We visited this restaurant on our first evening back in Ireland, a very lovely place. Devour include's 2 large aquariums. We are greeted at the door by a gracious welcoming host who turned out to be the owner. The menu was interesting without being beset by crazy combination's which seems to be the latest craze. Staff was well versed in both service and teamwork being attentive and friendly.
We enjoyed the calamari as a starter well cooked with a lemon cream sauce. Instead of wine this evening we had a stout from Cork, Franciscan Well a tasty brew. The host recommended a steamed whole Sea-bass en papillote stuffed with lemon, caper, onion and herb. Very well cooked and a wonderful flavor. Served alongside was a salad of baby gem lettuce's tossed with a flavorful vinaigrette and chips. Which were crispy without being greasy. Desert was a creme Brûlée. All of the items were well presented. The owners are the chef and host who sent us some Tullamore Dew to end our dinner. read more
