If you shop here often you can even become a Club Member and get 5% off all your in store purchases. I usually read the catalogues or look when I need something specific or see something we may want out on sale. They have had some great starter tool kits with a little of everything in them out really cheap. And we bought all out trailer lights and parts here when we fixed it up. I've always had good customer service here and their prices are comparable to most places on things.

I actually found this place on Trading Post online in a search I was doing. Purely by accident…read morereally. I was looking for trailers to buy one to replace our 6 x 4 cage trailer, which had a bent axle. I thought if I could pick up a cheap one it may end up costing less than fixing the one we had. But I saw an add for B.C. Trailer Engineers and a spare parts pack they did. It had a great sounding price and all we needed plus a few extra's we didn't need but could use anyway. I rang them the next day and confirmed the price and what it included, as well as the fact they were available in both stuf patterns, which they were. My partner went and picked them up one day after work. Their service was great and it was a really good alternative and ended up heaps cheaper to do that ourselves. Would never have thought to seek out somewhere like this. I always thought a place like this would be more expensive but they proved me wrong. Even if you don't live nearby it is worth the trip if you need something specific.

So after phoning all the big names or some tyres and the prices being very uncompetitive and having…read morepushy salesman on the phones, I remembered this place i drive past regularly on South Rd. I phoned them at 8am and was back home, tyres fitted, 30 mins later. When I rang they informed but not pushy, I told the man exactly what I wanted and was given a price that was good. He didn't try and sell me anything else or extras which I liked. When I got there they were friendly and my car was taken straight away while I waited in the seated area. The job was done quickly as promised and I left pleased! This place was cheaper then the big boys, not by a lot of $$ but enough to make me go back there again!

That said, the service is still good and the price I pay for it is reasonable as well. I really got tired of being taken on a ride with a lot of other franchised car service centres which shall remain unnamed, who would charge me 4 times than what I would normally pay because they managed to find things that "had" to be fixed in the car. Not knowing anything or much about cars, this made me an easy target for places like these and eventually I caught on that half of the things they recommended fixing were not critical to safety. Sure, your car runs better, things would be newer, but was it necessary? No, not all. At Paks auto you can expect a fair price, and the owner will call you up before he does anything outside of what you have asked him to do, such as if he finds something that really does need repairing. They do general servicing and repairs so if you live in the area and are looking for a place to do any of that with your car, swing by Paks Auto.
