This is the only shop, I would send my mother or girlfriend to and never worry, about them being taken advantage of. I first met Bobby when I needed a tire repair. The Shoppe repaired the tire properly, cleaning the inside, scoffing up the area to be glued, putting in a proper and high quality inside patch and plug repair. I have been driving on that tire and never once, had a problem with it, not one leak. Eventually my Subaru needed its timing belt done. This is when I learned that The Bobby Shoppe only uses original manufacturer parts, nothing aftermarket. This was the same mentality I have and was so glad to see it reflected by the Shoppe. I provide the Subaru parts and they did an excellent job. Better then any Subaru mechanic. They did the job right the first time. To finish it off, their price was fair and affordable, nearly half of what the dealer wanted. After that, I brought my Subaru in to have the valve cover gaskets replaced. They, again did an excellent job. Better then when it came from the factory. Shorty after, I needed a front wheel bearing. Talking with Bobby and Scotty, I decided to do both front bearings. I also, gave them new front ball joints and outer tie rods. They really did an amazing job and once again they charged an affordable and fair price. I have never had an issue with anything they have ever touched on my vehicle. My vehicle was always returned back to me better and cleaner then when I dropped it off.

He gave me the code to search for myself and said he had to get the details for my particular model Unheard of !!! I most recently had a breakdown of my vehicle which was believed to be my alternator (which made sense because I had just recently replaced my battery ) The replacement of a new alternator was going to cost a substantial amount of money, after giving them the green light to work on my vehicle and showing up to pick up my vehicle I found that they were super professional, communicative and informative handing me the faulty cable connector that caused my original alternator to not work efficient- I find this type of integrity and honesty to be bar none and feel that more mechanic shops should use this type of customer service this is the kind of place you can be sure won't take advantage of you! I Hate To be a negative glass half empty person But I feel most mechanic shops would've changed the part anyways to turn a profit.

This place failed to inspect my vehicle and lied about being able to inspect my vehicle because of…read moremy window tints and how he didn't know how to by pass the tints and enter numbers.. a huge excuse...even with a valid NYS window tint exemption sticker displayed I was still given a hassle. Last year Tom stated in front of my husband " where did you buy that sticker from" which was very insulting & humiliating. As upset as I was I told him no sir, my doctor filled out my medical form. Thank you... he remained quiet and he did my inspection in 2023 Caution he will judge you, based on color, race, gender and disability....I called back to advise I spoke with DMV IN Albany, I provided my cell phone and he NEVER called back yet claims customer satisfaction is his priority? Yea ok, you turned me away it's all recorded and on my car dash cam as well! BUT.... 2024, This year he denied services to me, to inspect my vehicle. I even contacted NYS DMV and they said this location was not to refuse service if they have an inspection license. Well they did, I tried reaching out again and they did not call me back so now I am blasting them and reporting them. I even filed a complaint with DMV, form VS 35. **let me reply to his comment on another review I did in which he replied: MY dash camera which I have uploaded pictures from, verify my presence at your shop 2/22/24, and me driving away as you refused to inspect my vehicle. You never called me back or left me a voicemail, all lies... cell phone bills don't lie! I even left my number with your rude mechanic who became hostile when I advised I was filing a complaint against your facility w/ DMV which I already did, nor did I say forget it. After you stated you could not do my inspection; as you had to do numbers or had no way to enter numbers regarding my tints, I said forget it because you already refused services and I was not going to keep begging you. As a register DMV inspection site, you were to see my NYs exemption sticker; which you claimed I brought off the streets last year judging me, match it to my plates and proceed to inspect my vehicle. But I will obtain legal counsel as I have been violated from my civil rights from this facility. I didn't pay for my exemption I have a legit medical condition and you are not to judge. It's sad a shop in my local hometown did this and has no knowledge on the NYS tinting laws. I don't give business to places that immediately discriminate I have found a place and will inspect my vehicle. I will make sure your facility is fined. I don't do things illegally, I am by the books. You judged the wrong person & there was NO service provided to me so yes I am un-happy with YOUR refusal to inspect my vehicle. They discovered that the tire had a leak in the valve stem, which they replaced. They also checked the air in all of my tires. When I got home, I went to put the donut back in its place, along with the tools, only to discover they had not only put the tire back, but all of the accessories were also put back in their holder! Very nice people, and they only charged me $20! I think I've found my new car mechanics!
