Don Hansen from HHI performed an inspection at a house I own and acted very unprofessionally. He…read morenoted a flue vent on a hot water heater that he had concerns with. Rather than contact me to ask how I wanted to handle the issue, he called the gas company and had the gas at the house shut off. If he had a legitimate safety concern, I can even understand contacting the gas company, but I would have absolutely expected a courtesy contact and explanation. It took me two days to figure out what happened in interactions with the gas company. Overall, then entire experience was a disaster that could have been avoided if this jerk had just made a phone call.

Does a decent job of inspection, but is clueless about ethics. Was hired to do a female friend of…read moremine's home. Showed up without notifying her that he was coming. She has two dogs, one of which is good at escaping when the door is open. As it turns out she wasn't at home at the time. To make matters worse he let the boyfriend of the woman looking to buy the house accompany him on his inspection. So there was someone roaming her house while Aaron was doing the inspection. His excuse was that he showed up and wasn't supposed to be there until the inspection was over. Poor excuse, he let the boyfriend in. To say the least it creeped out my friend. You'd think he'd learn, but no. He showed up a few days later unannounced and walked into her house to remove his radon detector. When called on it behavior he apologized but seemed clueless that he should set up an appointment and that single women, especially don't like men just walking into their home and that it issn't appropriate to let someone accompany him on an inspection in a private home, especially someone he doesn't know. Find someone else to do your home inspection.
