I had issues installing my new audio system in my car so brought it to them for help. They quickly determined the harness I had bought (specified by the stereo seller Sonic Electronix) was incorrect and would not work. Had them install an Alpine stereo, backup camera, and XM Radio in my 2008 Honda Pilot. The install looks like something from the factory and was a nice update in my older car to offer all current hands free options. The rear view camera was not something odd like a license plate camera, it was drilled into the same area a factory install would be. They were on time, per estimate, and everything works as it should. They also offered about 10 minute training on new features and how to use. read more

I searched forever to find someone who would install a cruise control on a 2003 vehicle and no one would touch it. I called up CAR Audio & Security and there was no hesitation, they said they'd be happy to do it. In disbelief, I asked again, reiterated my vehicle make, model , and year, and again, they said it was doable. I had to pay for the equipment up front, which was reasonable, and then paid labor on the day of. Before coming to my appointment, I had realized I needed some routine maintenance done. The dealership wanted five times what these guys charged and to top it off, they got it done while the cruise control was being installed, so I only had to wait once. I had a deadline on the backend and they were able to accommodate my schedule. Now, three months and soon to be 6k miles later, the cruise control has been a life saver. I cannot recommend these guys enough! read more

I visited this store to upgrade my car stereo. Chris the salesman showed me 3 possible models that would work for my Nissan Rogue and I decided on an Alpine because I like the interface design. I was quoted a price of $900-$950 with the possibility of another $200 if they needed to replace my backup camera and Chris assured me he would call if this was the case. He also promised to send me a reminder the day before. My appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks later which was 9/26/22. I never received a reminder which I chalked up to the day before being Sunday- no big deal. I got a call about 2pm on Monday that they didn't have a certain part but they found it in Virginia and had it shipped overnight. I left my car overnight and didn't hear anything further until I was notified it was ready for pick up. When I got there the bill was $1140. I was confused because I never received a call about the additional charge. I was told the Alpine's harness would not work with my car so they installed a Kenwood instead. I asked why I wasn't notified of the additional money and especially the change in brand as I liked the look of the Alpine and they had no answer other than I should have been notified. I was told I could look at it before paying. I didn't mind the look of it so I decided to keep it. I had to try many different usb cables before I found one that works with the android auto. Today will be my first full day using it so fingers crossed it works without any issues. Just to clarify, I did not mind the delay of a day- my biggest issue was the lack of communication with the upcharge and brand change. Very helpful but pricey. They give no breaks when u bring your own equipment. Had an HD900/5 installed, JL C2 highs and mid, along with a W6 in a custom box. After having my car for nearly two days I get a bill for $900 for install. WTF.. to add to this BS the system doesn't sound that great. My box wasn't mounted to the car it slides in the back and the amp basic install on the seat. If you want to feel like you have thrown away a grand have them custom install your system. My fault I didn't request an accurate quote until they call recommending Dinomat. I also had my own amp kit which was not used. I understand that but why tell me you use one of yours when I received my bill. I'm done with these guys. 2015 Mustang install. Should have went to Dreamworks in Roxboro, NC. read more

Great communication before work was performed. Attempted to trouble shoot the issue my son was having with the volume on his sound system,they spent their time doing that and were unable to fix it and offered other options available to me without pressure to buy a system from them. They did an incredible job with my sons sound system. I could not be more pleased. They were professional,courteous,and forthcoming. Once the install was complete,they came out to the car to walk through some of the specifics of the system with me and my son. The price was comparable to other business,but I believe the quality and professionalism were paramount. I'd highly recommend this establishment for car security and sound system needs. read more

Just want to thank the great folks at Car Audio and Security for their help last week. They installed a cable in my Lexus allowing me to run my phone audio through the car speakers a few years back. When I couldn't get it to work, I stopped by. I simply had the system programmed wrong...not a problem with the wiring. They had me out of there in 10 minutes, no charge. I had a backup camera installed with Car Audio & Security earlier today and what a delightful experience. This team is extremely professional, clean with their work and just an overall pleasure to work with. I'm really shocked by the negative reviews on here and they seem kinda fishy to be honest. If you check out their Google reviews I feel that's more of a fair representation of them. Not only did they install a backup camera but they helped me fix my antenna/radio reception problem for free and also mounted a Bluetooth mic at no cost either. I can also say that I shopped around and others were charging a $100 more than these guys. Glad I found them. read more

i have done business with them for years! I had them put a radio with birdseye camera in my wife's truck. I paid $2200 after coming back in three times in three months i had them take it out to put the factory one back in. After having a complete yellow screen and things not working instead of just switching it out and me walking away they charged me $509 to remove a broken system! $2,700 and I have nothing to show for it! I am very disappointed in the customer service I have sent a lot of people there however, i Ont be going back. read more

I have spent nearly $10,000.00 at this establishment in less than a year and have had nothing but problems with the JL Audio HD 900/5 amp. I live in PA and I had two stereo systems installed in two different vehicles, both with this same type of amp. With the first install, shortly after returning home, we had to drive back to NC to have the amp swapped out. Then I ended up trading the car with the equipment still installed. Now, the car that I had done in mid march (3 months ago) has problems already as well. The amp is again not functioning properly. For $1,000.00 amp, one would think this equipment would work better. It sounds like boo boo! Once again I have to drive back to NC, but this time, to have the faulty equipment ripped out and my factory equipment put back in. I am over the junk JL, faulty equipment. Lets not even talk about the $1,000.00 I have to spend, AGAIN, on gas, hotel, and food for the trip! Nice people, but junk equipment! read more

I highly recommend this car audio business. I have worked with many car audio businesses both locally and state wide over the past 25 years with cars, trucks, boats, and jeeps. Chris and Tracie truly take care of their customers. Tracie recommended some head rest monitors for my current Jeep that are great and were not the most expensive. Once we went to install, Chris notice that my Alpine/JL audio system was not tuned right that was purchased and installed by an audio business out of town. It now sounds 1000% better!! He also notice that my battery was weak so he took me in his own car to a battery place to get the freshest battery possible and installed it. I was there just to get some monitors!! This is REAL and genuine customer service and they make sure that everything is to a "T" . I have been in the restaurant business and mobile phone business for 25 years and I know what it takes to work successfully with the public and truly LOVE what you do and Chris and Tracie are perfect examples of this!!
