They looked at my issues and advising me of who I connect to rectify them. Things are now good and its seems communication was broken in my end as to the extent of the inspection being done. We met our inspector 2 hours after our scheduled inspection time to go over his findings and he also addressed any of our concerns. We received our report that evening. I needed a home inspection due to buying a home. My realtor gave me a few websites to check out. I was impressed on how many 5 star ratings they received. So I decided on Boise Home Inspections. I met with Brain after the inspection on the house and he and I sat down so he could go over the results. Brian was very thorough with his inspection and he took the time to go over the results. Since I am new to the cold weather he also explained items I would need to know in the future. They even did a re inspection and both times Brian was very professional and friendly. Side note , they do most re inspections for free and their prices are very reasonable. I am very much into customer service and he did an excellent job on proving why they receive so many 5 star ratings. House hunting is tiring so when I put an offer on on a house and it was accepted, I was not excited about the next few steps. Two of my co-workers had recommended Boise Home Inspections since they both had just purchased homes. I called Jason and they squeezed me in on a Friday night/afternoon before I left town. Jason did a great job inspecting my soon to be casa. My dad even facetimed in to be a part of the fun. My expectations were blown out of the water. Jason was patient with my (and my father's questions) but he was also very detailed in his inspections. Once the inspection was over he said he would get the report to me that night (it was Friday) to my surprise, I received an email at 12:00 that morning! I never expected him to type up that report on a Friday night! Although he didn't have to, him keeping his word was impressive. We don't see that very often anymore. BHI missed a multitude of electrical and plumbing failures in my home inspection - but the worst of all was a BROKEN WATER MAIN. Although a "master plumber" did my inspection and specifically marked that the main shut off valve was inspected, it took a true plumber roughly 4 minutes to show me it was broken and leaking underground and had washed away significant sub base. The previous owner had dug it up and spliced it back together with hose clamps. It was leaking and I was told it was a "sprinkler". It ended up costing me 9 grand just for the broken water main. I contacted BHI and was told the owner was coming out to meet with me - he cancelled last minute and sent me to his insurance, who wasted a YEAR and told me to piss off. I would not run away fast enough. read more

I find that home inspections are about as much fun as a doctor visit for a physical, you never know what you will find and then you have to act like you know what they are talking about. I never felt this way meeting these guys particularly Danny, he was very warm and personable from start to finish. It was also great having a fellow veteran in my home, such a privilege to support a veteran owned business. I appreciate that he was efficient with my time and his, I also enjoyed all the knowledge of things to be aware or cautious of. I won't go in to boring details because... it's a home inspection people, it's very private! I'm just kidding I can't remember anything but crawl spaces, mold, yada yada. The Home inspector would not allow me to be present for home inspection. When I requested to witness the inspection, the inspector told me that it was for his "safety", because I could make false accusations. He blatantly denied me my right as a paying customer, due to my gender. It he needed additional accommodations because of my gender, he should have made them ahead of time. The truth was this was bs and me not being present made his job easier. Additionally, "Mold like growth" was not reported in the post inspection discussion, it was only written in the report. The post inspection discussion the home was reported to be in good shape, which the written report showed otherwise. This led me to not be able to trust the home inspection at all. I suggest you take your business elsewhere. read more

Will never use this company again. They knew the homeowners were out of town during the inspection and they shut off the power to the fridge in the kitchen knowingly and never turned it back on. It cost the homeowners hundreds of dollars worth of food damage when they got home and they wouldn't covered it. So we had to pay out of pocket ourselves for their mistake. read more

We are new residents of Nampa relocating from Colorado. Yesterday, Brian inspected a new home ( being built for us) in a Nampa subdivision. We were expecting relatively minor findings. When I bought my first house, I had no idea what to look for in a home inspection. This time around, I did my home work and decided to choose Brian Bayley and Boise Home Inspections. I was impressed by his experience both as a plumber as well as an electrician. The fact that he is a fellow Air Force vet and the company does give military discounts made it an attractive choice as does the upfront, no nonsense pricing. His inspection was more thorough than I could have expected and included clear pictures of his findings as well as a complete briefing afterward and answers to all my questions. The best part was his roof inspection indicated a failed roof caused by storm damage and he recommended the previous owner put in an insurance claim for a new roof. However when Kevin came out, inspected my future home he was very informative. He took all the right pictures and explained every detail. Being first time buyers we wanted to get great home inspectors and that's what we got! Their website is transparent and shows tons of reviews as well as background info and continuing education, which for me was important. Danny took lots of pictures and went thru everything step by step. I had the paperwork e-mailed to me with in an hour. Our specific need was for a new build and he pointed out a lot that I didn't know about or would not have thought of.
