Once I ordered, I pulled up to the window and paid then was told, "We're on a timer, could you back up or pull forward. When I refused they just handed me my order instantly and I checked my order to make sure it was there; and now Im being told, you got your order could you leave, We're still on the timer. Id rather make my own burger than be rush and ordered around when Im patronizing a business. What was the reason for me to pull up or back up if my order was already in your hands.

I also like their soda fountain drink machine which has numerous sodas to choose from. It also has several flavors to decide upon like cherry, vanilla, grape and etc. Now if you leave and want to go South, it's kind of a problem if traffic is bad. The parking lot has no potholes and the parking lot is pretty big. Customer Service: I got waited on quickly as soon as I walked up to the counter. They were friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. I received my order in a reasonable time. Also, If you want ketchup, you have to ask for it at the counter. Menu items ordered: The new Krispy chicken sandwich combo which includes fries and a drink. The chicken sandwich was great and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of additives. Fries were cooked just right as well. I had some coupons they sent me in the mail which helped me decide on what to eat and saved me some money. In summary, ask for ketchup at counter, bring coupons that you can find in your mail box or newspaper, and enjoy your lunch in a clean dining room with one of the nicest soda fountain machine you can find.

This is Clarksdale's Taco Bell. To sum it up, the food is pretty good but just average. The service…read moreis about average. Yep, typical Delta service for a Delta Restaurant. Yep, I will be back though. The customer service was a little slow and bathroom needs a little cleaning. Menu items ordered: Number 8 combo which includes 3 tacos and a drink. I enjoyed my lunch here today and my tacos were delicious. I recommend using mild sauce on each hard taco. You can get soft tacos too which most of the time I crave.

So when I talk about Delta barbecue, I'm coming from a place of love... and pretty high standards. Abe's is part legend, part myth, and all Crossroads. If it's your first visit, let me save you some confusion: yes, the tamales are one of the signature items at a barbecue joint. And yes, they're every bit as good as you've heard. I get mine with chili, slaw, and crackers, and I'll happily eat enough of them to make myself miserable--in the best possible way. Then it's time for a chili cheese dog, a pig sandwich with slaw, and enough sweet tea to float a jon boat. It's probably a good thing I only pass through Clarksdale every couple of months on the drive between New Orleans and my hometown. If I lived closer, my doctor and my waistband would both have something to say about it. This place is famous throughout the Delta for a reason. I've been stopping at Abe's for over three decades, and it has never disappointed.

I had the tamale plate, while my co-worker had the tamales and beans. Service was quick and super friendly, and there's a ton of memorabilia on the walls to look at.
