So many errors and omissions. We hired Scott in July to purchase a new home in Boise. After 3…read moreweeks of living in the house, here is what we have been surprised by. 1. We had to replace 80% of the electrical outlets in the house because no plug would stay in. That was not in our home inspection report. 2. The bathroom outlets were not grounded AND didn't have GFCI. Your report recommended GFCi outlets but actually, it should have been a hard requirement. 3. A bedroom door and basement door both didn't even close and that was not in our report. 4. The water softener was not tested (turned on/off, or forced a regeneration cycle) and I know that because when I turned it on, water came immediately leaking through the basement ceiling and we had massive water damage because the drain tub was disconnected. 5. There is a broken air ventilator in the basement bathroom (vent wasn't even connected to a duct). 6. The garden hose connection on the front side of the house had a frozen pipe. First time I turned it on I knew what was wrong. 7. The AC unit is 25 years old; that "nearly end of life" status didn't show up in the report.
