The food took forever, so after 45 minutes, the waitress brought over two bowls of "coleslaw" to placate us. When the food finally arrived, over half the orders were wrong in one way or another. The food that was supposed to be hot was nowhere near so. The Poutine was soggy. The fried chicken was burnt black, but we decided to peel the skin off (it SHOULD have been the best part). The meat was dry and had no flavour whatsoever. This place makes Swiss Chalet seem like a 3 Michelin Star establishment. I would steer clear.

The ambiance looked great from the outside with an open front in the summer time, which drew us in…read more Despite speaking French to the waitress (my wife is fluent), the black-died-haired, tatooed waitress dictated English was going to be how we spoke. (We came to Quebec partially to drink in the culture and speak French, but okay....) Flat beer... I did not finish it (rare event) White wine was much too sweet. Horrible ribs Horrible ribs at a smoke house? Yea Sent back the first order because although the plate was hot the meat was cold inside. Were they microwaved? They came back luke warm 5 minutes later. (This time more moist, like they were boiled a bit, then re-sauced.) There was way too much sauce... And the sauce was aspiring-to be Costco-type-quality... But did not come close, (and I do not believe Costco has good quality.) I eat out a lot. This was unusually bad. So bad that we did not finish even 1/4 of the ribs. Not sure how a smoke house with horrible BBQ is supposed to make it.

The waitress turned down the music but the fan noise from the vent hood in the kitchen is extremely loud. They would be wise to spend some money to fix that.

I said that we wouldn't have come in to eat if we knew that they were closing at 9 pm. I mentioned this to our server and said that we are holding her up from her Friday night activities. She said yea ,it's Friday night and looked irked We were still eating 15 minutes after closing. The cook came out and said that this was his 14th hour working and were told to get take out boxes and leave immediately. The meal cost over $120. It was with Family. I've never ever been told to leave a restaurant eating after closing. Called the next day , and spoke with the Manager. He stuck up for his Staff and started yelling through the phone. He said something wrong that he accused us of. He said his server was 18 and shouldn't have been told how unhappy we were. So, unprofessional! Do not go there. The food was so so for the price.

The service was not good. People that came in well after us got there food before us. Our waitress was definitely overwhelmed and getting clumsy as a result. She knocked a woman's purse off her chair and a glass of water over. She was forgetting things and just seemed overwhelmed. When we finally got our meals they weren't good. I ordered the filet mignon with butterfly shrimp. The shrimp was split open but still had the shell / legs on it. I don't believe the steak was actually a filet and was definitely overcooked. I had ordered potatoes too in lieu of fries and never received them. I asked the waitress about them. She apologized and said they would be right out but I never got them. They were on the bill and I had asked that they be removed. My daughter and boyfriend's meals were just ok. No real flavor. Overall it was disappointing and overpriced for un flavorful food. I would not go back or recommend.

We were seated immediately by a friendly waitress. I got the Tom Collins drink, which was great, and my husband was recommended a really great red wine (I don't recall the name). He got the 4 course dinner (fantastic deal for the money) and I ordered a half rack of ribs. My ribs were very good, but a bit fatty. His dinner was incredible. It started off with one of the best french onion soups I have ever had. It was the perfect appetizer for the cool winter. His main course was filet mignon, which was tender and perfect. Dessert was delicious - apple crumble with ice cream. Loved this place!

There is both the pub side with TVs for sporting events, and the dining room side with a log cabin type classic feel. Wait staff are extremely friendly. Got here just before a rush - the place does get very busy! Appetizers we ordered the tapas trio - which is your selection of 3 apps. We got the chicken satay with an awesome peanut satay sauce, the deep fried cauliflower, and the truffle potatoes. The truffle sauce for the potatoes was amazing. Very complex and just enough to split. The main course with the braised short ribs with the mashed potatoes. You don't have the upgrade the side - the mashed are a staff favourite. When the main course of braised short ribs came, it was amazingly tender, fall off the bone, and the sweet sauce was just right. The creamy mashed potatoes and veggies made a perfect finish. Cannot compliment the place enough. It lived up to the reputation and we will be back again! Great place for a dinner with friends or family just a few minutes from the slopes.

Thankfully the steaks were cooked medium rare but it was very tough and grizzly. The poutine of the day was not worth ordering. It's super loud here. Wish the portion size was a bit larger. It worth adding the ice cream.
