Both Delta and United (perhaps dba SkyWest) serve this airport and there are a few flights a day between the two of them, particularly during the peak tourist months. But I suspect most of the traffic comes from the Fixed Based Operation (FBO), Redtail Air, who offers lots of sightseeing flights, charters and shuttles. The airport is so small that I don't think there is even a map of it and I believe there is only one gate for commercial aviation. Basically when your flight is called you walk out on the tarmac and up a flight of stairs to board the plane. Given the small size I don't think there is any food service on site - just a few vending machines but there are car rentals on site. I rented through Enterprise and I think Alamo and a Jeep company might be on site too. When I say onsite I mean that when commercial planes are landing people will be at the desk to rent cars. Otherwise you have to get your car key out of a locker and drop your car keys in the night drop. If you don't want to rent a car and need a ride from CNY I recommend Moab Express who, like the rental car agencies, plan their appearances at the airport around the commercial flight schedule. Alternatively, you can book a private shuttle with Moab Express for a CNY to downtown Moab run. Overall, a nice little airport and you certainly can't beat its proximity to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park!

We've been to Moab twice before this trip but chose to start here this time. It was three flights to get here but saved hours of driving. There isn't really a baggage claim so you kind'of stand around outside baking in the sun until your bags are brought to an outdoor metal table area and loaded there. It was 105 the day we landed so I didn't really wanna do that. I stayed on the plane an extra 10 minutes to get my plane side bag. It's really simple inside with only one car rental window for like 3-4 vendors and one TSA area. Bags MUST be checked in like an hour before your flight or you will miss the flight and have to wait. And it's such a small airport it could be the last one of the day. So make sure to get here at least an hour early! We rented a car and used Alamo from here and had no issues. The car was ready and was a free upgrade for us in size and luxury.

PVU only had one for AA. Wish they'd put a sign saying when they'd be back or something. . On airside, I noticed an "animal relief" sign at the end and got excited, hoping to discover the airport employs dogs for emotional wellbeing. Turns out it's just a lil room for you to bring your own pet to spend time. Some airports actually employ wellness pets, y'know?

I went through security and made a mistake because I had my tablet in my bag instead of in a separate bin. WITHOUT me knowing it, they removed it and did not inform me that they did that!! I got on the plane, looked for it, and NO TABLET! My husband called Provo airport immediately and lost and found said there was nothing they could do that day; AND 4 DAYS AFTER because they were gone for Memorial Day weekend. Then on Tuesday, I called again, and still no sign of my tablet. Inga in lost and found didn't do anything for me, even though I was in tears talking to her. I called then the following day...now this is 7 DAYS after my flight; and spoke then with Ashley in lost and found. She went above and beyond to go and find out where it was. She called me immediately and told me she found it. I was SO HAPPY!! Thank you Ashley!! This is ridiculous. Get your act together TSA at PVU. If you remove something, let the flyer be aware!!

I first reached out to Redtail in April 2022 with various questions about getting a charter from Durango to Moab in October 2022. I was nervous about the idea of booking a charter, in part because I didn't want to get stranded in Durango and miss an important event we had planned in Moab. Amanda was so incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions when I first booked our flight in April and all of my questions over the next six months. Amanda immediately gave me confidence in flying with Redtail and she was helpful in pointing me towards options for rental cars. When the day of our flight came Barbara picked us up in Durango. Barbara was welcoming, friendly, entertaining and most importantly a safe pilot. She even helped us load our luggage in our car which I thought was very kind. While she safely navigated from DRO to CNY she gave us some recommendations for what to see and where to eat in Moab and she pointed out some sights too. We loved that she pointed our Corona Arch because we hiked up to that arch later that afternoon. We really enjoyed our flight with Barbara! In addition to doing charter flights, Redtail Air Adventures specializes in scenic tours over Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Redtail also does river shuttles such as dropping or picking up people who are going to hike, bike or raft somewhere in the wilderness and they need a one-way ride. RedTail Air is a terrific company offering reliable flight services.
