures. I replied "ok, no problem, this is a business call." He said, "no phone calls in my store. Trying to sell this jewelry", and asked me to leave. I left, walked down the street, found a jewelry store selling shipwreck coin style jewelry and bought a NICE coin ring from there instead. Two of us bought Hurricane bracelets from here. The bracelet is designed and made by Loukas, a master jeweler. There are 2 stores in KW. The other address is 220B Duval St, both owned by Loukas. Share this charming bracelet with those who have experienced your challenges and pleasures in life." That is a lovely thought for a beautiful piece of jewelry. Loukas re-sized one bracelet to fit my friends wrist. He'll size and polish your bracelet while you wait. There are women and men sizes. Loukas has a lot of unique pieces of jewelry that are worth looking at if you want something special for someone special. I don't expect, nor want (underline twice), to see a lot of these bracelets on anyone else. But the design is so unique and I am so pleased that I wanted to share my find with fellow Yelpers. I purchased a Key West Love Bracelet in October, 2021. I was assured , by the owner, that the unique clasp was very secure and the chances of it coming unclasped was unlikely. The bracelet came unclasped several times and now I have lost it completely. I am extremely unhappy that this has happened and I am disappointed at the craftmanship of this bracelet. I love that he allows you to trade in or trade up to new pieces. He keeps track of all coin jewelry. I have certificates of authenticity for each pice that I own. Several years ago I purchased, for my husband, a hurricane bracelet from Capricorn Jewelry in Key West. He loved it and wore it almost everyday for years. Finally, after taking much abuse, the leather strap broke. The bracelet is unique and sturdy and often gets noticed. So yeah, he was devastated to lose it. I called Loukas and told him the story and he said without hesitation send it to me and I'll fix it. I was skeptical. I mean who fixes things without a written warranty etc. etc. I mailed the broken bracelet and within two weeks we received a renewed, cleaned up bracelet. We were thrilled. I have multiple pieces of jewelry from him and they are all unique and well designed. Every year I bring my pieces in to be cleaned and get something new. If I could give this jeweler a -1 review i would! My husband bought a leather hurricane bracelet for me for Valentines Day as a recommendation from one I had seen about 4 years ago in their store. I received it and it was not the quality or size to fit that I had seen before and I called to get a refund. The owner said to send it back and I did at my own expense. When I didn't receive my credit card refund I called and he immediately started yelling at me saying he does not refund ANYTHING! In this day and age no business ever refuses to refund someones money if they are dissatisfied. Please beware of this merchant. Definitely not worth the money!!! read more

Bought a key to my heart bracelet for my girlfriend. Cost $138. The latch does not stay together. Returned the bracelet to Art Loukas for repair under the warranty. Cost another $6 to mail. Came back to me still not fixed. Can't be worn because the key does not stay together. Took it to a local jeweler. Told me they could change the latch but would lose the key design which is the whole concept of the bracelet. Asked Mr. Loukas for a refund. Was told "We only give you guaranty for the bracelet. No refund Im sorry.." Don't waste your time nor money at this shop unless you are looking to decorate only your jewelry box. read more

I was on a quick 4 day vacation and happened to see a picture of the Hurricane jewelry while visiting. I loved the look of the piece AND the story behind it. It was my goal to find the store and visit as we were walking Duval Street. Easy to locate and my husband and I walked in. Such a friendly greeting, we asked to see the selection of the bracelets and the piece was even better in person, I fell in love with the bracelet, it's message and design. We purchased the bracelet and pair of matching earrings. I couldn't have asked for a more gentle and lovely salesman, he values his store, his pieces and his customers. I will purchase a couple of other matching pieces from him online in the near future. He gave a very generous discount even though he knew I was going to purchase the pieces I had in front of me.
