This was by far the nastiest hotel toom I have ever seen. There was blood(?) on the sheets and lampshade. The sink had not been cleaned, the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time, the shower had not been cleaned. There were used earplugs on the floor. Paint coming off the walls. Broken, burnt outlets. The coffee pot had not been cleaned. The sheets smelled used. The room smelled moldy. When addressed with the attendant, they just shrugged their shoulders and said "It's the best I can do". When requested to have it cleaned the request was denied. When asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else that was denied as well. We paid full price to stay in the room less than an hour before we left and found another hotel. read more

At the continental breakfast, our youngest daughter almost began eating an extremely moldy waffle.. mold that had been there a while. Short, curly hairs and brown stains all over shower cap, deeply stained mattress. Check out the pictures... I spoke to the front desk and requested contact from management. I was told I would receive a call but the call never came. I reached out and spoke to a friendly representative about our experience and I requested a full refund. She said she'd check with her manager but felt confident she could get that. She called back ten minutes later and offered a 50% refund. I mentioned to the person on the phone that I would be sharing my review and pictures online. The once friendly representative became immediately frustrated and accused me of threatening the hotel to get a full refund and that they would hop on the review site and respond to my review. In the end, the waffle with 5+ day old was beyond an oversight and our five year old daughter selected it to eat. Luckily my wife saw it before that happened. I would not recommend staying here based on our experience. read more

For the money, an excellent value. Everything in this hotel is new and works. Everything is clean and hotel is quiet despite being next to freeway. Only drawback is free wifi speed capped at 400k, my mobile downloads at 6-7megs. Any hotel should have internet speeds as fast or faster than the current mobile speed. read more

This place isn't a terrible place to stay, but it's not the best either. The place is clean and quiet, comfortable beds, nothing to complain about there. But when we first got here we were given the wrong room number and that was frustrating. The breakfast was pretty awful. Not many options and the few things they had didn't look very appetizing. Better off going to somewhere else for breakfast. No employees around to take care of anything. Seems like only the bare minimum is done here. read more

We're talking about a small independent motel in the middle of Wyoming, in a small town, next to the interstate. No, it's not the Ritz. But if you're passing through or going hunting around Rawlins, it's a great choice. VERY clean and modern, comfortable rooms, nice complimentary breakfast (eggs, toast/bagels, bacon, cereal, coffee, juice), nice folks at the front desk. What more could you ask for? True, the wifi speeds are horrendous, and if that is your key concern, maybe you need to bring your own hotspot. If you are in Rawlins, you're probably here for something other than working on your remote desktop. read more

Pleasantly surprised by a non chain hotel. Great price, clean room, and friendly staff. Does not have king rooms but no biggie. All rooms were 99 plus tax. You also get the continental breakfast. Kinda weak in that area, but I am not a big breakfast eater. Would stay here again. Very close to I-80. Thought might be noisy but it was fine. read more

Staying here on July 25. The front desk was very friendly and efficient. BUT the free wifi is so slow as to be totally unusable AND the cell signal is so weak there is no internet service. We booked this hotel based on reviews. By the time we arrived around midnight, a very exhausted attendant met us at the front desk and profusely apologized that our room was unavailable. Apparently the entire staff had quit that day. After a very long day of driving, we had to scramble to find another hotel. I would book cautiously. I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars. The check-in process was super efficient, the rooms were great, the price was crazy low... but that breakfast. We've stayed in hundreds of hotels and this was literally the worst hotel breakfast ever. Everything was watered-down and as cheap as possible. Had a great stay! Super quiet location, friendly staff, safe, affordable, and pet friendly. Husband and I are making the journey from Oregon to Michigan, and had a car full of stuff we felt comfortable leaving over night. Have been to many middle-of-nowhere hotels in our day, and this surpassed expectation. Loved the day beds over the heater--felt like we had more room, and very comfortable/warm. Paint over an old, run down hotel. At first look this place seemed like a steal, $40 less than the HI Express and it looks great in photos. Upon arrival it appeared there was a problem, dark parking lot at 8pm. Only one light in the lobby, we almost thought it was out of business. Desk girl was great, friendly and accommodating. That was the best part of the stay. The hotel is VERY pet friendly, so bring some allergy meds. Once on our floor the stench of old cigarettes is overwhelming. Really. It's that bad. Our key cards didn't work, went down, got another set, one out of two worked. Rooms are old, dirty and just have a fresh coat of paint to cover the rot. AC/heat unit was not functional and we had to go down again to inquire. It was recommended that we plug it in. Under the dank, dirty old unit we found it was in fact unplugged. Plugging it in brought a flurry of dust from the machine which covered the room in a fine coat. The bed had hairs visible on the white sheets, absolutely disgusting. We wiped them off and settled in to wind down with the massive 27inch SD tv. Overall not a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend paying the extra $$ to stay somewhere with some standards and somewhere that at least appears clean. read more

We have stayed in Rawlins on occasion. This place beats any others so far. Comfortable bed, new facility, clean, friendly, all in all quite reasonable. You could do worse and pay more in this town. I'll be back. read more

We stopped in Rawlins for the night on a road trip and it was such a great find! It was really easy to find and was a lovely new hotel. The rooms are nice and very clean along with the bathrooms. The wifi was great and the heating/aircon worked well. There didn't appear to be much going on in the town itself but there were a few different food options not far away and a Walmart for groceries. The beds were very comfortable which led to a very nice overnight stay. Highly recommend to everyone! read more

Great freshly cooked cookies in the lobby, breakfast was more than continental, a real plus. A very good value, booked through Hotels.com and saved a few bucks.
