I found the staff member at this store to be incredibly helpful however. He took the time to come out to my car and do some checks of my fuses, and even though I needed one of the few parts they don't stock, he still took the time to advise me how best to proceed and where I may obtain that particular part. I was very impressed. As a bonus he didn't speak to me like I was an idiot for my lack of auto expertise. In a nutshell - for the blokes and the chicks!

FYI - Also open 9am to 5pm on most Public Holidays!!!…read more I like this store because I got used to it when we lived a couple of blocks away from it a few years ago and we have just continued going there even though there are others closer to where we live now. We already have club membership here. Plus it's usually not out of our way anyway or it's worth the trip for what we save. The club membership is for 5% off I think but they give us more than that on some items. It's great. And they have always been the cheapest or they will price match. They have been fantastic with complaints, especially recently when we they had a faulty batch of brake rotos and we unfortunately got one of them. I was sent here y another store that did have what I wanted once. I wanted to get some touch up paint for my car. Unfortunately it's American and a weird colour and blah blah blah! I didn't care, for me close enough was good enough, it didn't have to be perfect. The guy looked up on computer, found what he thought and it was heaps cheaper than I expected. It matched really well, near perfect. He even gave me a print out of the paint make up in case I hae to get more in the future so it can be matched correctly. Great service!

I was asked if I had a mask by the staff, I told them politely that I had a medical exemption AND PRESENTED IT!!! Two of the staff (short, overweight, bald man in particular) began to aggressively verbally abuse me, for DESPITE presenting a VALID MEDICAL EXEMPTION, not wearing a mask. Honestly, it felt like this guy was looking for a physical fight. I have never in my life been spoken to so poorly and aggressively by a retail worker. Still in disbelief actually that this happened, just an absolutely appalling experience. This guy was behaving like an angry old drunk at a pub looking to cause trouble, not a retail assistant. Zero respect for the customer. I have shopped at this store for ten years as it is my local, but will never be back, and will spread the word.

But for me it was one of the very few places in Adelaide where you can rent motorcycles of different sorts by the day or longer. They have scooters, cruisers, off-roaders and tourers of various capacities to suit. The owners are brothers John and Paul, and they're the friendliest laid-back guys you'll ever want to meet. So much so, in fact, that you might want to go in a day or two early to complete your rental paperwork if you want to maximise your riding time! In my case, I took out a Yamaha XJ6 for a tour of the wonderful back roads and sights of the Adelaide Hills with a local (my brother) as my guide. In a standard day, we covered around 230km. So there's plenty of scope for anyone to get where they want to go within the 350km/day rental allowance.

After getting the runaround from multiple places, I decided to give them a try. Dave and the team went above and beyond to source exactly what I needed, even parts that I thought were impossible to find. The store owner, Dave really knows his stuff and is also a qualified technician with over 30 years under the bonnet. If they don't have it - they'll get it!.... is the store motto. I was looking for trailers to buy one to replace our 6 x 4 cage trailer, which had a bent axle. I thought if I could pick up a cheap one it may end up costing less than fixing the one we had. But I saw an add for B.C. Trailer Engineers and a spare parts pack they did. It had a great sounding price and all we needed plus a few extra's we didn't need but could use anyway. I rang them the next day and confirmed the price and what it included, as well as the fact they were available in both stuf patterns, which they were. My partner went and picked them up one day after work. Their service was great and it was a really good alternative and ended up heaps cheaper to do that ourselves. Would never have thought to seek out somewhere like this. I always thought a place like this would be more expensive but they proved me wrong. Even if you don't live nearby it is worth the trip if you need something specific.

Instead of properly…read morediagnosing a problem they would guess what was wrong only to find that the problem was still there after they were supposed to have fixed the problem. $1,000 here $1,000 there and the problem still remains. Water pump they installed failed after 18 months. Starter motor they installed failed after 11 months. Nearly $1,000 spent on guessing what my fuel delivery problem was and the problem still remains. The one that takes the cake is when they said I needed new bushes. A grinding noise was coming from the left hand wheel but they insisted it was the front end bushes. $600 later the grinding noise was still there. I was furious and when I confronted them about it their response was, "The bushes needed to be replaced anyway". They said the grinding noise could be the left drive shaft so they replaced that. $500 later the grinding noise was still there. They then said they would get to the bottom of this problem at NO COST TO ME!!! When I got my car back they had replaced the drive shaft AGAIN then blamed my car for the problem. They said "It was the cars fault. It was 1mm out and we had to custom make a drive shaft to fit" I have heard some porkies in my time but that outright lie took the cake. Because they said it was the cars fault, they said it wasn't covered by a warranty so they charged me for the repair, costing me another $500. They also replaced one engine mount without telling me first. Lucky they allow part payments because I refuse to pay the amount owing. Now they have the cheek to threaten to hand the debt over to a debt collector. I am now in the process of making a formal complaint to the RAA. If that gets no result then I will take it further until I get justice. Be warned about this mob. They come across as caring and genuine but they are far from it. Oh yeah and that was just my car. They also ripped off my son and my friend. They installed a new alternator in my sons car and when that failed about 3 months later they blamed his stereo system and sub for the part failure and refused to repair it under warranty. Another repair they did resulted in my sons car breaking down the next day. It turns out they forgot to put the air cleaner back on. That made my son half hour late for work that morning. They also replaced his radiator with a so called new one. It failed within 1 month. They couldn't come up with a believable excuse so they had to replace it free of charge. There are many other things that went wrong with our cars thanks to them, too many to remember.
