Hired them to repaint the house. While most of the work on the walls was fine, all of the other…read moreproblems make me strongly discourage hiring this company for all but the simplest of jobs. Upon completion of the job I noticed none of the interior doors closed properly. Upon further inspection I discovered that for some reason all of the hinge screws were replaced with random mix and match screws with various head types which made the doors unable to close. I complained and asked that they be replaced with proper hinge screws and they said they would do that. Unfortunately, they instead selected very thick, long screws which were still not hinge screws (see photo comparing hinge screws with what they selected). The doors were usable but still did not operate like they did before. As these screws were very oversized I was forced to remove them all, fill the holes with wooden dowels, and then add in the proper hinge screws. This job was made even worse as the painters for some reason took the doors off the frames but painted the hinges, many of which were brand new and needed to be replaced. They also badly scratched every door knob in the house, which was frustrating since they were replaced just before this project started. Outside of the door issues, they forgot to paint a few areas and got paint on trim in a few places, but I would have probably overlooked this had the doors not created hours of labor and cost me hundreds of dollars in replacement hardware.

Within just a few days, they had someone on my roof performing a thorough inspection. My roof was nearly 30 years old, had multiple leaks, and several other issues. They walked me through everything they found, explained exactly how they planned to fix it, and answered every question I had. They are licensed, insured, and the roof comes with an extensive warranty. Citlaly arrived with samples of different roofing materials, colors, and underlayments. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the differences between each option so I could make an informed decision. Everyone I dealt with was warm, professional, courteous, and genuinely pleasant. At no point did I ever feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. That same day, they provided me with an extremely detailed, itemized estimate outlining every aspect of the project. The pricing was very fair, and the scope of work actually exceeded my expectations. The only unknown was the amount of wood that might need to be replaced once the old roof was removed, which they explained upfront because it couldn't be determined beforehand. The entire process was incredibly convenient. All of the paperwork was handled electronically through e-signatures, making everything quick and easy. Once I approved the estimate, they had a crew on my roof within two weeks. The crew was phenomenal. They arrived on time every morning, worked incredibly hard throughout the day, and were always friendly and respectful. They would even smile and wave as I took my dogs outside. They were efficient, organized, and it was obvious they knew exactly what they were doing. I work during the day, so they completed everything while I was gone. Every evening when I came home, the job site was spotless. Not just "picked up," it was immaculate. My driveway and backyard were actually cleaner than they were before the project started. One thing that really impressed me involved my security camera system. I had installed it myself, and the wiring was honestly a mess, with cables running across the roof and cameras mounted to the fascia boards. I fully expected them to ask me to remove everything or charge me extra to deal with it. Instead, they never even brought it up. They carefully worked around every wire, temporarily moved what they needed to, put everything back exactly where it belonged, and never charged me a penny extra. It was actually much neater when they finished. When they removed the old roof, they discovered quite a bit of dry rot. It looked to me like they replaced a significant amount of fascia and damaged wood. I was preparing myself for a surprise bill of $1,000 to $2,000 or more. Instead, they charged me exactly what they originally quoted, plus only $500 for all of the additional wood replacement, labor and painting which took them almost a full day. Another pleasant surprise was that they didn't ask for a deposit. I didn't pay a single dollar until the entire project was finished and I was satisfied with the work. They simply texted me a secure online payment link where I could pay by bank transfer or credit card. They even absorbed the credit card processing fee, which is almost unheard of on a project this size. Most importantly, the finished roof looks absolutely beautiful. I'm not a roofing expert, but I know quality craftsmanship when I see it. Everything is straight, clean, and perfectly aligned. The drip edge, flashing, corners, and overall attention to detail are outstanding. JV Roofing should be extremely proud of both their employees and the way they run their business. They are honest, fair, hardworking, and clearly take tremendous pride in their work. JV Roofing completely earned my trust. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone needing a new roof.
