Aggressively rude staff. A family member of mine previously posted a negative review after witnessing a current Scott's Body Shop employee loudly berating a customer service representative in the Big Rapids Meijer while wearing a Scott's Body Shop jacket. This was not the first incident of a Scott's Body Shop employee publicly doing so while physically representing the business's brand. Upon later reviewing Scott's Body Shop's Facebook page, they were able to confirm that the person they witnessed was indeed an employee there. After posting the review, my family member received multiple messages from one of the owners, demanding that the review be removed and claiming that the review was fraudulent or aimed at the wrong business. The owner of Scott's Body Shop even went so far as to find out my family member's place of work and show up there, talking to my family member's employer and attempting to confront them. That negative review was posted 14 days ago and my family member continues to receive messages from this business despite removing the review, all over a well meaning review regarding the public behavior of one of the staff employed by Scott's Body Shop! Due to this unacceptable harassment, my family member feared for their safety and privacy and deleted the review, but is STILL being harassed by this business. We are appalled, as it was expected that the business would be receptive to the criticism of their employee's behavior while publicly representing their brand and at most would offer some customer support or better train their employees on their public conduct. I will not spend another cent at Scott's Body Shop, nor would I recommend their business to anyone I know in the Big Rapids area. read more

I hadn't been to Scott's in a few yrs, however they have always been known for their quality work. Boy, did they come through for me. I took my 2006 Dodge Magnum to them for some work, and couldn't be happier. I scheduled the appt with Joe, and 5 days later brought her in. I was early, but they got right to her.I stayed so they made me feel OH so comfortable up front. Mike Lewis and Joe were GREAT to talk with, and the time seemed to fly by. Not only did they repairmy Magnum, but she had broken and missing parts to the tune of $15 that they gave me. I tried to pay, but was reminded that the estimate would be the total. I write this because QUALITY and CUSTOMER SERVICE seem to be a thing of the past-but at Scott's, it's the mantra that they live by. We had storm damage to our vehicle and remembered that Scott's had made a donation to our Boy Scouts. I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and modern waiting room and bathroom. I received an estimate promptly after just dropping in. They worked very well with the insurance company so I didn't have to deal with any of the red tape. I received texts periodically informing me at every stage of the fix. I received my vehicle back and was surprised to find that not only had they fixed the damage they had also fixed a couple of dings from rocks. It was also cleaned inside and out. Finally there was an ice cold bottle of water in the cupholder. Couldn't have asked for better service. Hopefully I never have to use a body shop in the future but when I do it will be Scott's body shop. read more

Let me preface this entire review by saying that my car is a 2000 camry. Most shops refuse to look at it for even minor things. Hardly any shops will even look at rust either. Unfortunately, my frame around my windshield was rusting and causing my windshield to break as I drove. Mike gave me a quote and got me in as soon as possible with the busy winter season. After 8 days in the shop, my car roof and windshield look brand new. They welded and sand blasted my car down and finally repainted my roof. Mike was always upfront with me about timeline and cost. I have already started recommending this shop by word of mouth. Praying that as a grad student I won't need other repairs, but if I do, I know where I'm gonna go! Thanks guys! read more

I was involved in my first accident and am not originally from Big Rapids - so I felt very lost when figuring out how to go about fixing my vehicle. My insurance agent recommended Scott's and I'm very glad he did. From start to finish, my experience was wonderful. Joe helped me. He did the assessment, brought me to Enterprise to get a rental car, kept me updating on the status of my repairs, and got my car back to me in a week! Accidents are never fun but Joe made it a very easy and stress-free experience. I hit some black ice on the freeway and recked my vechile. I took my car to Scott's Body Shop for the much needed repairs. They were just awesome from the beginning to the end of the repair process. They kept us informed about the progress of our vechile the whole time. We got our car back ahead of schedule and it looked like nothing ever happened to it. It was clean and detailed inside and out. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I had a big scratch on the fender that I needed to get fixed before turning in my lease and having to pay the damages. I took it here to get a quote. The lobby was beautiful, very clean, and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Mike the owner came out right away and looked at it for me. He was very friendly and honest and just a good guy. He ended up taking care of it for me in 10 minutes and saved me a fortune in the process. Could not have asked for a better experience. The gentlemen I mostly dealt with, Mike, was very friendly and explained everything. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company and so all I really had to do was drop it off and pick it up.
