They don't know…read morewhat it means to be accountable and what customer service is. i brought my car for a safety, left with more problems and didn't get the quoted work done. i was driving the car for almost 2 weeks and logged three 200 km (600km total) trips with no issues. they messed up my handbrake which wasn't an issue prior to me bringing the car in. killed my battery. dirtied my interior and exterior with grease marks. now i have a transmission failsafe message and have lost power. quoted replacements for both front and rear brakes and rotors. never changed the front rotors but charged me for the work. they weren't willing to explain why it wasn't done and didn't reduce my cost for the issues they created! they left a huge screwdriver in the engine bay that fellout when they test drove it to try to figure why my instrument cluster wasn't lighting up. again wasn't an issue prior to them working on it. oh btw he ran my back tire over that screwdriver, which i then picked up and asked if he was missing it and returned it. based on my experience and observations from inside the shop, they should be fixing small engines like lawnmowers. keep your cars away from this place!!! i'm not even sure they are licensed to work on cars. google is their best friend, not knowledge or experience. i saw the search history when he was trying to find why my cluster wasn't lighting up and where the fuse box was. didn't even fix my parking brake after making it loose. long story short i paid, sorry i mean got screwed over, they sent me to another shop for a diagnostic which they would cover the cost ( it was like pulling teeth to come to this compromise which was my suggestion), and now i have to go to my mechanic in my city. forgot to mention i was out of town and this place came as a recommendation from a chimpanzee. He explained to us how that type of transmission worked (it was all or nothing that needed replacing) and quoted us for both a new and used transmission. He kept us up to speed with how the work was going and gave us a timeline as to when he expected the car to be back up and running. I called around to a few places in London that did windshield repair. Some people on the phone could not give me a price off the bat, others would, but would ask me if I was going through insurance and leave me in the dark as to what that all meant and the implications of it. When I called Autostrata, the experience over the phone was totally different. I explained that this was my first incident and I've never had to do anything like this before. She clearly explained how the insurance worked and described to me the process. While it would cost me a bit more out of pocket to get my windshield fixed here, I was willing to pay more due to the service level I was receiving and the warrantees included. When I arrived at the garage, I was driven to my house for the afternoon by their driver and was picked up a few hours later when the job was complete. They explained to me the instructions to ensure the window settled properly and processed the claim directly with my insurance company. i was expecting a very frustrating process, luckily this was not the case with Autostrada and I would choose them again if I need to! Their staff is kind, helpful, and they do an amazing job!
