I stayed at one of the local RV parks. I was here for four days because of wind storms. I was going stir crazy. Even though I had plenty of food, I wanted to try a new recipe to pass the time, and discovered, OOPS, didn't have all the ingredients. I don't tow a car. I carry a bike, but it was too windy to ride the bike. Grocery store too far away to walk. I googled, and found out, WOW, Rawlins has a taxi service! I called. They were able to pick me up within 20 minutes of my call, and took me to the grocery store. Price is $8 per ride. Little pricey, but I was desperate to get some ingredients to do some cooking while I was stuck in Rawlins. They have 24 hour service, but it appears there is only one driver. So, don't expect instant service. When I called for the return trip back to the RV park, I waited an hour. Meanwhile, during that time, I discovered there was another taxi service. I canceled the ride with Carbon and ended up taking the OTHER taxi service back to the RV park. But I still can't complain, I think they do the best they can. read more
