Following the final service call, I realized that some personal property items were missing from a storage container which was located adjacent to the boiler installation area. Other than Preece Heating service personnel, no other individuals had access to the basement. Although I have no physical or visual proof that Preece Heating service personnel are in any way responsible for the absence of these items, I do know that the items were present prior to our boiler's installation--and were missing following Preece Heating's final service call. I twice attempted to contact Preece Heating concerning this matter and have received no response. So, whether it be Preece Heating or any other repair/installation service, I strongly recommend that you either have security cameras available to monitor the work being done-- or, maintain a physical presence throughout the repair/installation service. Sometimes trusting the professionalism and ethics of a business concern isn't enough. We learned the lesson the hard way.

Furnace stop working. Called Nerthling's to come and service the unit. When the tech arrived, he…read morespent less than 5 minutes and told us it was the heat exchange, and we need new Furnace. Funny thing is the heat exchange is under warranty. Within 5 minutes of him leaving a sales rep had arrives to quote a new furnace. Thinking that is was not right, I contact another service provider. When they arrived, they checked the unit over and found that the drain trap was clogged and had the heater working in less than 20 minutes. They also checked heat exchange and Secondary heat exchange and found no issues as noted by Nerthling's and the need to a new furnace . Nerthling's us to be a very reputable but with my last couple experience with them and reviews I am know reading, looks like Erie has a lot choose for HVAC needs.
