It took a little while for me to get in (about 2 weeks) but I was really impressed with the service. Everyone was super friendly and I was able to talk to the technician who looked at my car directly. They ended up determining that I didn't need any work done and the rattle was just a loose heat shield and only charged me $25 and sent me on my way. I'd highly recommend them if you need transmission work - and - given the wait time and the fact the lot was absolutely packed when I dropped the car off I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels that way. I really appreciated the honesty and the ease of communication (texting!). 10/10.

One had 4wd problems & one shop here in Harrison was quoting $1000 before they even started. These did a complete exam & charged me less than $100 to fix a simple repair. The other truck was a different story, I just had a truck rebuilt & had spent big money from front to back rebuilds. The rear diff was going bad & I knew it was gonna cost me. Looked around & was getting prices around $2000 and that was on putting a used one in from a junkyard. Took it to these guys & got the whole thing rebuilt for less than a grand. Also my rebuilt engine was springing all kinds of leaks including a rear main seal . The place I had the work done was in the Detroit area. Knowing they didn't do a great job the first time & already taking it back twice, I called Lake to see what they could do. As always, he took great care of me , actually replaced almost every gasket in the engine & fixed it right the first time. I work in an auto parts store, so I deal with shops everyday. One thing I can tell you, if you can find a good shop that isn't looking to over charge you, your lucky. Not only do they guys charge a better than fair rate, their work is top notch . That's the reason I felt compelled to leave this review, not only to give these guys their due but to help people find a good repair place . Can't say how lucky I was to find them !!!!!

It was just a fluke with a bad gasket. They not only fixed the problem under warranty but they also fixed an unnoticed problem with my torque converter and did not charge me for that. I never take time to leave reviews but I had to this time. Most companies will not honor their warranty if the vehicle changes owners but SUPERIOR DOES!! That's an honest warranty. I thought that would save me a considerable amount of money. I had never pulled a transmission and found it more difficult than originally planned. Regardless, I got it out and brought it to them. They rebuilt it in about a week. It cost me $1200.00. I thought that was fairly high. I asked Wade (the owner) if I had saved any money pulling it myself. He said about 200$. If I had known that, I would have let them pull it. Regardless, it is fixed and it did come with a 2 year warranty.

D&W used to service transmissions for a small mechanic shop I worked at in Leelanau county, so I've seen them do over 40 transmissions in my short time as a mechanic. We never had a problem with any of their work! Not a single tranny, and I'd be willing to bet that's the norm for Wayne and the D&W crew. So now, when the trans in my plow truck finally had had enough, I confidently took it to D&W. Wayne took me for a diagnostic cruise in my truck so he could explain what was happening and what would have to be done for repairs. It appeared there was a nail in the tire. I lost 3 PSI in 10 miles again so stopped in Big Rapids. Tried the chain right off the highway but they were a 2 hr wait. Called Big Rapids tire and they told me they could help me out right away. So friendly and quick! We were back on the road within a half hour!
